Man Accused of Killing 2 Deputies: ‘I Did Kill Those Cops’

Sarah Parvini, Los Angeles Times, February 4, 2015

A man charged with killing two sheriff’s deputies in Northern California stunned a courtroom Wednesday morning with a dramatic outburst.

“I did kill those cops. You can execute me whenever you’re ready,” Luis Enrique Monroy Bracamontes said at the end of a hearing in Sacramento County Superior Court, the Associated Press reported.

During a break, he told his lawyers he wanted to plead guilty, the AP reports, but they told him he could not. His attorneys blamed the outburst on anxiety.

Bracamontes faces two counts of murder in the deaths of Sacramento County sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Oliver and Placer County sheriff’s Deputy Michael Davis. He is also charged with three counts of attempted murder, including shooting a motorist he allegedly carjacked.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Bracamontes, who is accused of killing the deputies during a six-hour shooting rampage in October. {snip}

Bracamontes and his wife were on the run from law enforcement after they shot Oliver in a hotel parking lot on Oct. 24, authorities said.

The couple tried to carjack a motorist, who refused to turn over his keys and was shot in the head, authorities said. They allegedly stole another car and drove to Auburn, where they were confronted by Davis and his partner.

[Editor’s Note: Absent from the Los Angeles Times’ report is the fact that Mr. Bracamontes is a twice-deported illegal.]

  • Sure, because it’s really courageous to ask to be executed in a state that exceedingly rarely uses the death penalty.

I did kill those cops. You can execute me whenever you’re ready…

    How about… NOW, you low-life?

    • Oil Can Harry

Well at least the dude was honest; a black killer would have bleated “I din do nuffin’!!! Mark Fuhrman be framin’ me!”

      • Nancy

One of my former students from the ghetto is now doing 25-to-life for killing his drug dealer (and THEN, after he was tossed into the Atlanta prison, managed to smuggle in a gun and kill yet another inmate). His favorite phrase, even as a boneheaded six-year-old, was “I-din’-do-nuffin?” He would say it slowly, with an inflection that made it sound as if he was baffled that anyone would suspect him in the first place.

I can just imagine him spouting his “din’-do’nuffin” line to the arresting officers, his lawyers, the judge…

It’s a good thing this hard working, family oriented, but violent latino is in prison or he would be given a green card and qualify for Obama’s amnesty.

    • dmxinc

Who says he still won’t qualify?

      • Albert

Aye. Obama already has a record for releasing Hispanic criminals without deporting them. I’m sure he’d have no problem releasing this scum and giving him a green card to boot.

        • The latest news is that a lot of these Hispanics and other illegals that were raided in job site raids of employers hiring illegals? Many of the illegals were in very short order given work permits and turned back out to find work legally. The employers themselves were only lightly slapped on the hand. So the raids were just for show. Another Razatard complaint exposed.

This has been taking place in both the Bush 43 and Obama administrations, incidentally.

          • ElComadreja

The employers need to do some hard time. Maybe a few rapes and beatings will help them see the error of their ways.

        • ElComadreja

Get ready for that bastard to pardon every black, Hispanic and Muslim federal prisoner on his way out.

    • WR_the_realist

He’d also get a work visa from the Obama administration.

If I wanted to destroy the United States of America I’d create something very much like the federal government, and put people in charge of it who call themselves “Democrats” or “Republicans”.

  • Truthseeker

I’ll sit back and wait for the Mexican community to grovel and apologize for this miscreant and his poor representation of their people.

    • ElComadreja

      You’ll be waiting in vain.

  • Vito Powers

Would Jeb Bush consider this an “act of love”? Even though he was deported, he returned to the US because he is a “family values” type of guy.

One thing I can tell you from law enforcement, the public bravado of cretins like this is just that, a show for the public. The overwhelming majority hispanics are in fact quite cowardly when it comes to the death penalty, especially when the big day actually arrives for the few who finally have to pay the piper. Blacks are quite the yellow dog too at the end. Of course anyone would be scared, but the non-white criminals are actually such crybabies that it’s likely they are more scared than any of their victims ever were. Non-whites are hyper-emotional, black and brown men are sometimes almost feminine in the way that emotion controls so much of their thinking in certain areas in comparison to White and Asian men. You can get a bit of a whiff of this from media reports that hit whenever one of these creatures gets the all too humane injection that stops their evil hearts. If it weren’t for the tranquilizers that these criminals are given well before their executions, we would likely see some real ear-piercing shrieks of terror from these animals.

As noted by “Question Diversity”, it’s also the fact that the Death Penalty is so rarely used in CA, despite the good sized crowd on Death Row in our formerly Golden State. Even if this guy gets the syringe as reward, it will likely be 17 – 20 years down the line. The flip side is the US likely won’t last that long, and after the smoke clears, animals like this will likely be pulled from their cages and put down immediately.

  • Luca

This big, brave, street turd knows there are over 740 other lowlifes awaiting execution in the Sanctuary State of Claifornia. Even if the death penalty is reinstated in California, it will take 20-years minimum and endless appeals while this scumbag runs a gang-banger enterprise from prison.

I say we do to him what ISIS did to that poor Jordanian pilot. Then will see how brave he is.

  • Hey California, how’s that Mexican ‘diversity’ working for you? Isn’t is wonderful what the Mexican people have brought to the Golden State? They’ve surely ‘enriched’ us.

Don’t worry, folks, thanks to a nationwide amnesty being bushed by BOTH democrats and republicans, every state in the Union will get to experience Mexican, Salvadorian, and Honduran ‘diversity.’

    • Yancy Derringer

The whole country… it’s starting to V-I-B-R-A-T-E real good now!

    • ElComadreja

They are the scum of the earth along with the Guatemalans, Costa Ricans and Caribbean island trash.

Man Accused Of Killing Two California Deputies Was Deported Twice, Gave False Name

Apparently, this animal used three different names.

Anyone want to bet as to whether he’s got three SS #s, three driver’s licenses, multiple EBT cards, gets welfare under three different names and is registered to vote at least three times? —

He’s headed to prison, but not before American taxpayers fund his translators, medical care, court costs and lawyers.

According to Jeb, illegals do these things out of love.

Mr. Obama and Speaker Boehner continue to ignore American families whose loved ones were killed by illegal aliens.

The Remembrance Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit, was created in 2009 to honor and remember Americans who have been killed by illegal aliens. The Remembrance Project educates, raises awareness, and conducts outreach in order to support and protect Americans and their families’ well-being and safety through upholding U.S. laws and following the Constitution.

    • Sick of it

Hey, he’s just killing the cops that Americans won’t.

      • Bon, From the Land of Babble

Well the illegals have been brought in to replace blacks, so they’re doing the jobs blacks used to do…but blacks haven’t got the message yet.

  • dd121

Why wouldn’t the jury believe him?

  • Biff_Maliboo

    Viva Jeb Boosh!

    • IstvanIN

It was an act of love.

  • LHathaway

The day has finally come. The only one in the courtroom with any dignity or sense of morality is the bandito who killed 2 cops, and another innocent bystandard. By, ‘courtroom’ I might be referencing the state of NCarolina . . .

  • WoodyBBad

Take him out behind the courthouse, give him a cigarette and a blindfold, and make his wish come true.

  • Jake Frizzell

Bullet or rope. Bill all costs to the Mexican government. The same for the traitors in Congress.

  • Vito Powers

Last year at an event at the his father’s presidential library in Texas, Jeb Bush made his infamous “act of love” remarks at a town hall event.

“Yes, they broke the law, but it’s not a felony,” Jeb Bush said of illegal immigrants. “It’s an act of love. It’s an act of commitment to your family. I honestly think that that is a different kind of crime that there should be a price paid, but it shouldn’t rile people up that people are actually coming to this country to provide for their families.”

In that interview, Bush, speaking specifically about visa overstays, also said that “a great country ought to know where those folks are and politely ask them to leave.”

And Jeb is supposed to be the “smart one”?

    • mobilebay

So Jeb thinks it’s okay to break the law? Well, Senor Bush, what can Americans do that constitutes “an act of love” and get away with?

    • Is Jeb going to pardon me? I miss shooting, but I doubt he will, so he can go kick rocks. I’ll vote for Shrillary. Go to hell, GOP.

  • ElComadreja

A pity they didn’t march him outside to the back of the building and end his miserable life with a bullet between the eyes.

  • prematutino

as a mexican I can assure you we are not proud of this piece of crap. kill him.
