Eric Holder Set to Keep His Job Despite Gaffes over Petraeus and Fast and Furious

Hayley Peterson, Daily Mail (London), November 20, 2012

Attorney General Eric Holder is reportedly staying on in his position for at least another year past President Barack Obama’s first term, according to Fox News.

Obama had previously asked Holder to continue in his role beyond January and Holder accepted his request, but they did not specify a timeline, the Wall Street Journal had reported earlier.

There was some uncertainty as to whether Holder would stay on in the administration after he told a college audience in Baltimore earlier this month that he had not made up his mind on the matter.

‘Do I think that there are things that I still want to do? Do I have some gas left in the tank?’ he mused.

Holder was under fire last week as questions emerged over why he did not tell Obama that ex-CIA Director David Petraeus was having an affair with his biographer, Paual Broadwell.

Holder was told by the FBI that they were investigating the relationship between the director of the CIA and Paula Broadwell in late summer, but he appears not to have shared the information with anyone else.

The president did not find out about the scandal until after the election, just two days before Petraeus resigned, even though senior officials had apparently been aware of it for months.

Holder was also under fire in July, when the Republican-controlled House of Representatives charged him with contempt of Congress over the ‘Fast and Furious’ gun-running scandal.

The charges were a reaction to Holder’s refusal to turn over to lawmakers all of the Justice Department documents they demanded on the botched gun-tracking operation.

Republicans questioned how much the Justice Department — and the White House — knew about the operation, which allowed U.S. guns to be moved into Mexico in hopes of tracking them to drug traffickers.

The operation backfired when at least one of those guns was used to kill a U.S. Border Patrol agent in 2010.

The White House denied any involvement in the program.

I bet Eric Holder kept his job because he knows where certain skeletons are buried.

  • Holder should face charges of treason from the next administration.

It’s a nice thought, but the direction our country has taken proves it will never happen. Heck, even if Romney would have won, he and the Republicans would still not have pursued such action against Holder.

Ed Meese was attacked by the scuzzy press while he was in office, Harding’s AG, Harry Daugherty was also savaged by guttersnipe reporters and their political puppetmasters. Turnabout is fair play.

  • It’s not content of character.

I can’t believe it. To all those who voted for this evil bunch of thuggish “suits” you will live to regret what you’ve done especially you self loathing “crackers” and unfortunately your “little babies”. Samir Shabazz must be experiencing a huge tingle up his leg. What a resumé EH has: Fast and Furious no consequences, Voter intimidation no prosecution, “Kill crackers and kill their little babies” no prosecution.

It never was about ‘content of character.’ Blacks liked to use that phrase because they knew that one’s personal character and morals is important to Whites. They knew that Whites would respect the concept, and they exploited it for all it was worth. But it was never important to the overwhelming majority of Blacks – and every major city in America with a large population of Blacks had proven it.

“Incompetent” is now the new enwerd.

      FWORD is the new n-word.

  • Of course Holder wants to keep his job, he’s in the perfect position to create even more racial mayhem for this country then even Obama can.

How could 0bama run a communist regime without Eric Holder?

Someone has to institute the revenge that is coming — including the pleasure of rubbing Issa’s face in Holder for another four years.

  • Holder is keeping his job because El Presidente likes to rub white people’s faces in manure. Never forget that Holder publicly stated that white people have no enforceable civil rights.

    • bluffcreek1967

I think that’s very true. If Obama were to fire or replace Holder, it would be a visible admission of some sort that many Whites were right in their criticism of him. Obama can’t have any of that. He wants to rub our White noses in it.

What is happening is what any grownup would expect with a black head of state. Incompetence bad economy and of course no respect for rule of law. Any of us that have had to deal with black managers at work are not surprised.Name on black head of state that ever practised rule of law. Remember this is the guy who publicly stated he wanted a police force that was as strong as our military . tanks, fighter jets , nukes (that was loyal to him not the constitution.
Well he left off the last part but any grownup can read what he wants.

A black supremacist and criminal who lies pathologically is the perfect choice to administer “justice” in Barack Hussein Obama’s America.

The president did not find out about the scandal until after the
election, just two days before Petraeus resigned, even though senior
officials had apparently been aware of it for months.

Of course, during those months the president was either honing his bowling skills in the White House lanes, and attending fundraisers in Las Vegas. Emperor Caligubama, wanna play some bucketball?

I think he’s keeping his job because most rational fair-minded people recognize that the charges referred to in this piece were pretty bogus.
