Group of Teens Beat and Rob Two Victims on Loop Red Line

A group of teenagers beat and robbed a Red Line passenger in the Loop late Sunday night. Then, they beat and robbed a man who tried to help the first victim, police said.
A third victim was beaten and robbed by two men on a different Red Line train near the Chicago-State station around the same time.

The offenders took the victims’ wallets and other property before fleeing to street level.

Both victims were transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment of facial injuries, police said.
The offenders are reportedly black and 17-18 years old.
Third Red Line attack
Two men beat and robbed a Red Line passenger in River North just minutes before the Loop subway robbery was reported.

Police said the offenders are one Hispanic man and one black man in their late teens or early 20’s. Both wore black clothing, and both stand about six-feet tall.
