Ethnic Diversity is a ‘Weakness, Not a Strength,’ Danish Study Says

Ethnic diversity in multicultural societies brought on by mass-migration is “not a strength but a weakness,” according to a Danish study.

The study was conducted by professors at the University of Copenhagen and Aarhus University in Denmark.

Researchers looked investigated whether “continued immigration and the corresponding growing ethnic diversity” have positive impacts on social unity, cohesion, and togetherness.

In short, the study found that “continued immigration and corresponding growing ethnic diversity” exerts the exact opposite effect on society.

The results mean that it undermines and degrades social cohesion, unity, and togetherness.

Researchers found that there was a “statistically significant negative relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust across all studies.”

The results of the study were determined following a meta-analysis of 1,001 estimates from 87 studies from Western countries.

One of the study’s main researchers, Peter Thisted Dinesen wrote:

“To be clear, the overall negative relationship between residential ethnic diversity and social trust is statistically significant and holds up when conditioning on a range of potential confounders and moderators.”

“Extant studies have relatively consistently reported a significant negative relationship between neighborhood-level ethnic diversity and various forms of social trust,” the researchers note.

Other researchers from various Western universities have lauded the study.

Professor of political science at the University of Amsterdam and author of the book “It’s not the voter who is crazy,” Tom var de Meer, describes the study as “excellent and conclusive.”

The professor of politics at Birkbeck University of London, Eric Kaufmann, has also backed the study’s findings, saying:

“Higher diversity is significantly associated with lower trust in communities, even when controlling for deprivation.”

The study’s findings run counter to the universal narrative constantly being pushed by the establishment media, at schools and universities, and by EU bureaucrats – that “diversity is a strength.”
