Gallup: Record High Concern on Immigration, America’s Biggest ‘Problem’
Paul Bedard, Washington Examiner, July 23, 2019
Growing concerns about nonstop illegal immigration has surged to a record high, becoming America’s biggest “problem” by a mile, according to a new poll.
In its latest survey, Gallup said that 27% cited immigration as their top concern, up from a month ago when it hit a prior record at 23%.

“Gallup has asked the ‘most important problem’ question since 1939, and has done so on a monthly basis since March 2001. Over the past 19 years, only five other issues have been mentioned at some point by at least the 27% who named immigration this month. These include the economy in general, unemployment, the situation in Iraq, terrorism and the government,” said Gallup.
