Rep. Gene Alday Claims He’s Not Racist, Despite His Comments

Courtney Ann Jackson, WLOX (Jackson), February 16, 2015

A state lawmaker is under the microscope after making racially charged comments. Representative Gene Alday was trying to defend himself Monday.

{snip}

“I come from a town where all the blacks are getting food stamps and what I call ‘welfare crazy checks.’ They don’t work,” Alday said to the paper.

And speaking of an emergency room visit, he was quoted as saying, “I liked to died. I laid in there for hours because they (blacks) were in there being treated for gunshots.”

We called Rep. Alday to see what he would now say about the quotes. He didn’t deny making the comments. Yet, he seemed offended by the accusations being thrown his way.

“I am definitely not a racist, at all,” Alday argued. “Because, I mean, I get along with everybody. And I’ve spent a lot of time helping people.”

Alday seemed more concerned with clearing his name than what could happen to his political future.

“If they want me to quit or resign I will,” said Alday. “That’s not a problem with that. I didn’t say anything wrong. The interview, he just took me out of context. He asked for one thing and started asking another thing.”

{snip}

Alday said he plans to apologize to the House and try to plead his case that he didn’t do anything wrong.

The downfall of these guys is defending themselves. They should just say, [yeah, I’m a racist, what about it]?

    • Jesse_from_Sweden

Heh, the best answer would probably be “Everything I say gets taken out of context, including this.

  • NoMosqueHere

He should just say he’s a realist and made the comments based on his observations; and he should demand a real dialogue about race. I hate whites who get all apologetic as soon as some jerk starts making accusations of racism.

  • Gene Alday, guilty of first degree noticing.

    • Speedy Steve

It took him long enough to notice that ventilated Africans are clogging up our hospitals.

If you make racially charged comments about whites or their white societies, they don’t put you under a microscope. The examine what you’ve a Hubble-strength telescope. They make the speaker, if he is not White, a media personality. If they are White, something along the lines of diversity consultant or university president seems along the line.

What a wuss! He really shouldn’t have bothered saying that he’s not a racist while telling that obvious truth. It makes no sense to do that because no matter what, the PC anti-White diversity-loving elite will still see it as racist.

If you’re going to tell the politically incorrect truth, just say it and be done with it. Whether or not you say you’re not a racist, it really makes no difference either way. You’ll still be labeled as a racist by our enemies and not only will they label you as a racist (a term which is now as threatening as a ladybug), you also show yourself to be a spineless coward.

The truth is no defense. Backpedaling only makes it worse. The folks in charge have a great grand ol’ knee slappin’ time with this type of thing.

    • Whitetrashgang

And soap too, OMG.How about a cell phone made of soap at best.

      • Ringo Lennon

They all have iPhones for Christ’s sake.

        • John Smith

They on the Obama Phone plan?

      • John Smith

Which is why they live in filth back in Africa, even when all they need for soap is wood ash, fat and a kettle.

    • Katherine McChesney

      #BlackLiesMatter.

      • NoMosqueHere

        That’s a good one.

  • Luca

He should have responded: “Is anything I said untrue?”…… “Next”

  • MekongDelta69

Once again (as I mentioned under the Sacchi article below on AmRen), when will cowed White people STOP saying, “I’m not racist, but…”

  • dd121

Alday doesn’t understand, “racism” is anything a liberal says it is. Engage grovel mode.

    • Alexandra1973

I for one do not wish to play their little game, with their ever-changing rules.

  • Speedy Steve

He asked for one thing and started asking another thing.

OK Amrenners, it’s G.K Chesterton time: “There are two kinds of rebellion. The first is one in which the slave demands something that the tyrant has got. The second is one in which he demands something that the tyrant has not got.”

“There are only two kinds of ballads. There are sad ballads about broken hearts and cheerful ballads about broken heads.”

  • shawnmer

There should be the simplest of standards applied to forcing resignations due to “offensive” comments. Three words: “Is. It. True??”

Oh, it IS true? Then thanks for your input, folks. If the man’s constituents have no problem with it, he’s not going anywhere.

  • WR_the_realist

Unfortunately Gene Alday looks like he’s going to grovel for forgiveness. That’s like blood before sharks.

    • John Smith

Yeah, those who’d support what you said think you’re now a coward and blacks and liberals hate you already, almost no matter what you said or could say in apology.

Rep. Gene Alday Claims He’s Not Racist, Despite His Comments

So what if the dude is racist? Everybody’s allowed to be a racist except white people? There will come a time when other whites will agree with this guy in the open. As they should.

  • antiquesunlight

Good ol’ John Rocker. Forgot about that guy. He was pretty cool. “The worst part about New York is all the foreigners,” or something like that.

    • John Smith

Single moms, too, IIRC. The leftist pro-sports establishment sure killed his career.

  • John Smith

    Truth is so racist.

    • texasoysterman

Troof beez rayciss, I think you meant to say.

      • John Smith

        Werd, Dawg.

  • Fr. John+

Ah, yes. One law for me, and another for thee….

Blacks can call each other the ‘n’ word, but Whites can’t even NOTICE that blacks exist!
The Lunatics are running the asylum… for a second term!

  • “We called Rep. Alday to see what he would now say about the quotes.” The proper response?

“Would you like to have a discussion about my comments? Lets do it on live tv, just so we can be sure i’m not taken out of context”

Oh goodness… the chance to fry an evil rrrrayciss! Representative live on tv? How could any news anchor possibly resist!

And then once youre sitting there across from the table from this liberal nincompoop reporter who has no clue what he’s gotten himself into, you share some statistics with the world.

“Is it true that you said; “I come from a town where all the blacks are getting food stamps and what I call ‘welfare crazy checks.’ They don’t work,”?

“Well, you know what, I sure did. What i didnt have on hand at the time were the towns actual statistics on who is collecting food stamps and ‘welfare crazy checks’ but I’ve gone ahead and brought them with me, and by gosh, it looks like 80% of the welfare recipients are black! So I suppose that was an accurate thing for me to say, now wasn’t it?”

    “Uhh… err… well… clearly the legacy of da’ slavery is… err…”

“Well funny you should mention that, i happened to also bring along this census data from …”

We need someone in these positions to not just refuse to apologize and grovel, but take advantage of these situations, treat them as the opportunities they are to expose the truth.
