1.1 Million Brazilians Murdered in 30 Years

Fox News, July 18, 2013

More than one million people were murdered in Brazil between 1980 and 2011, making it the world’s seventh most violent country, a survey showed Thursday.

During the period, homicides soared 132 percent to claim 1,145,208 lives, from a rate of 11.5 murders for 100,000 inhabitants in 1980 to 27 per 100,000 in 2011, according to the Map of Violence report,

Among those aged between 14 and 25, homicides skyrocketed 326 percent to reach 53 per 100,000 inhabitants, said the study published by the Latin American Studies Center (Cebela).

In 2011, Brazil, now home to 194 million people, recorded 51,198 homicides, ranked seventh among the world’s most violent nations after El Salvador, the US Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Colombia and Guatemala.

From 2007, the study highlighted a resumption of a surge in violence after a drop in the previous decade, attributed mainly to public disarmament policies.

The study also showed most murder victims are men (women represent only eight percent of the total) and blacks (the number among them surged 30.6 percent to 35,297 in 2011 compared with a 26 percent fall among whites to 13,895 that same year.

Some 77 percent of young people murdered were Afro-Brazilians in a country where nearly 52 percent of the population is of African descent.

{snip}

“This magnitude cannot be attributed to the continental size of Brazil,” the study warned, pointing out that among the world’s most populous countries, only Mexico comes close to Brazil with 22 homicides for 100,000 inhabitants.

The figures are one for 100,000 in China, 3.4 in India, 5.3 in the United States and 12.2 in Nigeria.

That will be America in another 100 years or less. The left is moving to give blacks a free pass for their criminal acts. It’s madness.

No who would have believed that about such a model utopia of racial mixture?
And that US figure needs a little closer inspection, nome sane?

I can assure you that the people getting killed there are not the pretty sexy girls. Perhaps it is their many jealous boyfriends.

  • Spartacus

Yes but the wounds were culturally vibrant, and that’s what really matters, right ?

  • Biff_Maliboo

    1.1 Million Brazilians?

Sounds like a child making up large numbers.

    • So CAL Snowman

For the past decade or so Brazil has AVERAGED approximately 45,000 homicides a year.

      45,000 X 30 =1,350,000.

Accounting for statistical peaks and valleys, that number seems accurate to me.

      • Biff_Maliboo

        Perhaps I wasn’t clear.

I was making a joke like this:

Joe: Didja hear? Many Brazilians died in an earthquake!

Sam: That’s awful! How many is a brazilian?

          Dumb Britain

          Q. What is a Brazilian?
          A. A special haircut for sexy girls.

I support and commend the ‘special haircut’…….!!!!!

      • Puggg

And notice that for 1.1 million Brazilians murdered in the last 30 years, the population of Brazil is swelling. We can forget about the notion that violent crime results in a population decline. That’s because violent crime rarely involves fertile women as victims.

        • Bossman

That is a very good observation. Males are very expendable. In macho tropical societies, they become even more expendable. In times past, periodic wars and conflicts would take care of the excess males.

          • Puggg

Remember QD’s allegory, in the world with 10 fertile people, a world with nine women and one man will have a much higher population growth than a world with nine men and one woman. In the world with nine men and one woman, if one of the men murders another one of the men, the population growth capability will not decrease.

  • So CAL Snowman

Yet another smoking hole in the liberal lie that our huge arsenal of guns kill people and that’s why we have so much violent crime in the United States. The United States has more than 300 million privately owned firearms and has a rate of 94.3 guns per 100 people. In stark contrast, Brazil has a gun rate of approximately 8 per 100 people. Brazil has roughly 255 million FEWER guns than the United States. Brazil has one of the lowest gun ownership rates in the world yet has the highest amount of homicides by firearm in the world. Gee liberals, how could this possibly be? Maybe just maybe, the Pardos (mixed race Brazilians) and the blacks are just insanely violent and dangerous no matter where they live.

    • Puggg

The Brazil-Belgium company that bought Anheuser-Busch was known as InBev when it did that. Before that, it was strictly a Brazilian brewer called AmBev. And during that time, AmBev was a big sponsor of Brazilian “gun control,” to the point where private ownership of firearms in Brazil is close to impossible.

  • APaige

From 1976-1994 the murder committing rate per 100,000 for blacks averaged 30.8 and for whites is was 4.0. The age that commits the most homicides is the 18-24 bracket. From 1976-1994 the average murder rate for white females was 1.7, but for black females it was 16.6. (Note: that between 1976-1980 the black female murder rate in this age group was higher than white males) During that same time the white male murder rate was 19.0 but for blacks an astounding 150.9 Above states for Brazil the 14-25 rate is 53 per 100,000. Blacks in the US in the 14-24 age range is just over 1% of the population but commit over 30% of the murders.

Black age group 14-24 only make up just over 1% of the population? Geez. Feels like there’s way more then that. Im not at all saying your incorrect,I’ve heard that statistic before and i know it must be correct. Just seems like there’s more of them then us sometimes.

      • Puggg

They’re only 1% of the real population but are glorified in the media about 50% of the time. Even if you never turn on a TV or pick up a sports magazine, they behave in such a way such that you think there are more of them than they are actually. If you drive around in a census tract that is half white half black at about 7 PM in the evening on a summer night, you’ll drive away thinking that the census tract is 100% black. They hang around on their own front porches, play games on the sidewalk and in the street, and the white people who live there are pretty much prisoners of their own four walls.

        • Michelle

Lol your so right. It only Seems like there’s Alot of them cause they’re constantly being shoved in our faces. They’re being integrated into our schools, neighbourhoods,tv shows, can’t even look at our president without seeing black. Its overwhelming.. But you can’t keep forcing something onto someone without them eventually rebelling. Kinda makes me wonder if maybe they know that? Maybe they’re forcing black people on us cause they want us to snap and rebel. Im sure people now days are turning racist at record breaking numbers. Everytime they allow the wilderbeast to run ramped threw the streets terrorizing white people, those white people are going to see blacks in a new light,a dark and vioul light,if they didn’t know black people don’t belong in our society they know now… I know its alittle far fetch to think this is all a plan to start a race war, buts its the only think that makes any sense to me.

  • Puggg

With Brazil (11.5) being so close to Nigeria (12.2), you’d walk away thinking Brazil was almost a 100% black country.

Jamaica’s not in the top 7? That’s shocking to me.. I thought Jamaica had more violence then 1/2 those places they named… Or perhaps most murders there go unreported.

    • Sick of it

Murders in Haiti certainly go unreported (otherwise, same situation). Not sure about Jamaica.

    • Bossman

Male apes have a very low tolerance for other male apes especially when a female in heat is present.

      • Michelle

Hahahaha lol its so true. I think about how my cats are more intelligent, more behaved, and more loving then Any black person I’ve ever met.. One of my cats, was a pregnant stray that i found and kept.. She was a more attentive loving and neutchering mother then Any of the black females i kno.. A stray cat has better parenting skills then a human black person. Then just before she was going to get fixed she slipped out and got pregnant again. And that made me think, my stray cat has had less babies with less baby fathers then Any of the black girls i know.. I use to make the comparison that black girls were like a dirty alley cat, popping out litre after litre of babies, that all look different cause they all have different fathers. Cats in heat yowl this incredibly loud annoying sound all day, black girls loud voice is similarly
Annoying… But then when i found my stray pregnant cat, that’s when i realized they’re not as much alike as i thought and its quite insulting to stray alley cats everywhere to be compared to blacks. Cats or any animal, are Alot closer to being human then black people are. They parent better, listen better, smell better, are smarter and more loving. And they’re far more appreciative of you & everything u do for them, then blacks are… So basically how embarrassing it is that my cat is a better parent and more civilized then the black race. Lol.

Recall the Wall Street shills promoting the BRICs? Brazil, Russia, India, and China–the new economic superstars, according to the greedy, lying shills. It is wishful thinking or criminal fraud to suggest that Brazil will not degenerate into chaos. The racial makeup of the country makes it a certainty. But watch the shills crawl out from under their rocks as the Olympics get closer. The MSM will celebrate the diversity like never before in history. I wish that Amren has enough money to send a correspondent there for a week so that the truth comes out.

    • Puggg

The 2016 Olympics in Rio will be like the 2010 World Cup in South Africa: It will be apparently successful and problem free, but only because those countries are turned into military dictatorships for several weeks.

    • MBlanc46

Russia has all of that oil and gas. They’re going to be players for quite a while. China has all of that labor and Confucian culture. They certainly could crash and burn for a number of reasons, but they could, with some craft and luck, become the dominant economic power in the world. India has a stratum of pretty well educated sort-of-English speakers, but the masses seem so degraded that it’s hard to imagine them ever escaping Third World conditions. Brazil has all of that rainforest to cut down to devote to agriculture, which will keep them in the game in a food-importing world, but with 50% black and mulatto, they’re probably doomed to a future of violence and poverty. It will be a challenge to keep the bloods under control during the World Cup and the Olympics, but the South Africans managed it. Of course, they have to get the facilities finished, which apparently they’re not doing very well at.

  • Tim_in_Indiana

In 2011, Brazil, now home to 194 million people, recorded 51,198 homicides, ranked seventh among the world’s most violent nations after El Salvador, the US Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Colombia and Guatemala.

Hmmm…what do these countries all have in common with each other?
The liberal answer: “They’re all victims of evil white colonial imperialism and exploitation!!!”

    • Sick of it

      Best response: So was America.

    • Bossman

Black males are indeed a problem. Maybe their dicks are too big and their brains too small. In the Hispanic countries it is all about drugs. One more reason to believe that humanity is purely a result of evolution from primordial apes.

  • Sick of it

The powers that be are pushing heavy for immigration from the most violent nations in the world. Obviously they know what’s good for us.

  • Defiant White

Good news. Nature’s Way of telling us to spend our summer vacation here at home.

  • KenelmDigby

The heavily black component of the Brazilian population will ensure that Brazil will *never* become a serious, developed nation and ‘punch its weight’ in the global pecking order.
Don’t listen to all the hype about ‘BRIC’ nations and the rest, Brazil will never lift itself from the third world mire, as I said the black and the black-mixed population (an actual majority of the Brazilian population) will keep dragging it down.

    • MBlanc46

You’re probably right, but as long as they still have a huge number of acres of rainforest to cut down for agriculture, a lot of money will be pouring into the place.

  • blight14

    I fail to see a downside………….

    • David Ashton

      Escape to paradise.

Actually Colombia has a very large Black population, especially in the Northern region near the Caribbean coast.

Google the term Choco, Colombia. Choco is overwhelmingly Black. It’s the Detroit of Colombia.

    • Puggg

There are a fair number of black Colombians in Major League Baseball.

  • pcmustgo

Latinos are very mixed. Even Mexicans have all this hidden black admixture… Hondurans too… I recently met a mixed venzuelan… had the stand mulatto look.

  • Bossman

Brazil is the one country in the Americas that imported the most slaves from Africa. So I would be surprised to know that very few racially mixed Brazilians have no or little African ancestry. I believe it is all a matter of shades and degrees of mixing. Most people may want to get away from blackness. But culturally speaking, most Brazilians carry something of the African and the Indian about them as the great Brazilian sociologist Gilberto Freyre once said.

    • Luca Kreutz

It is of little consequence what surprises you or me. The genetic research I mention is all very up to date, from 2010/11. The same autosomal DNA study at a periphery school in Rio, shows that even the blacks had a large non african component. “The “blacks” (pretos) of the periphery of Rio de Janeiro, according to this study, thought of themselves as predominantly African before the study and yet they turned out predominantly European (at 52%), the African contribution at 41% and the Native American 7%”. This of course, does not mean that this is the case for blacks in all regions of Brasil.
I did NOT say multiracial Brazilians have little or no African ancestry. What i said, citing the most recent DNA studies, is that in some regions of the country, mixed Brazilians can be predominantly European.

      • John R

Sorry. But just LOOKING at Brazilians, you can see that very few of them are really “white.” Even you mentioned “white” Brazilians to include ARABS! Brazil desperately allowed a huge number of Europeans to immigrate there in the late 1800’s, mostly from the Mediterranean countries of Europe. Even the “pure white” Brazilians are of the olive complexioned variety of European. As in many countries in Latin America, it is considered more desirable to call yourself “white.” Often, it is more a matter of economic/social class status, than of actual racial ancestry.

Few Brazilians are really “white” by American standards. There are few Anglo Saxons among the population to help assimilate all the hot tempered Latins among their white people. And even these are probably outnumbered by a huge mulato population. I also think the 7% black number is very small.
If our president had a son, he would probably look like a typical young Brazilian. (Sorry, fellow Amren readers; I couldn’t resist that one!)

        • Bossman

The country is hot and tropical so it is not in anybody’s best interest to be snow-white there. I’ve visited Recife, even with a strong Atlantic breeze, the place felt like being in a blast furnace. Yet I did see some very white people living there.

          • Luca Kreutz

Yep, most of the country is unbearably hot. In the South and parts of the Southeast, its sub-tropical, and this is one of the reasons most European immigrants chose that part of the country to go to. Recife is in the Northeast, whites are a minority in the region.

        • Jefferson

Obama’s son would be predominantly Sub Saharan African, because his mother would be Michelle Obama.

Genetically, the average Brazilian is way more European than Sub Saharan African.

If you don’t believe me than google the genetic admixture of the Brazilian population. The average Brazilian definitely does not look like a Haitian.

I read something like the average Brazilian has around 10 percent Sub Saharan African admixture. The Brazilian population as a whole are nowhere close to being a pure Negroid population.

      • Bossman

Well, as far as I’m concern, it is good news to know that cross-breeding is working well in Brazil and that they are not getting blacker. I’ve been to Recife and Rio. In Recife, the Indian element appears to be stronger than the African in people’s faces.

  • Bossman

Thanks for the links and videos. I do hope you keep posting to this forum to explain what Brazil and Latin America is all about. I do want to see Brazil succeed and remain a happy place. As far as race mixing goes, Brazil is a giant lab that is worth watching. I believe that the native Indians acted like a catalyst to facilitate the cross-breeding of whites and Blacks.
