ICE Agents Confirmed to Attend Miami’s Club World Cup Matches as Ticket Sales and Prices Plummet

THE Club World Cup is off to a dreadful start with ticket prices plummeting for the early games.
Tickets for the opening game in Miami started at around $350 but fell as low as $20 ahead of game time.
The announcement that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents would be present at the games in Miami appears to have been a primary driver of the price drop.
“Let the games begin,” the government agency said in a now-deleted Facebook post.
“The first #FIFAClubWorldCup games start on June 14th in Miami, FL at the Hard Rock Stadium.
“CBP will be suited and booted ready to provide security for the first round of games.”
While the post was deleted, ICE has continued to spread its message about attending the games.
The agency told Miami NBC affiliate WTVJ that all non-American citizens need to carry proof of their legal status.

Ticket prices had already been dropping for the event, but there was a drastic decline after the news came of ICE’s involvement.
Some fans went so far as to sell their tickets out of fear of the government agency.
