A 23-year-old man is in custody after Metro Nashville Police say he shot and killed a coworker at the U-Haul store on Annex Avenue following a verbal argument.
Devin Rice was taken into custody Wednesday after the shooting. On Tuesday, officers arrived at the store to find 56-year-old Fredrick Lytton suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Lytton did not survive.
Police say Rice admitted to getting into an argument with Lytton, his coworker, over a drink. Rice then allegedly pulled out a pistol and fired multiple shots before fleeing the store. Crime tape surrounded the U-Haul location through the evening Tuesday as investigators processed the scene.
