2010 AR Conference Held Against All Odds

More news stories on Activism

Jared Taylor, Special to AR News, February 22, 2010

Despite unprecedented threats and intimidation, the 2010 American Renaissance conference took place in the Northern Virginia as originally planned. Four hotels successively broke their contracts to hold the event—the last one just two days before the conference was to begin—so we sent out notices to registrants telling them there was to be no conference.

However, our supporters refused to let us cancel! So many people told us they were coming anyway that we put together what turned out to be a very successful last-minute program attended by 70 supporters. Now we are getting complaints from people who say they would have flown across the country if only they had known, but we did not even have a venue until the night before the meeting. There is a tremendous appetite for our people to gather, and hear straight talk about the crises our nation faces, and we were immensely heartened by the spirit of solidarity and commitment that galvanized this conference.

Three of the originally-scheduled speakers were on hand: Sam Dickson, Louis March, and I. The others had changed their plans, but we had first-rate stand-ins: Attorney Joe Sibley, Canadian activist Paul Fromm, and BNP candidate for Parliament Matthew Tait.

I opened the conference with an account of the unprecedented lengths “anti-racists” went to shut down our meeting. A partial account is available here, but this does not include the pressure put on the Capitol Skyline hotel, the fourth and last hotel to cancel. We had heard that the Capitol Skyline stands firm in the face of people who try to push them around, and we explained in every detail the bullying and the death threats that had led the other hotels to cancel. They said they were happy to get the business. We drew up a contact on Tuesday, February 16—just three days before the conference was to begin—and put out the word that the conference was back on.

Our opponents, mobilized after the pressure they had put on other hotels, struck quickly. They flooded the Capitol Skyline with hostile calls. Someone came onto the property and shoved lurid pamphlets under guest-room doors. A hotel official told us people were pressuring their suppliers to say they would take away their business if the hotel offered us a forum. He added that he had heard that a high-school class was going to come out to protest and leaflet the hotel. Zealots harassed the hotel’s owners, and threatened to march on the hotel during the conference. We have heard that there were death threats.

The Capitol Skyline held out for about 24 hours before it capitulated. It was 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday the 17th, and we again had no venue for a conference that was 47 hours away. So much for freedom of speech and assembly in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. Our supporters refused to stay home despite our cancellation notice, so here we were despite it all.

I then went on to speak on my original conference subject, “What Is at Stake for Our People.” I recalled Sam Francis’s words from the first AR conference in 1994 that got him fired from the Washington Times: “The civilization that we as whites created in Europe and America could not have developed apart from the genetic endowments of the creating people. . . .” I also recalled that I had said the same thing more prosaically: “We have the right to be us, and only we can be us.”

I noted that every one of us in that room had a deep love for that great flowing river which is the genetic and cultural heritage of Europe, and that we all believed that river should and would flow on forever. I pointed out that my generation, which grew up in the 1950s, had inherited a good country but that just in my lifetime, we had put in motion forces that are destroying it. I said that perhaps never in human history had a single generation done so much damage to a country that had not even suffered occupation by invaders or natural disasters such as famine or pestilence. Indeed, my generation has presided over the dismantling of a once-great country in a time of great scientific and economic advance.

I concluded, however, that our movement has made much progress in the 20 years I have been publishing American Renaissance. I spoke of my admiration for the large number of people who now openly support a thoughtful form of racial consciousness, and expressed my faith in the young men and women who will take up the struggle when my generation—the one with so much to answer for—has been put out to pasture.

The next speaker was former Army Ranger priand Harvard Law School graduate, Joe Sibley. He spoke of how he came to understand the racial forces at work in our country, and of the commitment he feels to our people and culture. He outlined provocative strategies for advancing our cause and spreading the message to yet more potential supporters.

The final speaker of the morning was Matthew Tait, who is a parliamentary candidate for the British National Party, running for the Windsor seat. He spoke of the recent very encouraging electoral successes of the party: Richard Barnbrook’s seat on the London Assembly and party leader Nick Griffin’s and Andrew Brons’s great victories in the election for the Euro-parliament.

Mr. Tait discussed in some detail the legal harassment the party has faced over its constitution, which has until now limited membership to “indigenous Caucasians.” There are many organizations in Britain exclusively for blacks or Asians, but whites are not allowed to associate only with themselves. The constitution has now been amended, but it is not yet certain whether the new language will withstand court scrutiny.

Mr. Tait also described the prospects and challenges that face the unprecedentedly large slate of BNP candidates—no fewer than 98—running for Parliament. Chairman Nick Griffin, who is campaigning in the promising constituency of Barking, has the best chances, but it will be an uphill battle. In any case, the elections will be another first-rate opportunity to tell more patriotic Britons that there is a party that still speaks for them.

After a delicious buffet lunch, the conference resumed with a talk by business consultant and former Capitol Hill aide, Louis March. He recounted the great accomplishments of our people and emphasized the tragedy that will befall us if we do not work to save our heritage. He decried the heedless liberalism that is reducing whites to a minority, and issued a resounding call for continued commitment and action.

Long-term Canadian activist Paul Fromm then spoke about the challenges to free speech in his country. He recounted the absurd legalisms used to persecute a host of dissidents, some of whom have been thrown in prison for expressing their views. Mr. Fromm described the astonishing travails and humiliations of several entirely ordinary Canadians who were caught up in legal processes that seem deliberately unfair. He painted a picture of a system of kangaroo commissions that would be unthinkable in the United States. He noted that some of the most egregious laws have been overturned—even if on very narrow grounds—but that obstacles to free speech remain formidable.

As he always does, Sam Dickson, the Atlanta lawyer, closed the conference. His theme this year was “knowing who you are.” He described the ludicrous, spiteful image our opponents have of us and laughed at their alleged ability to read our minds. People at the Southern Poverty Law Center, for example, claim to know that we are “haters” and to understand our motives better than we do ourselves. He gave one hilarious example after another of the “links” by which our presumed wickednesses are proven. He affirmed the nobility and goodness of our cause, and urged us to love the comrades with whom we march in this great struggle.

Mr. Dickson also elaborated a theory of how schizophrenia on race contributes to the rise of white sociopaths to elite positions. He argued that unlike non-whites, who need not strike foolish poses about race—who are free to make healthy demands in the names of their people—prominent whites are so accustomed to lying about the most basic aspects of society that only the most practiced liars ever rise to positions of power. Mr. Dickson’s invariable combination of wit and inspiration was a fitting end to an embattled conference.

Something that the events surrounding this weekend have made clear is that our media elites are utterly untroubled when racial dissidents face the extraordinary levels of harassment that caused so many cancellations. On February 15, we issued a press release [see below] outlining the outrageous behavior of our opponents, and urged several hundred radio talk show hosts to invite me on their programs to discuss what our experience says about the rights to free speech an assembly. We were met with almost total silence. This may change, but for now we have uncovered a total lack of principle. Editors and reporters who would have shrieked with outrage had a liberal or non-white group been treated as we were treated, have shown their true colors: They believe in freedom of speech only for those with whom they agree.

This experience has left us with twice the resolve we had before, and AR will study its options for future conferences. Conferences are central to the mission of American Renaissance, and we will hold them against all odds. The 2010 conference has also brought home to us the passionate commitment of our supporters, who refused to let us cancel this conference and who insisted that we host them for a wonderful weekend of honesty, inspiration, and camaraderie. We look forward to seeing you all next time.

American Renaissance: Death Threats End Biennial Conference of Controversial Group

Press Release, Breitbart, February 15, 2010

OAKTON, Va., Feb. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/—Zealots opposed to a meeting to be held by a Virginia non-profit organization have bullied three hotels into cancelling the event, thus making it impossible for the group to hold its biennial conference. American Renaissance (AR), a monthly magazine that has published on race and immigration for 20 years, had scheduled its ninth meeting for the weekend of Feb. 19 through 21.

Opponents then pressured the hotels—leafleting the premises, flooding switchboards with phone calls, finding the home phone numbers of hotel employees and threatening them with death—thus causing the hotels to cancel their contracts to hold the meeting. The last hotel canceled today. More than 250 people had registered for the conference, and guests and speakers were expected from as far away as Britain and South Africa.

American Renaissance has held conferences since 1994. There have been protesters and crank calls, but conferences have always taken place peacefully and successfully.

AR is a race-realist publication edited by Jared Taylor that takes controversial positions:

* That diversity is a source of conflict and not a strength.

* That people of all racial groups prefer the company of people like themselves.

* That Asians are, on average, more intelligent than whites, who are more intelligent than blacks.

However, AR’s positions are much less important than what this cancellation means for freedom of speech and assembly.

Any controversial group can be kept from holding meetings by fanatics who—through the Internet—decide to gang up on a hotel. If this tactic works against a 501 c (3) educational non-profit like American Renaissance, what is to stop animal rights activists from shutting down a meat-packers’ meeting or environmentalists from shutting down miners or foresters?

Freedom of speech and assembly are guaranteed in the Constitution but those rights will be lost if Americans do not fight back against those who would deny them. As Judge Learned Hand put it, “Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it.”

Congrats on upholding the right to free speech and assembly.

I think it’s great that AmRen had the conference right in the face of the unthinking fools who opposed it. I take it you all are keeping the location a complete secret so you can go there again next year? That’s probably best. I just think it is SO disgusting that leftwingers can cause hotels to turn into such cowards that they don’t support our Bill of Rights….

Good for the courageous followers of American Renaissance and its founder and leader, Jared Taylor! You persevered and triumphed against all odds, overcoming the spiteful attempts of the haters on the Left to silence you, and the total indifference of the mainstream news media. I’ve recently identified myself publicly as a “White Nationalist,” and it makes me proud of the fact.

A couple of suggestions for the 2012 conference: Choose a meeting site far, far from the Washington, D.C. liberal swamp — no use to make it easy for the Leftists to harass or try to stifle you. Just for a suggestion, how about Indianapolis, the capital of my home state? Or Salt Lake City, Utah, would be good; the Mormons tend to be conservative people. They’re used to being persecuted, too, so perhaps they would be more sympathetic to you.

Try to get at least one female featured speaker for your program, and try to attract more women as participants, to frustrate those smarmy media hacks who like to say there were “few women at the conference.” Caucasian women should be just as alarmed by what’s happening to our country as Caucasian men.

Again, kudos to the AmReners for managing to give the “Fico!” sign to their enemies!

Bravo, Mr. Taylor! Well done!

But can you tell us who the spineless radio show hosts were? The ones who would lift not even a finger for free speech?

I work by myself, with the radio for company. I listen to the regular crowd— and I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT SORT OF BEING I AM LISTENING TO!

Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage (Banned in Britain!—surely he had some empathy!) Beck?

If I receive no answer, can I be safe in assuming IT WAS ALL THE ABOVE?

Truly, I would like to know. I will stop listening to the milk-sop neo-cons, the preening blowhards!

First, I want to thank each of you that attended the conference. You refused to be bullied and you refused to surrender your free speech rights. That is the spirit and courage we will need going forward.

Just one minor point. Jared, you called your opponents “anti-racists.” I know you put the term in quotes, but even so, I would not ever refer to them as anti-racist. That is what they want to be called, but that is not what they are.

They are “opponents of free speech.” They are “opponents of individual rights.” They are opponents of whites exercising the rights they hold for themselves. They are anti-white, and they are hypocrites. They are bigoted against whites associating with each other. They are racist. They are hate mongers and smear mongers. I can think of many monikers for your opponents, but anti-racist is definitely not one of them.

But again, I want to thank you guys for putting your thoughts into action.

“That which does not kill us makes us stronger”, “united we stand but divided we fall” and
“where there’s a Will, there’s a way.”
All cliches to some degree, but like stereotypes they contain truth.

Willpower it seems is something that our people are missing of late, unfortunate as there is nothing stronger.
And the White man’s will has collectively taken us to the bottom of the sea, to the top of highest mountain and even had us walk on our nearest planet (natural satellite).

Regarding the 2010 impromptu conference, this is a most heartening report indeed.

It was, indeed, a wonderful experience being there. Because of the adversity, we probably had more fun than we would have had otherwise. So many good comments from the conference.

Sam Dickson made an excellent observation about how other races are “free to make healthy demands in the names of their people.” I would add also the deleterious effect political correctness has on whites who make policy or debate issues in the media. Whites are much more forceful in arguing when they abandon the political correct constraints.

13 — DeepakNPatel wrote at 7:18 PM on February 22:

I congratulate Mr. Taylor for hosting the American Renaissance Conference, despite the odds. As a person who disagrees with some of the views expressed on this website, I nevertheless admit that I have been impressed by some of the original and insightful thinking that I have read here. I have enjoyed reading many of the book reviews, which are some of the best I have read.

When the original list of speakers to this year’s conference was announced, David Yeagley, the brilliant Native American thinker, was on it. He was expected to make history as the first non-white AR Speaker, I was looking forward to reading about his remarks.

I suspect that the federal government must have had some involvement in sabotaging the AR conference, since Jeffrey Imm, Taylor’s nemesis, is a former federal employee. Whites all over the country have risen up in protest, against the incompetence of the first black President. It began with the massive protests by the conservative Tea Party movement, which shocked the liberal establishment with their anger and intensity. The prospect of a white nationalist version of the tea party being organized, to add to the efforts of the tea party, was seen as too dangerous.

I read that anarchists have always been present, protesting previous AR conferences. We all need to ask ourselves a few questions. Why were the anarchists unable to cancel previous AR conferences, such as the 2008, 2006, 2004, and other conferences? How is it that, this time, they were able to co-ordinate with greater success than they ever have before? If calls to hotels could not cause them to cancel their contracts in the other years, what was so special about this year? Is it possible that some federal agents could have put pressure on the hotels, and that the anarchists may not have been the sole influence behind the cancellations?

I would recommend lawsuits against the hotels that cancelled, in order to find out. Those hotels violated written contracts, and have not adequately explained why those contracts were not fulfilled. How the hell could a bunch of anarchists have found out who the suppliers to the Capitol Skyline Hotel were? I suspect that there could have been some hidden force working with the anarchists.

But, is there going to be another conference (as it was originally scheduled) this year?

15 — Fritz wrote at 7:21 PM on February 22:

I’ve drifted away from AR of late, not because of any change regarding my thoughts and feelings regarding AR or the issues of race, just focused on other things. Just prior to revisting AR’s webpage, I’d been thinking about the conference and feeling some regret that I hadn’t gone. To hear now what happened, I am once again fired up for our cause. As soon as my next pension check comes, I will be renewing my subscription and ordering video of the 2008 conference. Maybe AR should consider finding some private property to hold the 2012 conference so they can’t get shut down so easily. Perhaps scheduling in a warmer climate in a warmer season might help too. Driving across several states in February can be a dicey proposion.

16 — whiteman wrote at 7:28 PM on February 22:

Point number two - People of all racial groups prefer the company of people like themselves - seems a naked fallacy. In America at this time, everyone acts in a way subservient to people of color. Shows the power of culture. Many of the vocal posts we make, our arguments against the ‘diversity’ crowd, the very passion within them shows that we of all people do not entirely believe the premise of ‘genetics means everything’.

But if it is true, for some this would mean the doctrine ‘people prefer people like themselves’, could almost seem like an argument in favor of team-diversity and in favor of all the efforts at social engineering and the social sanctions aimed only ever at whites.

Might people, instead, see themselves as an individual, but look on others and judge them by their appearance and by what group they belong to?

I sympathize with your plight, and generally share your views. However, I am not only a race realist, but a political and media realist. You will not win your battles, because American life has marginalized those whites who openly resist their own dispossession.

Everything you stand for has already been eruditely set forth by “Wilmot Robertson” (nom de plume) in _The Dispossessed Majority_, published in the 1970s, which was shunned by mainstream publishers. The intervening three-plus decades have only intensified all the negative trends.

You can be as on target as can be, and yet the mainstream is afraid to say so.

The only way this may change is through painful societal upheaval.

Speaking as a dues-paying member of AmRen, I hope that JT et al learn a few things from this tragedy. First, as indicated by other posters, stop trying to beard the lion in its den. There is plenty of white-friendly territory in fly-over country. Next time, confer there. Make solid arrangements well in advance. Provide maximum security, including countervailing violence, because the Libs, Socialisti, and Reds will be out in force. And finally, expect and welcome a RUMBLE. This is what we on the hard Right, including WNs, absolutely NEED. Not just a few days of hot air exchanged by well-intentioned intellectuals. Do you get it? In politics as, say, in Hollywood, there is no such thing as “bad” publicity; there is only publicity. We need it, and it’s all good.

However, I would remind you that Imm and his Red Guard are taking a victory lap right now and they will be back, emboldened. We need to prepare for their next infestation. Mr. Patel has raised some important issues above. Why did they succeed this time and not previously? What about the contracts the hotels signed? What of the “death threats” reported earlier? Were these recorded? I’m not a lawyer but making death threats to shut down a peaceful gathering sounds like a felony to me. I would pursue all legal options, and deploy our advantages as defenders of freedom of speech and freedom of assembly vigorously. I know this doesn’t come cheaply: If you need money ask for it. We must make sure Imm’s “victory” is not without cost to them.

I think the far left is feeling its oats simply because Obama is in power. Since they think the U.S. Attorneys, all Obama-appointed, won’t prosecute them, they can do whatever they want. Since a lot of them are in areas where liberals have run everything for years, they think they can get away with what they want in those places.

And why wouldn’t they think that? Because they can. And they will keep on doing it, until, as my grandfather once said, the [expletive] doesn’t stop until someone does what it takes to stop it.

As for your Federal agents theory, I won’t discount it, but since a Democrat is in the White House, if Federal agents are up to no good, it’s dressing up in funny right-wing uniforms and either committing or provoking crimes, mainly to help the ADL and SPLC raise money. A lot of that happens when Republicans are in power, too, unfortunately. It hasn’t been since the 1960s that similar tactics were used by a relatively moderate Democrat President (LBJ) and his FBI against extremists on his own side of the aisle, the old COINTELPRO scandals.

If you want to fine a genie behind the curtains of what the goonies (unsuccessfully) tried to do to AR, it will be one or more tenured professors.

Think about the sentence above, because it is exactly the strategy of those who want to destroy white America.

””“Fascism will come to America disguised as anti-fascism.”“”

Let’s look at some of the words that are used by the so called anti-fascists.
Racist is the most obvious one, multiculturalism another, feminism, homophobes, conspirators, truthers, etc. etc.

They might look like mere words, but these word have been loaded by the MAIN STREAM MEDIA to have secondary meanings. People have been conditioned by the MSM to understand that these words present an accusation.

These words are “buzz words” whose intention it is to silence any opposing view. When these words are levelled at someone, that person is immediately silenced, or they will stand accused of FASCISM.

But what about freedom of speech you might ask?
The design of these words are specifically to suppress freedom of speech.

This is true fascism.

””“Thus fascism will come to America disguised as anti-fascism.”“
Those who seek the destruction of America hide behind the cloak of the media. They use this powerful tool to program people to associate certain words with certain personality traits. Thus the mere use of a “buzz word” is like pointing a gun at someone, because it has all this other pre-loaded negative association.

But let’s look closer at the anti-fascist movement. It is the liberal movement. The goal of the liberal movement worldwide is to promote multiculturalism and egalitarianism. Essentially their core message is that all men are equals. That we should strive for a classless, sexless society where every man gives according to his ability and receives according to his needs.

But this is the Marxist proletariat.
So it becomes clear that Liberalism is defined Marxism and that although everyone thought that Marxism died along with the USSR, it obviously didn’t.

The Marxists saw that a strategy of direct military confrontation with the USA will never work. The Marxists after all are master strategists, which is expressed through their love of chess.

They realized that direct military confrontation with the USA is futile, thus they initiated plan “B” which entailed the fall of the Berlin wall.

Marxism emerged after this event as refined Liberalism which is more acceptable to a lot of propagandised people.

This is why the liberal movement claims to be anti-fascist, but through their actions of denial of certain freedoms, one can see whom the true fascists are.

According to One People’s Project, the conference was held at Bertuccis restaurant with about 40 attendees. I suppose the restaurant’s owners will now be boycotted by the “commies” as they refer to themselves in this post.

Next time, why don’t you have the conference here in South Africa. You will find the facilities first class. You will be received with great enthusiasm, and, with the exchange rate favouring the dollar, Americans can have a fairly cheap overseas holiday over here. And one thing I can guarantee: Nobody and nothing will prevent the conference from taking place. White South Africans are outnumbered, but when we dig in our heels, the rest steer clear of us.

None of these points actually advocate a white position. None of them even open the door for the idea of a white consciousness or of white advocacy. Or even a call for ‘white survival’. I realize it might be too controversial to advocate for something like an end to affirmative action, for non-whites, or preferences for them, or for an end to racial special interest groups (or for the existence of white ones).

Is it safe to reveal the location of the conference? I’d like to personally thank whatever venue (?) agreed to host AmRen in the face of open hostility and death threats against its employees.

You must have felt as the rebel colonists did while planning to break away from mother England—constantly having to watch their backs, wondering if they’d been infiltrated, looking at one another imagining the other as a spy, knowing if they were caught, they would be hanged, their families left destitute (‘hanging’ at the moment for us involves loss of job and career, smearing of one’s reputation making him unemployable, demonization and financial ruination—the real hanging will come in the future if the PC reign of terror is not stopped).

Ultimately, the colonists didn’t back down! They did what they knew was right and risked everything they had, including their own loved ones, to accomplish what they believed in.

Of course, their stories have been relegated to the memory hole, the current wisdom in high school texts that the United States was formed as a proposition nation, the Constitution based on the tenants of the Iroquois nation (because the Founding Fathers, as slave holders, were too stupid and evil to have come up with anything on their own), that America is a nation of immigrants and it is immigrants and blacks (not colonists, not the Constitution or Bill of Rights) that built this nation, created its laws, and are responsible for its incredible prosperity. That America formed on its own despite being infested by evil, slave-holding Whites and that everything that Whites have, wealth and land, was stolen from non-Whites who are the rightful owners.

And, if left up to obama’s handlers, this wealth and land will be returned to the non-Whites that developed it, should own it, while Whites are ethnically cleansed from American soil

The old Soviet Union finally collapsed in on itself as the pack of lies that it was built on could not withstand the test of time—unfortunately, 63 million innocent souls were destroyed in the process of this evil experiment.

We are on the same path, a PC reign of terror built upon the lies of egaltarianism, multiculturalism and unfettered non-White immigration—and woe be to any White that deigns to complain about his replacement by a Third World welfare parasite!

If we don’t turn around now, and some thing it is way too late, we will be beholden to an Evil Empire, lorded over by non-Whites who wish us dead—and they will have the political muscle to do it.

If you don’t believe me, come to California and learn about its political landscape.

I live in the DC metro area, attended the 2008 conference, and was an early registrant for this year’s one. When it was first cancelled at the beginning of last week, I emailed Jared and Stephen with my support and condolences, and told them to keep my conference registration money as a donation. And when the Capitol Skyline location was found and the conference was thought to be back on again, I emailed as requested to confirm that I would be there. Given these gestures, I am left with a some resentment at not hearing about this event until after it was held. I understand it was a chaotic situation, with much to do on the fly and little time to ponder decisions, and perhaps there was also an understandable concern about potential infiltrators and saboteurs. I think an email to conference registrants, particularly those who had kept in touch over the previous days, saying that there might be less formal opportunities to meet over the weekend, would have been the right thing to do. But keep my money anyway. You’re doing important work. I spent Saturday reading the current issue, which as usual is excellent.

The local police might actually do something about protester behavior in the South as well.

The other option is to hold the conference speakers at a more secure venue such as a hall (perhaps not disclosed until right before the first day of speakers) and have everyone stay in various hotels nearby under their own names.

How did “One People’s Project” get a hold of these photos at Bertucci’s shown on its website? One of their number must have been among the small group of people at this year’s conference.

Their superior ability to follow directions clearly laid out for them is not the same thing as being “more intelligent.”

Dear Mr. Webster,

I just read your below missive in a motel room in Front Royal after driving 12 hours to attend the AR Conference, which was supposed to begin tomorrow. As I live in a rural area of Middle Tennessee, I use dial up internet service because at my residence I do not have access to any of the high speed options. Consequently, I usually check my e-mail on my laptop at some location where high speed service is available. Therefore, as I had a long drive ahead of me this morning, I did not check my e-mail before I left but instead waited until I arrived at the motel about an hour ago and woefully discovered from reading your message, which arrived in my e-mail yesterday, that once more, as happens all too frequently in our so called republic nowadays, the repression of speech that is contrary to the left wing Weltanshauung was, alas, successful.

In this matter I bear no resentment whatsoever towards the staff of AR who I perceive did all that could be done concerning this woeful situation in which they were embroiled. After just now consuming a few drinks of Virginia Gentleman, which I purchased immediately upon crossing the Virginia state line in order to support the only remaining family owned distillery in the nation, I have regained my equanimity and am presently inclined to regard my present predicament as evidence of Chekov’s pronouncement, “Life is not tragedy; it is farce.”
As regards the arrantly craven conduct of all the executives of the lodging chains who, upon the mere threats of violence from the speech Nazis, reneged on their contracts to host the AR convention, their abhorrent cowardice exemplifies the famous adage of Willi Schlamm, one of National Review’s founders, “The trouble with socialism is socialism. The trouble with capitalism is capitalists.”

To better times in the future,
Tom Ladd

I know that things were most hectic with your organization, trying to salvage something from the debacle caused by the cowardice of the hotels and the thuggish conduct of our opponents; but I wish I could have been informed on Friday morning (I did check my e-mail before I departed Front Royal) of the alternate plan. I definitely would have attended.

Don’t worry there is no evidence of ‘a spy’ from these photo’s.
This ‘One peoples project’ blog simply lifted these photo’s from a antendee’s own personal, Sony Powershot SD1000 camera shots. They left all of the original .jpegs file’s info intact (shows how amatuer they are).
These photo’s, that I’m sure were innocently placed on a forum mentioned in the file’s name “whitenewsnow” by a forthright and regular contributor, who authors their own right wing blog, who I am certain would have no connection to these nuts, rest assured.
Presenting ‘happy snaps’ as official photographs is certainly a misrepresentation.

………………………………….

I must strongly disagree. Countervailing violence? No, we DON’T need it! It is NOT good! Reading such bad advice as this upsets me. Are these words written by merely an incredibly naive person, or by an agent provocateur?

(Nor, by the way, did the event turn out to be a “tragedy”, but a triumph over adversity and obstruction.)

In the event of any violence (which is no doubt exactly what they would delight in provoking), if any Bolshevik goon got so much as scratched, there would be arrests made, charges pressed, and then well funded lawsuits. For every charge made (by Amren) there would be an elaborately contrived countercharge. Amren could be bankrupted and ruined … exactly what they would love to accomplish. Be realistic! Without waiting to find out, we know whose side the police and government would be on. And could Amren win in the courts of the DC area, given the population thereabouts?…(heavily Hispanic and Moslem around Herndon). There would be allegations and photographs not of a Bolshevik thug (or “peace-loving” anarchist) hitting YOU, but of you hitting HIM back. Carefully selected photographs can present very slanted evidence. The international media — otherwise so completely indifferent to the conference — would screech and bleat about violent racist thugs attacking peaceful “human rights” demonstrators who were supporting Peace, Justice, and Freedom. Organizations and governments around the world would demand that something be done to punish these evil racist haters.

To this day, we still read about brownshirt goons attacking peaceful Marxists and university students in the 1930s,, whereas it was precisely the other way around, and those brownshirts were organized to DEFEND their rallies against disruption by such attacks when it became apparent that the police would not protect them. (How did those “peaceful protesters” just happen to be at the site of NSDAP rallies in the first place?) These were the same tactics that the Bolshies used (and successfully) to wreck the meetings and silence the speeches of Sir Oswald Moseley in Britain. He was followed around England by busloads of “Eastern European” thugs who violently attacked and disrupted his meetings everywhere he went.

I could add too that a good number of those attending were aged over 50 or more; there were also children and even tiny babies! (I know because I was there.) Would you expect these people to get involved in a vicious fracas? (Naturally, these would never be shown in media pictures.) The people who attend Amren meetings are not street fighters … though the media would like to portray them that way. We are not Hell’s Angels.

C’mon! Get real and stop the daydreaming. You are asking Amren to fall right into their trap. Violence is not the way. At least, it’s not Amren’s way.

For one thing, the mean average of ‘east’ asians is merely five points above the heterogeneous White American average as a whole, with Whites having a greater standard deviation toward the higher IQ ranges. This of course is always left out. Additionally, there are White ethnic groups who score well above the ‘100’ average — again this is often left out as well.

The ‘Asian’ angle is more a motivation of protective cover on the part of those espousing it than a statement of fact — you know, the “I/we are not ‘biased’ cause we think the Orientals are ‘smarter” — wink wink, nod nod… to try to appear more ‘impartial’ and ‘reasonable’ and not ‘extreme,’ etc. And, of course, “we are so ‘fair-minded” (and why are Whites - and Whites only - so hung up on ‘fairness’, especially when there is no such thing in nature?).

In other words, they are essentially trying to say they aren’t that awful Trotskyite word “racist”.

Geesh.

It’s possible that what you are saying is absolutely true. But if true, isn’t then the real problem the fact that no one cares if you say ‘asians are smarter than whites’? I think it shows that everyone is obsessed with only blacks, and also it shows that you have to say something like, ‘i don’t like ‘red-necks’ or ‘asians are even smarter than whites’ in you want to ‘prove’ that you are not racist.

Anon 11:26,

Yes, yes indeed the problem in multi-kult America certainly is ‘obsession’ with Blacks and Mestizos (Browns), and little to nothing to do with Asians.

As a result, the ‘smart Asians’ quip from the ‘race realists’ usually falls on deaf ears toward the intended recipients they seek to ameliorate (the general public) — and all to often is picked up (sometimes with a vengence) by the very people spouting this line, IE - high intelligence, race realist White men… who sometimes as a result of ‘falling for their own propaganda’, take this as a signal of tacit approval to mix, and miscegenate, with “east” Asian women.

BTW, this is not an attack on Asians on my part, since I like and respect much about them - both personally and culturally. I merely wish to stop seeing so many RR and HBD types think that they cannot openly stick up for White folks — their own People — again lest they be worried being called that ‘awful’ Trotskyite term “racist”.
