AOC: People ‘Too Scared’ to Go to Hospital Due to Trump’s ‘Xenophobic COVID Response’

Jessica Chasmar, The Washington Times, April 13, 2020

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed in a series of tweets that some people are “too scared” to go to the hospital or continue doing their jobs because of President Trump’s “xenophobic” response to the coronavirus pandemic.

“COVID deaths are disproportionately spiking in Black + Brown communities,” she tweeted April 3. “Why? Because the chronic toll of redlining, environmental racism, wealth gap, etc. ARE underlying health conditions. Inequality is a comorbidity. COVID relief should be drafted with a lens of reparations.”
