Illegal Immigrant Who Stabbed Wife to Death Wins Right to Stay in Britain

An illegal immigrant who savagely stabbed his wife to death has won the right to stay in Britain – after arguing that he might have to face the anger of his in-laws back home in Turkey.
The convicted killer, who can only be named as KD, entered Britain illegally with his spouse in 2001 and had a political asylum application turned down.
Despite that, he was still here several years later and managing a kebab shop in London when he caught his wife chatting to another man online in 2005.
Infuriated by the chat and by the fact his wife had been wearing a low-cut top, KD stabbed her ten times, before calling friends to confess.
The Old Bailey heard that relatives feared KD could be ‘provoked’ into hitting his wife after she ‘belittled’ him for being infertile.
She had said that she planned to leave him because he couldn’t give her a baby.
He was jailed for life for murder, with a minimum of 12 years, before being released in 2018.
Because of the seriousness of the offence, KD, now in his 50s, qualified for statutory deportation. The Parole Board even said he posed a high risk. But he again claimed asylum, claiming that returning to Turkey would place his life at risk due to a ‘blood feud’.
His legal team argued that two of his relatives had been killed in similar revenge attacks and that he would likely be the next target.
The tribunal judge found it plausible his wife’s family would want revenge for her murder, and concluded that KD would not be safe if deported.
The Home Office argued that KD’s ‘continued presence in the United Kingdom constitutes a danger to the community’ and that he was ‘assessed by the Parole Board as posing a medium to high risk of serious harm to known adults’.
Judge Jonathan Perkins dismissed the appeal, ruling that KD had kept a clean record after his release.
A source said: ‘This is an absolute farce. A man who illegally entered the country, brutally murdered his wife and was meant to be deported is walking free in Britain because of a so-called risk back home. What message does this send?’
It is the latest in a series of immigration scandals.
The Mail on Sunday can reveal that a Jamaican thug ordered for deportation after being convicted in a horrific wounding case has been allowed to stay because his daughter was refusing to go to school.
Donovan Reid, 59, was jailed in 2022. The Home Office began deportation proceedings, but he appealed on human rights grounds.
