Pennsylvania Golf Course Owner Told Cops Black Golfers Were Unarmed ‘Other Than Her Mouth’ in 911 Calls

One of the owners of a Pennsylvania golf course who confronted five black women for dawdling at the second hole told police they were unarmed — except for their mouths, according to newly released audio of his 911 calls.

“Other than her mouth, there’s no weapons,” the Grandview Golf Club official repeatedly told dispatchers during last month’s encounter.

Audio of the phone calls was released by authorities on Wednesday, according to the York Daily Record, more than a month after the alarming confrontation that took place amid a heightened focus on racially charged clashes with businesses and black customers.

“We have a tough situation here with a group of golfers that have decided they don’t want to abide by the rules,” Chronister said in the initial April 21 call.

The dispatcher chimed in to clarify that the women were “literally just standing by the hole.”

Additionally, he said he knew one of the women accused of lolly-gagging as a local lawyer who ran for office. She, according to Chronister, was leading the charge in holding him accountable.

“We’re going to tell everybody we know. We’re five black women and this is how it’s going to be,” she said, according to Chronister.

“She apparently thinks we’re being racist. We’re not being racist,” he then argued.
