Detroit Police Round Up Trouble-Making Teens Downtown

Detroit police chased and captured members of a large group of teenagers who caused trouble in the downtown area Saturday night.

The teens were seen picking fights with people on the street. They also went into several business, frightening patrons and employees.

Workers at the American Coney Island said they were fearful for their safety when the teens came in and started throwing chairs around.

A large police presence in the downtown area responded, chasing the teens with cars and on foot.

Police tell Local 4 76 teenagers were taken into custody for questioning before being released to their parents. Eight others were detained for outstanding warrants. Police also questioned 5 adults in relation to the Saturday night antics.
