29 Students Arrested After Julian High School Fight

Chicago Police arrested 29 students following a fight at Percy L. Julian High School Tuesday.

Police were called to the Washington Heights school shortly after 10 a.m. for what they termed a “major incident.”

Students tell NBC 5 Chicago that the disturbance was gang-related and was initially provoked by a comments somebody made in the hallway on the second floor.

Twenty-six male students and three female student were arrested.

Officials say all classes and activities resumed as normal the rest of the day and additional support and security staff will be provided through the rest of the week.

Nobody was injured in the disturbance, according to CPS officials.
