Ben & Jerry’s Remixes Ice Cream for Social Justice

N. Jamiyla Chisholm, Color Lines, September 4, 2019

{snip} Ben & Jerry’s partnered with the Advancement Project National Office to introduce a new flavor called Justice ReMix’d. The limited-edition pint was created “to spotlight structural racism in a broken criminal legal system,” according to an emailed statement.

Made with chocolate ice cream, cinnamon bun dough, and spicy fudge brownies, the new flavor was presented by B&J founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield in Washington, D.C. {snip}

A portion of the proceeds from each pint will go to the Advancement Project’s Free and Safe campaign, which centers transformative, community-led solutions for ending the criminalization and mass incarceration of people of color.
