Harry Reid: GOP Poisoning Immigration Reform for Border Security

Awr Hawkins, Breitbart, June 12, 2013

On June 11, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) warned that a Republican amendment to strengthen border security is actually a “poison pill” for the immigration reform bill.

The amendment, sponsored by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), “would require the government to meet border enforcement goals before granting full legal status for the nation’s estimated 11 million” illegal immigrants.

Cornyn’s amendment stipulates that legal status for these immigrants could not be granted “until the government [has] 100 percent awareness of border activity and [is] able to intercept at least 98 percent of illegal crossings.” It would also require “a biometric system for tracking all visa holders and [the establishment of] an E-verify employee check system as preconditions.”

Reid says these things are simply “unacceptable.”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) says Cornyn’s amendment is a must: “It will put us in a position where we can look the American people in the face and say were are going to secure the border.”

Harry Reid is a disgusting miscegenationist who claims to be a Mormon. Mormons I’ve talked to call him a Jack Mormon (that’s an insult and means a person who is phony).

    • jackryanvb

Reid has a Converso wife. Their immigration politics, foreign policy politics are the same as Vegas casino owners Mr. And Mrs. Sheldon Adelson, the money man behind Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney.

  • Good. Keep the partisan squabbling going. The more there is, the less likely it will be that any big immigration bill actually passes.

  • Oil Can Harry

Dirty Harry Reid is a poison pill for our (dying) constitutional republic.

    • evilsandmich

A ‘poison pill’ for something that people in more sane nations don’t even think to bring up for debate.

  • dd121

All this talk of immigration reform is just so much bs. Obama is going to issue executive decrees and administer the border as he sees fit. Elections and the rule of law don’t count anymore with the left’s simple majority of tax takers instead of Republican tax payers.

So he arrived in DC broke and is now worth 41 million? Dingy did it honestly, right?

      • In one of the debate he had with Sharron Angle, she asked him point blank how he got so rich. He first had the deer in the headlights look, and then cooked up some lame excuse about investing well. They say that behind every great fortune is a great crime. That might not literally be true, but you don’t go from just the shirt on your back in 1982 to seven figures in 2013 on 31 years of House and Senate salaries.

Reid’s home state of nevada employs a rather large population of foreigners in the gaming industry that is a big contributor to its economy. So, it would seem, pandering for votes and showing the money.

Harry, you’re unacceptable. Won’t someone take the Senator to the home. It’s long past due.

“Harry Reid: GOP Poisoning Immigration Reform for Border Security”
Without border security there is no such thing as “immigration reform.”
Only a fool would think otherwise.

    • The__Bobster

Only a fool would think we need anything but an enforcement-only bill. Why are we dickering over E-Verify? We could enact it tomorrow. It should not be a bargaining chip to be used in exchange for our displacement?

I don’t much like Republicans these days, but it looks like they are the only barrier to a total Democrat-inspired demographic disaster. Two cheers for Cornyn and one cheer for McConnell. I’ll save my three cheers for the guy who says no amnesty and deport em all.

Poison pill? That’s the only way the boy idiot Rubio can make the bill palatable to conservatives.

As for myself, I’d never voted for any bill with “comprehensive” or “reform” in its name. This bill has BOTH of those words in its name.

On the radio today some congresswoman was being interviewed about the amnesty bill.

She said that if the House passes the amnesty bill with enforcement in it, congress will just take out the enforcement and pass the rest of it.

What we need is a bill by itself that closes the borders and deports all illegals.

I’m sure Mexico would not allow the construction of such a barrier, and we’ve been dancing to Mexico’s tune for a long time now. Many countries have built fences to protect their citizens, but for some reason the US is supposed to take in the dregs of every nation in the world and be happy to do it. Both parties are at fault and both have members who want only to add to their voter’s list and care nothing for the people who put them where they are. Let’s be sure they don’t stay by voting every amesty-loving traitor out the next time around.

  • OT slightly:

When Rand Paul promised to find a place for them, I guess this is what he meant, screaming and agitating in front of Kris Kobach’s house. When he (Kobach) runs for President, he should use this in a media buy. Your enemies sometimes make a better case for you just by being who they are and doing what comes naturally to them than you can make for yourself.

    • mobilebay

Glad to see somene else think Kris Kobach would make an exellent President. Hope he’ll run. His cabinet could include Rep. Steve King, and Rep. Jeff Sessions, and how about Sheriff Joe for head of Homeland Security? And despite the horrified exclamations of “We can’t deport 11 million illegal aliens,” I’d vote to do just that in a New York minute.

      • Non Humans

Why can’t we deport “11 Million” (30+million) illegals? What in hell could stop us. The right checks at the right places (Hospitals, Banks,Check Cashing Stores, Grocery Stores, etc) would weed them out in your New York Minute

  • mobilebay

So In other words,Sen.Reid, protecting our county from foreign invasion is unacceptable to you?

  • mobilebay

I’m with you George. While I’m a senior citizen on a limited income, I do call and fax often. I belong to a couple of the organizations you mention and give them lots of credit for making it possible for us to hold our sorry “politicians” feet to the fire.

With the death of Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid is now the worst US Senator. Los Vegas NV is now a power center of the anti White, Babylonian “tribe”. Open borders, Neo Con, union breaking, sleazy Casino owner Sheldon Adelson is based in Vegas. The hard core pornograpgy, “adult entertainment” industry is an LA/Vegas axis. It’s a shame as Los Vegas was founded bt White Mormon Latter Day Saints, lots of White LDS still live there, it’s just down the road from Utah. I do a lot of things with nice, White Latter Day Saints. They have big families, that’s good. Other things, not so good. LDS were once persecuted by other White Americans for being different. Now they don’t like to make waves.

Harry Reid has a bad Converso wife, and he spends all his time working on Federal Hate Crimes/thought crimes legislation aimed exclusively at us – straight White Americans.

Yeah Harry Reed, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Rand Paul – worst White renegade traitors in the US Senate. Please pray, invoke curses on them and their families. Maybe some Muslim extremists will overstay their student visas and do something nasty in Vegas at Sheldon Adelson’s casino hosting a Harry Reed, Mitt Romney, mass amnesty event.

A lot of brutal non White Arabs/Muslims don’t understand that they are a PC minority victim group along with Blacks, Hispanics, transgender people. Bobby Kennedy learned the hard way it can be fatal to pander to diverse, non White groups.

    What a country.

    • evilsandmich

I think that I’d put Chuckie Schumer up against Reid as the worst, but to each his own.

      • Jackryanvb

Yeah, Schumer is terrible. But it’s not like he is a White guy gone traitor. Schumer is straight out of Central casting as the slimey New Yawk… (Not supposed to name this group)

  • jackryanvb

No, he was elected. He has Vegas White union support. Our people will over look anti White, cultural Marxism if they back unions. White auto workers in Michigan backed Obama.

Another reason to get out of Libertarian, economic conservatism. We need to get back to George Wallace populism, Nixon Southern strategy, Lee Atwater before he got soft and found “Jeeeesus”, Reagan Democrats, Pat Buchanan, Archie Bunker.

$&[email protected] libertarianism, Ron Paul and Rand Paul.

Harry Reid stole the last election and is going around and posing as leader of the Senate and destroying this third most populous nation on earth by alien dumping.

This is no “immigration reform”; this amnesty bill also includes doubling the number of legal green cards from 1 million to 2 million per year. This a war on America. America will become a 3rd world country. Many of these 3rd world aliens will start killing and attacking whites, including family members of Harry Reid.

The best thing to do is to ban immigration. It is insane that this 3rd most populous nation on earth is increasing immigration. The other 2 top nations in population, China and India, do not give any immigration at all.
We have the most corrupt and evil govt. in the world, as their alienistic war on their own country proves.
