The settlement resolves allegations that Lockheed discriminated against white employees in performance assessments, bonuses and other compensation decisions. The agreement requires the company to make hiring, pay and promotion decisions without considering race or sex. The commission may review its compliance during the agreement.

The DOJ alleged that Lockheed considered race when awarding additional raises through its “Compensation Adder” program, which began in 2021. Managers initially nominated employees based on performance, but some human resources personnel later pressured leaders to remove white employees and add minority employees to address statistical disparities, the department alleged.
They also alleged that the company considered race or sex in hiring and promotion decisions and restricted access to certain mentoring, training and leadership programs based on those characteristics.
