Rapper Tay-K was sentenced to 55 years in prison on Tuesday after being convicted of murder last week.
The 19-year-old Texas rapper, whose real name is Taymore McIntyre, was part of a home invasion in Mansfield that left 21-year-old Ethan Walker dead and another man injured in July 2016.
He also received one 30-year and two 13-year sentences for aggravated robbery. They will be served concurrently with the 55-year sentence.
Walker didn’t have the money or drugs Tay-K and his accomplices were looking for. He was shot while his hands were in the air, witnesses said in court.
