‘60 Minutes’ Attempted to Run Cover for a Deported Illegal Alien – The Sob Story Crumbled in a Matter of Hours

Case in point: On Sunday, CBS News’ “60 Minutes” official X social media account posted a sob story about a “Texas father … with no criminal record” who was detained by federal immigration authorities and then deported.

The post on X portrayed the man, Moussa Diawara, as someone “who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years” and who’d merely been “finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him.”

Federal immigration agents then deported the man to Ghana, from where he was later “sent to his home country” of Mali. {snip}

First and foremost, Diawara was “NOT” just a Texas father, ICE noted in a scathing post published to X in response to the “60 Minutes” sob story.

“He is an ILLEGAL ALIEN from Mali with a final order of removal from a judge, who said he’s homosexual in order to dodge deportation – despite having a wife and two kids at home,” ICE’s post continued.
