Illegal Immigrant in Milford Death Ruled Incompetent

My Fox Boston, April 11, 2013

The illegal immigrant who was drunk driving when he hit and dragged a Milford man to his death has been ruled incompetent to stand trial.

Judge Janet Kinton-Walker says Nicolas Guaman’s “unique cultural background” and language barrier means that he doesn’t understand the court process. The court also said that he lacks the ability to consult with his attorney properly.

The judge ordered Guaman’s attorney to find an interpreter and educated him on the court process.

In August 2011, 23-year-old Matthew Denice was hit and dragged to death while riding his motorcycle.

{snip}

This case has caused outrage across the nation and FOX 25 has covered the story extensively.

{snip}

{snip} He and the new interpreter are due back in court in June.

FOX 25’s Melissa Mahan asked [Matthew’s mother Maureen] Maloney whether she believes Guaman does not understand the court process in the United States because of his language barrier.

“No, I don’t believe it,” said Maloney. “In the past, he’s had other run-ins with the law. He’s been in court multiple times on other charges prior to all this in August 2011 and a Spanish interpreter or no interpreter was used for those hearings and he’s always managed just fine.”

Not likely they will find an objective person to interpret.

    • Flaxen-headed Strumpet

This mestizo guy probably got at least a third grade education in proper South American Spanish in Ecuador. While Quichua and and about four other indigenous languages are spoken in one corner or another of Ecuador, they are not officially recognized. (unlike Bolivia, Paraguay and Peru) Rest assured he couldn’t have functioned in his journey to the US or his stay here to date without a mastery of Spanish/Spanglish that at least is equivalent to the mastery of English that your typical high skool drop out/expellee Ebonics speaking defendant uses in his day to day thug life. And the Ebonoparlante defendants don’t get any enhanced anthro-linguistic services for mounting their defenses.

And Frank is dead on the money about an objective interpreter for whatever “language” is ultimately found to be that of this defendant. In fact it will be almost impossible to find a “qualified” interpreter that isn’t or wasn’t a wetback himself. And to add insult to taxpayer injury, this interpreter instead of being paid about $50.00 to $60.00 an hour as a Spanish interpreter will be paid some wildly enhanced hourly rate as an interpreter of a “rare and exotic” language, which in all likelihood will turn out to be garden variety Ecuadorian Hillbilly Squat Monster Spanglish.

  • Sloppo

Sometimes it’s smart to act stupid.

    • Bill

And they ALL do upon arrest or detainment. Act stupid and like they no comprendo. But they sure know who to steal our jobs, apply for welfare, and game the system, don’t they.

  • bigone4u

Somebody screwed up and forgot that the term “illegal immigrant” is no longer allowed to be written in news stories. Or maybe Fox 25 in Boston is as disgusted with this drunken murderer as the rest of us and said the heck with PC. BTW, I run into this “no habla engles” all the time. It’s a commonly used excuse by the invaders.

    • The__Bobster

      Errr, they’re illegal ALIENS!

  • dd121

The irony of our legal system is that if the perp is stupid enough, or crazy enough he gets the least punishment. What a country!

  • The__Bobster

Just have the brown stubby dragged to death.

  • The__Bobster

Mestizos are like billiard balls. The harder you hit them, the more English you get out of them.

  • The__Bobster

“No, I don’t believe it,” said Maloney. “In the past, he’s had other run-ins with the law. He’s been in court multiple times on other charges prior to all this in August 2011 and a Spanish interpreter or no interpreter was used for those hearings and he’s always managed just fine.”

Yes, the Mojados are so law-abiding and peaceful and are hiding in the shadows…..not!

  • mobilebay

When I heard this story on TV earlier today, I shook with rage. An innocent young man, an American citizen, was viciously murdered by this sub-human who doesn’t even belong in this country. I approve of the death penalty in this case. Can’t be soon enough. Do our so called lawmakers care about this and the many other illegalswho commit horrible crimes in this country. How many called the victim’s family and offered their apologies for allowing this travesty to happen? They have blood on their hands.

  • Rhonda Goldberg

Poor thing. Just turn the poor lad loose into the population.

  • MekongDelta69

How ironic – everything in this (now) leftist country is translated into 5 Billion languages, but suddenly, the court system can’t find an interpreter for this illegal alien murderer.
(Wouldn’t want to ‘oppress’ the poor guy.)

And btw, I too have a “unique cultural background.”
    It’s called… Western Civilization.

  • Erasmus

This is why we have lynch mobs.

You know what to do, boys.

    • Stentorian_Commentator

In Massachusetts? Good luck with that. If they haven’t offed Charles Jaynes (mulatto-looking negro who strangled a 10 year old Cambridge, MA white boy to death, then raped the dead body), then I’m guessing Guaman skates.

      • TeutonicKnight67

There is no form of capital punishment that could be used to adequately dispose of that barbarous animal.I can certainly think of a few ways to prolong its earthly agony though.

  • Erasmus

Pedro there is a big reason why no matter how many big names sign on to amnesty, including the Zucker-rhoid and Steve Jobs’ widow, most Americans are NEVER going to buy it.

    • Bill

But NBC news tonight says 65% of Americans are FOR a path to citizenship and amnesty. Do you think they are lying???? (answer: if they are breathing, they are lying).

      • Paleoconn

Brought to you from the network who reworked the 911 George Zimmerman tape.

        • nobody

FOX edited out videos of Ron Paul supporters cheering loudly and waving their signs during the televised 2012 debates. Not to mention using lies and fake polls to convince America he had no chance when he had a strong base of support in every state in this country. It isn’t just the whacko liberal media outlets that peddle lies they all do.

  • Ronald

One can only wonder whether or not double talking politicians, high paid taxpayer funded defense lawyers, and agenda driven Government judges would be capable of understanding the wrong they are doing to the extent of being able to assist their lawyers were they tried for the offense of wasting hard earned taxpayer money in the manner they do?

  • StillModerated

A cultural thing, eh? My experience with squatties is that they consider drunk driving to be a hobby. That, and diddling their nieces.

    • Crystal Evans

True, they see nothing wrong with driving drunk. Even if they kill somebody. They just go back to Mexico until the heat dies down and then they come back.

    • Katherine McChesney

      Or their grandmothers.

      • StillModerated

There’s an awful lot of the latter in nearby Prince William County, said police spokeswoman Kim Chinn. I’m so glad I don’t live there, but it’s getting awfully hard to find an area rid of them.

    • Erasmus

Getting drunk is a cultural thing among squatties, same as rogering twelve year olds and being a grandmother by the time you’re 30. I dread the contribution they’re going to make to the US. It ain’t going to be a good one.

      • MBlanc46

But they’ll pick a lot of fruit and vegetables, slaughter a lot of animals, mow a lot of lawns, clean a lot of hotel rooms, and fry up a lot of breakfast specials.

  • a multiracial individual

Europe’s biggest problem is Islam, America’s biggest problem is Latin America.

  • NeanderthalDNA

they learn quickly enough from the Blacks…

    I don’t know nuffin!

“Illegal Immigrant in Milford Death Ruled Incompetent”.

Technically, they’re all incompetent but that doesn’t seem to be an impediment to crossing the border, buying beer, working for cash and collecting welfare benefits.

  • KittyAmerica

    How many more innocent?

  • thoughtcrime

Murder is punishable in Meh hee coo. He knows he did wrong. He’s just thumbing his nose at us. A lynch mob needs to storm the courthouse and settle it.

  • MBlanc46

He shouldn’t be here if he doesn’t understand the court process. His driving here should be taken as evidence that he understands our legal system.

  • Katherine McChesney

This pendejo shouldn’t have any legal rights. He should be beaten within an inch of his life and deported to his country.

  • IstvanIN

He killed an American. He should receive capital punishment. I am sure he would understand the rope and gallows.

    • Crystal Evans

I agree with you. He will probably get a short sentence and be deported after that. But he will be back.I can assure you of that.

  • Tom in MI

Mr. Denice was murdered by his own government.

    • IstvanIN

You are right. The first time he was picked up he should have been deported. The second time he was caught within the jurisdiction of the US he should have faced capital punishment, swift capital punishment. If we did that the illegal alien problem would have solved itself and Americans would be less likely to be murdered by these invaders.

  • Greg Thomas

“His unique cultural background” and language barrier” means he cannot stand trial, but it’s all systems go for amnesty!

    .

  • archer

Exactly, he was in court numerous times and wasn’t incompetent then, why now? Sounds like some leftist judge trying to screw whitey again.

  • Token Finn

My mexican spanish teacher said, in no obscure words, that mexicans like seeing gore, violence and fatal accidents, while whites are disturbed and scarred by it. However, he cannot bring himself into admitting the racial aspect of it. The very same night, he slipped in some PC-talk about racist whites, which seems to show his true colours. Hostile witnesses add to our arguments.

  • Paleoconn

Willie Horton redux. How sweet it would be for this judge to be run down by a drunk.

  • Paleoconn

If he’s incmpetent, he should be deported.

  • HamletsGhost

How long has this person been in the USA? It doesn’t take long for most immigrants to learn passable English, usually less than a year.

Liberals at work again. Arguing that these ill…..er……undocumented workers will integrate just fine into the US culture, even spice it up with some Latin flavor, but when they get arrested for killing people, suddenly can’t manage a easy-to-learn language like English.

Heads they win, tails we lose.

  • C. C. Conrad

Ya know, back in the old days when there was NO law or a legal system that failed the people, the local people took care of such matters themselves.

  • evilsandmich

I day dream about what would happen to slime like this in places such as China. No doubt he would disappear down some black hole, never to be seen again (except perhaps his organs inside some party official).

  • Anna Tree

“His unique cultural background” and language barrier” means he cannot stand trial.

In Europe they said the same for muslim rapists.

  • Who Me?

This murderous Illegal can communicate well enough to obtain a car, and apparently have somewhere to go, and callously kill another motorist, so he can communicate well enough to stand trial. All he needs to do is be present and hear the judge say “guilty” (in whatever language). After that I would be all for deporting him back to whatever third-world hell hole he crawled out of–or swinging from a short rope tied to a tall tree.

  • MadMike

I guess they will blame the Sequester Cuts on this to…
