White House Talks Immigration with Latino Lawmakers

Seung Min Kim, Politico, September 11, 2014

White House chief of staff Denis McDonough pledged to Latino lawmakers during a private meeting Thursday that President Barack Obama will take executive action on immigration before the holidays are over–an effort to soothe lawmakers furious about the administration’s move to hold off on action.

The timeline was described by several members who attended the meeting and, substantively speaking, isn’t different than the end-of-year pledge made by the White House when it moved to delay executive action on immigration until after the midterm elections.

But it gives at least some faith to members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, who have long pressured the Obama administration to ease deportations of undocumented immigrants–particularly as the prospects for comprehensive immigration reform on the Hill slowly collapsed over the last year.

One member who attended–Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.)–said there was some “serious venting” inside the room.

Multiple people familiar with the meeting said McDonough did not go into specifics of the executive action that Obama will ultimately issue, but stressed that he will go as far as he could under existing law. And–in a response to questions from one lawmaker in the room–McDonough said Obama still plans to act regardless of the results of the November elections or even if the political narrative around the issue worsens for Democrats, people familiar with the discussion said.

McDonough, accompanied by domestic policy adviser Cecilia Munoz and other White House officials, declined to go into details of the meeting except to underscore that Obama still plans to act.

“The president understands the depth of the broken immigration system that we have and he’s bound and determined to make sure that we fix it because it’s impacting our economy, it’s impacting our job growth and it’s a humanitarian issue that’s impacting families across the country,” he told reporters.

“So we’re going to fix it and we’ll do it before the end of the year,” McDonough added.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.), the leading advocate of immigration reform on the Hill, said the Congressional Hispanic Caucus will meet early next week to determine a formal response to the White House over delaying deportation relief.

“No more excuses, I don’t care what senator is dangling in the wind, I don’t care what Republican proposal is being made,” he said. “I don’t care what happens. We are moving forward.”

“You have my solemn promise that I will help you colonize this country that neither of our people built, this country that we only want to live in because the people who did build it made it desirable.”

  • Easyrhino

Of course Obama will act unilaterally. He rammed fed-gov run health care, against the will of the US tax-payer, down our throats so illegal immigration legislation should be a piece of cake.

Would love someone from the Whitehouse discuss all the Latino murderers and felons that ICE released into the general population last year.

What wonderful debating points for Republican candidates to deal a death blow to Democratic candidates. And don’t shut up…put this on the air day and night.

      • kikz2

i hope i live to see sotomayor and the likes of guiterriez and all these la raza chinga las madres literally eaten by those subhuman orks they hold so dear. I can envision sotomayor getting carjacked jacked by a pack of them…… it just warms the cockels of my tiny YT heart 🙂

      • SFLBIB

You have to realize they would expose themselves to charges of “racism”, don’t you? Of course those charges would be a tacit admission that minorities do more crime than non-minorities, but that admission and $2 will get you a cup of coffee. The whole country is FUBAR.

      • Paleoconn

Repulsican candidates to mention this??! Surely, you jest

    • kikz2

would you mind posting the link as well…. thx…

Try to imagine a “Politico” report titled: “White House Talks Immigration with White Lawmakers.”

That’s key to understanding how the immigration calamity. Minorities are encouraged to organize to pursue their particular ethnic interests. The majority is not organized and not permitted to organize to pursue its particular ethnic interest (which would be more white immigration, or a moratorium on new non-white immigration).

    • Samuel Hathaway

“Minorities are encouraged to organize to pursue their particular ethnic interests.”
Yep, as they say, “blood is thicker than water.”

    • LHathaway

“which would be more white immigration, or a moratorium on new non-white immigration”

Why not both? Call it, making up for lost time.

  • Like I said, horrible PR for Obama by not taking it off the table permanently. If he thought this would lull us to sleep, he’s doing a bad job of it by continuing to talk about it.

    • SFLBIB

There is no such thing as “horrible PR for obama.”

      • Just because Obama and the Democrats and their allied media hacks almost always run circles around their hapless Republican opponents when it comes to strategy and PR, doesn’t mean they’re perfect and it doesn’t mean they don’t screw up from time to time.

        • SFLBIB

PR that is not reported is not really PR.

        • Sparky

If we have any chance right now, it is with Republicans. The “all or nothing” approach will guarantee nothing.

  • These are the Mexicans I know. Arrogant and demanding. They view themselves as the superior race (La Raza), who own this entire continent. We whites either take a peaceful stand now, such as a one day General Strike, shutting the country down for a day, or rivers of blood will flow in the streets in the future as the Mexicans’ natural tendency to blood letting is loosed upon the land.

These folks are the same ones who were cutting the hearts out of children as sacrifice not that long ago, and still behead enemies today. Luis Gutierrez would, if truth be known, just as soon kill off the white race as look at us. I met plenty of his kind on the faculty at the University of Texas in San Antonio while a professor there. Bad vibes. Bad dudes. And dumb as a box of rocks.

Joe Poole Lake, Texas. A Dallas suburb. You may know it. On the History channel en Español, there was a documentary called “FRONTERA” a history about the U.S.-Mexican border. One Mexy-American, hispanosupremacist sociologist on the program smirked about Joe Poole Lake being almost exclusively Hispanic today after JPL was nearly all white in the 1970s and 80s.

By any definition, this sounds like racial cleansing. this pattern is playing itself out everywhere, including Ferguson, MO, where I hear as recently as the 80s, the town was 85 white, now 70% black.

      Be strong.

      • kikz2

it is… White’s head more north to the exoburbs…. but now.. they’re getting dark too….i know.. i live here…

      • mobilebay

Lived nearby in the sixties and seventies and can’t believe the changes I hear of now. Taught school in the area and only recall one Hispanic child in my class and maybe five in the whole school. I’m sure they are the majority in the district now. This group will go down as the most demanding in history. True immigrants that came to this country made it on their own. This present gang not only breaks in, but wants to be supported for life and our foolish government has surrendered to them.

    • MBlanc46

A one day general strike. I can’t imagine it’s possible, but it does conjure up a wonderful image. Tens of millions of white people standing up and saying “No!”

      • SFLBIB

You might have something here. The schools take attendance because they get paid by the state for each student present. If a student misses a day and has no excuse, the school gets its funding deducted. Imagine if every white student stayed home the same day.

    • Sick of it

They still cut out hearts from time to time, but you have to read about it in small, local newspapers posted online.

    • mobilebay

Bigone – it’s early morning and you’ve already ruined my day by mentioning the foremost Hispanic traitor in our government – Luis Gutierrez. I feel such revulsion when he appears on screen, I turn away. He will have a special place in amnesty hell for selling out our country.

    • SentryattheGate

Yep, Mexicans love that blood-letting! Bull-fighting, dogfighting, cockfighting, 4 times more domestic violence than whites, machismo at it’s best! Re. your experience at UT, my aunt, a professor at New Mexico State University, near El Paso, saw the same thing; hatred of the gringo from several Hispanic professors. And this was even back in the 60’s! One of the hateful profs. was apparently earning a little (a lot?) on the side by bringing drugs through the border, while visiting friends and family back “home”!

  • Alexandra1973

Before the end of the year meaning right after mid-terms, I’ll bet.

“White House Talks Immigration with Latino Lawmakers”
    Get a load of this.

A black and a group of Hispanics are discussing behind closed doors how they might best serve their tribal kin and reduce whitey’s voting clout.

And we have the do-gooder white weenies to thank for this.

Silly whites allowed non-whites to come in, then they gave a plethora of privileges to blacks, and all of them together work toward reducing white power. They’re inside a Trojan horse right now waiting the right time to takeover and divide up the spoils.

Ted Kennedy should have been hanged long ago for crimes against his own people.

    • me

Teddy should have spent the remaining years of his life behind bars for the murder of Mary Jo Kopechne and the Chappaquiddick scandal. Instead, the globalist ‘elites’ used him as a tool for the next phase of the destruction of the United States of America.

    • paul marchand

      I wouldn’t say “white weenies”. I would say * white traitors * .

  • kikz2

damn the torpedoes… “we’re moving ahead”… the whole mindset of that asshat Guiterriez.and his ilk. is just contemptible…he could freakin care less how more ‘undocumented migrants’ negatively affect this country or the ones that are already here…. he’s after freakin votes…..

“McDonough, accompanied by domestic policy adviser Cecilia Munoz and other White House officials, declined to go into details of the meeting except to underscore that Obama still plans to act.”

Essentially, La Raza itself is crafting these executive actions:

“Cecilia Muñoz (born July 27, 1962) is director of the White House Domestic Policy Council. Prior to that, she served as the White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs. A longtime civil rights advocate, she worked as Senior Vice President for the Office of Research, Advocacy and Legislation at the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), a nonprofit organization established to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans, overseeing advocacy activities that cover issues of importance to immigrants.” – Wikipedia

  • SentryattheGate

Speaking if Identity politics, Cecilia Munoz accompanied McDonough. She was a head honcho in LaRaza, which receives >$250 million/yr. from “our” gov’t. She was born in the US, to Bolivian parents. Instead of gratitude to the US, she works hard, from White House posts, to sell US out! See Wikipedia: Cecilia Muñoz (born July 27, 1962) is director of the White House Domestic Policy Council. Prior to that, she served as the White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs. A longtime civil rights advocate, she worked as Senior Vice President for the Office of Research, Advocacy and Legislation at the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), a nonprofit organization established to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans, overseeing advocacy activities that cover issues of importance to immigrants.[1] In 2000, she was named a MacArthur Fellow for her work on civil rights and immigration. Muñoz was featured in several films in the documentary seriesHow Democracy Works Now: Twelve Stories.

didya see the (dot) in the middle, that’s probably why it didn’t work.. the article wasn’t that informative.. it was trying to build local interest.. i guess..anyway glad it compelled you to research further 😉 that’s stuff White people do….:D

    • John

There are a couple of books on this very subject that may interest you, “American B.C.” by Barry Fell and “The Lost Worlds of Ancient America” by Rick Osman. I’ve read the first and although it was first published in the ’70s, it’s a a compelling argument for early white explorers in North American. The evidence is abundant if you know what to look for, especially in New England.

      • SentryattheGate

Thanks, John. More inconvenient truths for the LaRaza types that insist that European-descent people don’t belong in the Americas!

  • WR_the_realist

Another reason why Obama should be impeached. But the Republicans don’t have the stones to try.

  • Dale McNamee

Why not create a “hostile environment” ( target LaRaza and other Latino orgs like the leftists do to conservatives, treat them with suspicion and make them aware of it, go after their “non-Latino” advocates everywhere they can be found, treat them like “neo-nazi/white supremecists” are treated… ) It’s long past the time to fight back and “damn the torpedos” ( cries, shrieks, and charges of “racism”… When accused of such… Say. ” Meh ! ” ) Drain that word of all its “power”…

And remember the Repugnicans who won’t stand up for US Immigration laws by voting them out and electing true America loving conservatives…

  • AFlaVet

“Congressional Hispanic Caucus”..of course…you’re an illegal speek and you have a “right” to dictate our laws to us. Then you have the CBC, so you’re black and you want to dictate to us that blacks aren’t subject to the same laws as whites. All these hyphenated clowns in Congress ( all names ending in “os or a z” ) need to be recalled for their treason to their oaths of office. I’m disgusted that some clown with latin background cares more about his illegal, illiterate cousins then he does for the good of the country. Melting pot? BS…more like a taco salad that never and will not go down well.

  • John

“The president understands the depth of the broken immigration system
that we have and he’s bound and determined to make sure that we fix it…”. The system isn’t broken, it’s not being enforced. Of course the Hispanic caucus wants these squat monsters legalized, more votes for them. Bring back “Operation Wetback”. It’s long overdue.

    • Bossman

So why do you think it is not being enforced? Maybe one reason why it is not being enforced is because it can’t be enforced. The situation has been that way for a long time. There will also never be another “Operation Wetback.” The times are very different.

      • John

It’s not being enforced because Obammy’s “handlers” don’t want it enforced. “Their” philosophy is the more diverse a country is, the “safer” “they” are. If I were to be any more specific, my comments would disappear in a NY minute. At least they would in this forum. Breibart, however, is a whole new ballgame. Aside from threats of violence, just about anything goes there.

      • SentryattheGate

The enforcement is being told to stand down; that’s why the Border Patrol has 10 or so lawsuits against the Fed. gov’t. Four US presidents have signed on to the North American Union (aka the NAU & Security and Prosperity Partnership) along with the leaders of Canada and Mexico, dissolving the borders between us and them. It is the intent of the UN to make regional gov’ts. worldwide, under UN directorship.

  • English Majority

Brothers, I think the Reckoning is nearing.

This rancid, twisted, filthy, savage oppression of Whites in their own nations is hanging by a thread. Our sanity as a race is hanging by a thread.

    It all must FALL.

    • Canadian Friend

      I agree.

Try as I might I can not see how else this can be stopped.

I do not wish for violence, I hope someone can find another way than a sort of revolution or a sort of civil war, but the more I inform myself on these matters ( this planned and imposed race-replacement/suicide of Western Civilization and the white race ) and the more I analyze the situation, the more I am convinced it will all end in violence.

Either Obama or someone else will eventually push things a bit too far, there will be an event that will trigger riots, and then it will devolve into something bigger.

More and more white people are fed up, more and more of them now dare speak up, the tone and content of comments on the internet is more and more the same; white people are more and more fed up with this injustice, with this anti-white oppression that our leaders , in all Western Nations from the USA to Sweden, are imposing on us.

I can not believe good people will do nothing and let this abuse go on, I am convinced some event will trigger violence and from there it will grow quickly.

I simply can not believe Americans will just sit on their hands and watch crazy people destroy their nation.

I can not believe good people will simply let their leaders mistreat them more and more and hand their nation to illegals and to Muslims and to whomever is not white.

I can not believe good people will do nothing and will let this evil go on.

I simply can not believe it.

I always hear how Mexicans have drove out the blacks in Watts in Southern California. Well, duh, they also done a crackerjack job with Whites also. Wherever Mexicans go, White, black or purple leave in droves. Mexicans are the new Negroes.

    • Bossman

I don’t think they are the new Negroes, they may be the new masters of North America. What exact is a Mexican? An indigenous Indian who just happens to speak Spanish? A mestizo? A descendant of Spaniards? The truth is a Mexican can be all of those things and more.
