Pinata Causing Controversy at University

Todd Starnes, Fox News, April 17, 2012

A Tennessee university is expressing regret after a photo surfaced showing a group of black boys hitting a piñata shaped like a white woman.

“We want to assure our community that no racial or gender animosity was intended,” a University of Memphis spokesman said in a statement provided to Fox News.

The photograph was taken during a luau sponsored by the University of Memphis Dept. of Residence Life and Dining Services. It showed a grade school student about to hit a Hula dancer piñata.

“The photograph taken out of context may be disconcerting, but we want to assure our community that no racial or gender animosity was intended,” the statement concluded.

However, that’s not how some students observed the activity. Some called it “reverse racism,” according to television station WMC.

“It didn’t look right, just because of the social climate we’re in right now,” university student Veronica Birmingham told WMC. ”How could somebody be so insensitive and not realize this might cause an issue?”

I think it’s admirable that these young men are receiving appropriate vocational training. One can never start too young.

Forget that.  Did you see the story that the Swedish Minister of Culture, Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth (who is as staunchly anti-racist PC as you’d imagine a Scandanavian culture minister to be), protested female genital mutilation with the cake pictured at:

  • Cue our good buddy establishment7 warning about people acting out their fantasies in three, two, one….

You know, If I had a little daughter, she would look just like that piñata!

All the kids swinging at it look like sons of Obama.

How absolutely RACIST  of you to notice!

    • IstvanIN

      No she wouldn’t, Rocko!

She “could” as my Irish mother had reddish hair. My Irish father had black hair FYI.

  • I wonder what would happen if the woman had been Hawaiian?

Why is this the least bit controversial? It was just a harmless audition for Obama’s long planned Civilian Diversity Army. Only racists would complain.

“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” -BarakHusseinObama

This is not a comedy skit, so stop laugh at it, all you filthy racist pigs. These aspiring Treyvons really are serious about being successful engineers, etc. When they get out of college, NASA will revive Space Shuttle missions-

It’s a well know FACT that after “Yacub” invented us, us being the white race, we set about stealing everything technological from the noble Africans. I bet you didn’t even know Aristotle and Plato were both black! Oh yeah your so ignorant, to not know that all of the underpinnings of western civilization were stolen straight from the black man. Hell we even killed off a winged tribe that used to fly around the pyramids. There is a “mother wheel” space ship that’s due any day now, to show up and “put things right”.  When the “mother wheel” is overhead, it will be a “dark” day for the honky crackers indeed.
Loui Fareecon teaches his followers much much more. The really cool thing is that he keeps a straight face while “educating” his followers, who do still show up in droves!

Beck and Fox rarely hesitate from showing the latest Farak hate rant.

But have you ever wondered why NOBODY

CNN would have a Special: Why the Black Doll was Lynched…doll self-esteem tests…’innocent’ black dools hanged…white doll privilege…’Barbie guilt’ …black dolls on sale…black dolls cost more…black dolls too light colored…too dark colored…No Doll justice no peace…I am the Doll…etc.

None of the nim-nodes associated with this story is asking the right question.

Someone had to go buy the pinata.  This would have been assigned to someone way low on the sponsoring agency’s totem poll.  Who was that person, and what was his or her motivation?  No one seems to have asked that question.  By the time the pinata was produced for the day of festivities, it was probably too late to exchange it, and no one, in the hurly-burly of events, thought enough to Magic Marker the pinata green.

IMHO, the pinata in the picture is too small for the size of the children’s group.  It is likely that the person who actually bought the pinata was in a hurry and had limited funds, and just bought the cheapest one he could.  Pinatas are not something the Department of Residence Life and Dining Services buys every day.

So, poof.  No big racial incident.

I think the real problem here is having the children hit a human form, of whatever race.

Finally, I don’t think persons with white sensibilities should be playing tit for tat with persons with black sensibilities.  Race Realism is not well serviced by playing ‘Gotcha.’

That there is a double standard for whites out there is a given.  It is important to get that message out there, although I think most whites, even liberal ones, know this.  What I object to is how so many of us revel in this, as if a claim of reverse victimhood accomplishes anything.  Let us rise above that.

“What I object to is how so many of us revel in this, as if a claim of reverse victimhood accomplishes anything.  Let us rise above that”.
‘Rise above that’? How about we rise at all and wake up and protest just one injustice that takes place against white. Just one, for once, one time.

It’s easy to see racism when you’re a pinata.

  • loyalwhitebriton

It’s all very well that the University apologise AFTER the event (and assuming they meant it), but the subliminal indoctrination has already taken place – white woman, stick, beat white woman with stick…

Although, of course, it could be argued that black males dont need any subliminal indoctrination in beating white women with sticks; just doing what comes natural.

  • whirlwinder

If I ran a university in an all black city, I certainly would not be hanging black pinata’s from the campus trees.
