Migrant Caravan on ‘Faith and Hope’ Journey Toward US Border
Mackenzie Chase, Washington Examiner, October 21, 2026
Hundreds of migrants are traveling on foot through southern Mexico with hopes of making it into the United States.
The caravan of migrants, predominantly from Central America, is on what some have called a “faith and hope” journey, according to a video posted by Reuters on Tuesday. In the video, men, women, and families with children were seen traveling through Mexico.
One man wore a Honduras flag around his back while pushing a young girl in a pink stroller.
Two men were shown holding a banner reading, “Fe y esperanza emigrar no es delito,” which translates to “Faith and hope: migrating is not a crime.” The countries El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras were also written on the banner.

The migrants began their journey a month ago, and their trek comes at a pivotal time in the U.S. with the midterm elections.
