CNN Hears About Ferguson and Floyd Effects for First Time

This might be the first mention of the “Ferguson and Floyd Effects” in the national press:

Some academics proposed the Minneapolis Effect as a geographic name to go with the Ferguson Effect, but Minneapolis is famous for a number of things, so the Minneapolis Effect sounds like it might have something to do with Prince or Prairie Home Companion or cold winters in a big city city or whatever. I went with Ferguson and Floyd for the alliteration.
