The father of a teen boy who was stabbed to death at a track meet in Texas was thrown out of a press conference for his alleged killer and targeted with shocking insults from the accused’s supporters.
Austin Metcalf’s father Jeff Metcalf crashed a press conference on Thursday organized by the supporters of 17-year-old alleged killer Karmelo Anthony.
Metcalf, who had been standing with the press, was escorted out of the venue after police were called to the Next Generation Action Network’s headquarters in Dallas.
Minister Dominique Alexander delayed the event until Metcalf, who refused to leave on his own when asked, was forced out of the room by security.
Alexander then slammed Metcalf for showing up uninvited, calling his behavior ‘inappropriate,’ and ‘a disrespect to the dignity of his son’, TMZ reported.
Anthony walked free from jail after a controversial decision by a judge to lower his bond for charges that he stabbed and killed Austin Metcalf, who died in his twin brother’s arms.

A donation page for the teen’s legal defense has received more than $450,000 as of Thursday, with many donors claiming he is the real victim in the killing.
Anthony’s attorney Michael Howard said, regarding the money: ‘It would be disingenuous to say there isn’t money… But it is not a bond fund. This family needs to be able to survive.’
