Immigration Bill Contains “Marcophones”

Matthew Boyle, Breitbart, April 17, 2013

The 844-page immigration reform bill the bipartisan “Gang of Eight” dropped in the dead of night contains a lucrative handout that would give taxpayer-funded free cell phones to some people who live or work near the U.S. border with Mexico.

Pages 43 and 44 of the bill detail what one conservative blogger, Javier Manjarres of Shark Tank, has already described as the “ObamaPhone” from Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). That section reads:

(1) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary, in consultation with the governors of the States in the South- west Border region, shall establish a 2-year grant program, to be administered by the Secretary, to im- prove emergency communications in the Southwest Border region.
(2) ELIGIBILITY FOR GRANTS.—An individual is eligible to receive a grant under this subsection if the individual demonstrates that he or she—
(A) regularly resides or works in the Southwest Border region;

(B) is at greater risk of border violence due to the lack of cellular service at his or her residence or business and his or her proximity to the Southern border. (3) USE OF GRANTS.—Grants awarded under
this subsection may be used to purchase satellite telephone communications systems and service that—
(A) can provide access to 9–1–1 service;
(B) are equipped with global positioning systems.
(4) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.— There is authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to carry out the grant program established under this subsection.

As I stated yesterday, you’ll be amazed at all the outrageous garbage the traitors have stuffed into this 844-page bill. And none of it will be good for us.

I wonder if Carlos Slim is getting a kickback from this legislation.

    • So CAL Snowman

Hey now, how can we possibly know what’s in this bad boy if we don’t pass it?

      • Secret Tribunal

Reading the Amnesty Bill and telling Whites what’s in it has been deemed a Hate Crime. Just like the Talmud, you aren’t allowed to know, Whitey.

    • A hint to that will be if Engelman’s favorite news source yells day in and day out for the Gang Bangers of Eight bill to be passed and passed now. Cell phones + Mexico = Carlos Slim.

Likewise, when GATT was passed in 1994, the WaPo was at the front of the bandwagon. Turns out the massive bill had some rhinestone goodie for the parent company of the WaPo.

    • Beetlejuice

So The GANG of 8 will pass the bill in the middle of the night before people realize what’s really in it.

      It worked for Obamacare.

If you are located in an area without cellphone service due to remoteness and not a designated quiet zone for RF restriction, then you are too far away for a speedy 911 response via satellite even if your position is known. Seems the grant would be better spent for a personal protective device that goes “bang” when needed.

Free cell phones, just like integration, civil rights, affirmative action, and fundamental transformation, and amnesty is indeed a human right, because the White community has to pay for them and we lose more White privilege in the process, because our money builds the Diversity community while leaving us poorer, which is the entire purpose of the FedGov today.

Anything that hurts White privilege is a human right for non whites.

    • Anon12

I am amazed that the average White person out there hasn’t figured this out yet? Are they that flawed and dense in the head?

Also they have given their own resources (wealth and nation) to the nonwhites instead of leaving it to their own progeny as it was meant to be from the founding of this White nation. It is OUR offspring that has the birthright and it belongs to no other. How have they been so dumbed down and why don’t they READ the Constitution (it wasn’t speaking to the blacks, mexicans, chinese, etc. etc..) and read the writings of our Founders? They could also read the Mayflower Compact and about the 13 Colonies and free WHITE men.

      • Secret Tribunal

The average White person is watching and talking about sports and the Kardashians.

  • Sattelitte phones are expensive:

Be cheaper to put cell receivers on the border fence …. couch cough cough.

    • Michael_C_Scott

Now you’re being funny. Cell receivers near the border would quickly be dismantled for sale as scrap.

      • LOL. Yep you are right, they’d contain some copper.
The lead and other metals can just drain into the Rio Grande.

  • Urban Teacher

I assume the cell phones will allow the users to be tracked. That may be an important reason for them.

    • Tracked by satellites, not triangulated by cell towers. Spot on accuracy.

  • White privilege

Whites got millions of acres of free land from the government after they exterminated the native americans. The hispanics are only getting cell phones. Whites should shut up about handouts and re-examine “white privilege”.

    • Andy

Whites did not exterminate the Indians. 95% of the drop in population was due to disease (90%) or intermarriage (5%). There were wars, and often massacres on both sides. Fake genocide accusations lessen the impact that learning about real genocides has. Whites moving to the Americas did no more than native American tribes were regularly doing to each other, like Africans, Asians, Australians, and the Europeans back home. They moved into each other’s land. Sometimes they fought about it. Eventually one group dominated or the groups mixed together. Surely you don’t fault the modern Bantus for the low numbers of Khoisan, or think that Arabs have no right to North Africa, or the Chinese to western China?

    • Anon12

Hey, troll, the indians NEVER owned any land nor this country so what you blabbing about.

They roamed around scalping each other and destroying the place they were in at the time then went on to another place to strip that piece of land and on and on and on… Get your facts straight.

  • Anon12

Who cares about Marco…he is not White and hates us as much as the rest of his ilk do..

  • Bobby

Any resemblence the U.S. has to how a real nation operates, that has citizens and cares about those citizens ,is purely coincidental.

Brilliant. I admire your ability to be sparse with words yet speak the truth.

“This obviously has nothing to with illegal immigrants,” Brian Rogers, spokesman for Sen. John McCain told Breitbart News. “[it] is instead aimed at helping the ranchers along the border protect themselves and their property.”

“This issue was raised in 2010 after a respected rancher named Rob Krentz was shot and killed on his land in Cochise County, Arizona,” Rogers continued. “Due to the lack of cell/GPS coverage in the area, he was unable to call for help and law enforcement was unable to locate him for 13 hours, by which time he was dead. If this program had been in place and Rob Krentz had a satellite phone, the outcome might have been different.”

Sen. Marco Rubio’s office said the provision is intended to “give rural residents and business owners near the Mexican border access to cell service and phones so they can quickly report border violence to the police and the Department of Homeland Security.”

now, I guess everyone just has to decide who to believe…..either way, its more fluff
stop spending taxpayer money, and close the borders, permanently, until further notice,
no more immigration until we get our collective ship together….

  • QuinnTheEskimo9

Marco Rubio is interested in giving benefits to aliens who are in our country illegally.
He’s not into defending Americans, he’s all about his own people.

From an article by Roy Beck, NumbersUSA:

“During the three months that the Gang of Eight was meeting with every special interest in town, it refused to meet with representatives of the law enforcement who know how current immigration laws are actually handled.

It’s a little hard to trust Sen. Rubio’s assurance to the Tea Party groups today that ‘I will not relent from the ongoing fight to ensure the American people’s voices are heard before any votes are cast’

We are not aware that he and the Gang listened to any American voices during the drafting process, other than those desiring more immigration and foreign labor.”

  • me

Will these new cell phones include Spanish-speaking services for the new ‘privilaged minorities’? Oh, yeah….we already have that in place! Press 1 for English, gringo!

  • evilsandmich

So the border is so violent that we need to give away free sat-phones, but the proposed solution is to import more people who live south of that border?
