Black Caucus: Tired of Making Excuses for Obama

Byron York, Washington Examiner, August 17, 2011

During a sometimes-raucous session of what’s being called the “For the People” Jobs Initiative tour, a key member of the Congressional Black Caucus told an audience in Detroit Tuesday that the CBC doesn’t put pressure on President Obama because he is loved by black voters. But at the same time, Rep. Maxine Waters said, members of the CBC are becoming increasingly tired and frustrated by Obama’s performance on the issue of jobs. Even as she expressed support for the president, Waters virtually invited the crowd to “unleash us” to pressure Obama for action.

“We don’t put pressure on the president,” Waters told the audience at Wayne County Community College. “Let me tell you why. We don’t put pressure on the president because ya’ll love the president. You love the president. You’re very proud to have a black man–first time in the history of the United States of America. If we go after the president too hard, you’re going after us.”

The problem, Waters said, is that Obama is not paying enough attention to the problems of some black Americans. The unemployment rate for African-Americans nationally is a little over 16 percent, and almost twice that in Detroit. And yet, Waters said, the president is on a jobs-promotion trip through the Midwest that does not include any stops in black communities. “The Congressional Black Caucus loves the president too,” Waters said. “We’re supportive of the president, but we’re getting tired, y’all. We’re getting tired. And so, what we want to do is, we want to give the president every opportunity to show what he can do and what he’s prepared to lead on. We want to give him every opportunity, but our people are hurting. The unemployment is unconscionable. We don’t know what the strategy is. We don’t know why on this trip that he’s in the United States now, he’s not in any black community. We don’t know that.”

Rush Limbaugh, who, like all lamestream conservatives, is usually pusillanimous on race, nailed it today on this matter — He said that Obama isn’t minding Maxine Waters nor taking his forsaken Romanian Ski Helmet bus tour to inner cities because, “why buy the cow when the milk is free?” IOW, Obama has the black vote, no matter what. One working class white voter in a swing state has more leverage than a whole Detroit zip code full of black voters over who is taking the oath on 1/20/13.

The Tea Party will become target # 1 for the Congressional Black Caucus, because angry Whiteys are making a difference.

Look for the viciousness in the 2012 campaign to bring out the worst of the Freedmen (best, from our RR perspective).

In Ga., the Repubs. actually did a good deed for White Humanity through redistricting. How long can the White Privilege trend continue.

We all know that White advances will be met with an overwhelming force that will roll them back. It might even happened quietly, such as through illegal immigration and illegal voting. Suddenly, all the White Gains will be gone and we will be a permanent Third World thugocracy.

So even though good news from Ga., we don’t expect to keep the gains. But for the moment, let’s celebrate and rejoice that the blacks are complaining about resegregation. Something good must have happened!

The votes in the House and Senate were almost wholly along party lines and followed hours of debate. Democrats said Republicans are “re-segregating” the state. Republicans, who are the majority in the Legislature, said they greatly improved on the process since Democrats last controlled it 10 years ago.

Tell me why would any sane black person assume that a Black president would benefit blacks. Has any country or municipality been found to be better for blacks when a black person was in charge. I have heard that many blacks prefer that their boss was white rather than black.

“For the People” Jobs Initiative tour

More co-opting of the White man’s ideals.

Of course, they deliberately misnamed this tour. What they wanted to call is was the ‘For the BLACK People’ Job Initiative tour.

They just wanted the facade of inclusion.

Any flagrant show of face to a raucous black community would further polarize this President from the electorate.

Hey Maxine, the CBC’s choosing to not “put pressure” on the president because he’s black is as racist as another choosing to “put pressure” on the president because he is black.

The fact that a sitting congressperson can matter of factly complain that a US president isn’t doing enough for one sect of the population above the rest is a testament to how far off the rails we are as a country.

Nobody in the media even bats an eye.

That video is hilarious! It’s like a kindergarten class with the AA teacher trying to sound smart and stay in control while

the “students” get all excited and blab incoherently. What is it about the black race and impulse control?

    Quoting Maxine;

“We TIED!!! We TIED, y’all!!!” (Ebonics for ‘tired’).

Just a snippet of black church behavior; hollering ghettospeak, repeatedly being interrupted with affirmative yelling, “sho-nuff!”, “Aahh ya go!” “At’s ratt!”

One or two in a group of whites can manage to control their inhibitions, but put more than two together and they turn Black with a capitol B in a heartbeat.

Just this week the Congressional Black Caucus held a job fair for blacks in Atlanta, sponsored by Ms. Waters, John Lewis and Hank ‘Guam will tip over’ Johnson.

Isn’t that blatantly illegal? Oh, that’s right. Never mind.

Rep. Maxine Waters said, members of the CBC are becoming increasingly tired and frustrated by Obama’s performance on the issue of jobs.

    This is a joke, right?

Hey Maxine, look in the mirror if you want to see why the “unemployment rate for African-Americans nationally is a little over 16 percent, and almost twice that in Detroit.”

Numbers USA has given you a career grade of F including a grade of F- on “reducing illegal jobs and presence.”

But, in the end, you’ll continue to tell blacks that their biggest threat comes from racist whites.

Maxine Waters? Thought she would be in jail by now:

Looks like Congressional Democrats are trying to bury the charges. The MSM is not interested in the corruption of African-American politicians. But it’s a ripe topic, and would make a great book.

  • WR the elder

Obama and all the liberal blacks in congress want illegal aliens to get the jobs. Surely this isn’t news to anyone.

  • Jane

The only personal satisfaction I get from Obama being elected president is, the people who voted for him are getting screwed the most.

It is the president’s job to create employment and cater to a specific group of people?

I thought this was a “post racial president?”

This is the part here which truly shows how Waters views America.

We want to give him every opportunity, but our people are hurting.

She wouldn’t be talking about in Americans in general would she, nope her people are Blacks..Not Americans
