Alabama Man Pleads Guilty to Beating Roommate to Death Over Stolen Pop-Tart

A 59-year-old Alabama man has pleaded guilty in the beating death of his roommate over a Pop-Tart theft.
Daryl Miley, of Ozark, has pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor crime of criminally negligent homicide in the 2024 death of 63-year-old Billy Joe Maynard {snip}
Mile was sentenced to 12 months in the Dale County Jail.

Billy Joe Maynard, 63, died from broken ribs and a ruptured spleen after Miley became enraged over a “pop tart dispute.”
