Linehan—a 28-year-old coach who represented St. Louis Synergy and Team USA and won a silver medal at the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships—was shot and killed at a Starbucks drive-thru on Tuesday in St. Louis, Missouri.
According to Fox, citing the state Department of Corrections and court records, the suspect in the case—Keith Lamon Brown—was previously sentenced to 30 years in prison in 1996 for robbery and armed criminal action. The outlet said he was released on parole in July 2020 but absconded—meaning he broke the terms of his release.
