Zombies in Paris
Kevin DeAnna, American Renaissance, October 22, 2026
The scenes in France can’t help but remind people of zombie movies. The genre has always carried political meaning, with the original Night of the Living Dead serving as a metaphor for cultural change and racial revolution. That meaning has shifted. Today it functions more as a fantasy of total war and societal collapse, with everyone projecting their own view of who counts as the brain-dead “zombie” and who remains the brave survivor. Society has already collapsed internally, and some people are waiting for violence to break out, even though it probably won’t.
