California Looks to Ban Confederate Flag

Johnny Kampis, Fox News, August 27, 2014

California is looking to bar the “Stars and Bars.”

A bill sits on Gov. Jerry Brown’s desk to ban California from displaying or selling the Confederate flag or objects with images of it. The state’s Legislature passed the bill nearly unanimously last week.

{snip}

The lone dissenting vote among the 67 cast was from former California GOP gubernatorial candidate Tim Donnelly of Twin Peaks. He argued the bill would infringe on free speech.

“I’m a strict Constitutionalist,” he told the Times. “It’s painful and lonely.”

    Confederate Flag – NO

    Illegal Aliens – SI

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Exactly. Leftist Governor Jerry Brown needs to buy a house in the middle of a Hispanic Barrio, as this is obviously what he wants CA to become. His disrespect for the contributions of White Southern settlers to CA, and the West in general, is inexcusable.

      • NoMosqueHere

California peaked in the early to mid 1960s. It’s been downhill ever since.

        • SoCal88

It’s still all of those things, but it is being slowly dragged under and drowned by its Cultural Marxist governor and legislature, and the Great Hispanic Invasion and Fertility Rate.

        • 1G25

Same could be said for America in general.

    • IBWHITE

I’ll bet they have no problem with some lefty hoisting up a communist flag either.

      • AndrewInterrupted

        The Left invented hypocrisy.

      • icetrout

here in Maryland( Lil’Cali ) there’s a Catholic Church with a Flag of Red China flying … Godless communist havefound a home with the Catholic Church…

  • Puggg

The lone dissenting vote among the 67 cast was from former California GOP gubernatorial candidate Tim Donnelly of Twin Peaks. He argued the bill would infringe on free speech. “I’m a strict Constitutionalist,” he told the Times. “It’s painful and lonely.”

He voted the right way for sure, but what does strict constitutionalist have to do with anything here? Did the people who wrote this law and voted for it do it just because they had a fancy one day to run roughshod over the constitution just for the hell of it? The real reason is anti-white, the hatred of white people.

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Hopefully, he is trying to frame this in a politically correct way so he can be heard. Still, this is no excuse. Public figures need to stand up for what is right and just. Politicians who do care about people need to boldly speak the truth.

  • ZB01

That presupposes a population that understands (and values!) the extent of the First Amendment. Look at the demographics in California: It will pass.

    • Tim_in_Indiana

Exactly. The Constitution: It’s a White thing; you (Mestizos) wouldn’t understand.

      • cherrie greenbaum123

Right, freedom of speech, right to assembly, who needs that boring azz YT sheeyat? And we can all agree that knowing how to read, write, and do math is soooooooo acting white and therefore not coo.

        • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Exactly the mentality of Blacks/a huge portion of Mestizoes. Yet, the Mexican flag and even the anti-White hate of LaRaza are given license by Leftist Jerry Brown.

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Precisely. California is rapidly becoming a demographic extension of South America. Mexicans are allowed to fly Mexican flags, and have LaRaza rallies, which are nothing but Hate Whitey Mestizo KKK rallies. As if their anti-White hatred isn’t enough, they have blessed CA with a porous Southern border through the infiltration of the border patrol with guards who are on the take with South American drug kingpins, ensuring that the flow of illegal, mind altering drugs into CA and the rest of our states is unabated. Compare this to the legacy of Oklahoma dust bowl migrants. An influx of hard working, Christian farm workers who became the backbone of the CA farm industry. They brought hard work, family values, and resourcefulness, yet the flag which represents their heritage is somehow offensive. The Leftist mind is a place devoid of logic, respect, or common decency.

    • It will pass, but will instantly be overturned in federal court on Second Amendment grounds.

      • brior

        Typo … 1st

  • JSS

Sounds about right. The stars and bars are to be banned yet public “slut walks” and the Mexican flag are sacred in California. Reason number 50 billion why this nation for which California is a microcosim needs to be flushed down the toilet. This union wasn’t worth preserving in the 1860s and it isn’t now.

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Absolutely. Time for secession of our red county areas. Northern CA as the 51’st state, the new state of Jefferson, sounds really good right now!!

    • Epiminondas

This is the “stars and bars”. The Confederate flag that gets the lefties upset is the “Naval Jack”. I recently was in California and wore a t-shirt with the stars and bars on the front. Nobody even paid me any attention. They thought it was an early flag from the Revolutionary War era. This nation is ignorant of its own history. Sad stuff.

  • Mason Gull

They’re only banning state institutions from selling it. Private individuals and businesses will still be free to display and sell it.

    • JohnEngelman

      I hope that is true.

      • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

I hope so as well. Does that mean you will fly the Stars and Bars proudly at your house John? If you want to read about a good old Jewish Southern Boy who was a Southern Tobacco farmer and strong segregationist, I recommend reading about the late Louie Goldstein of Maryland. He was a tobacco farmer from Southern Maryland, and state comptroller in MD for many years.

        • JohnEngelman

I have no use for the Confederate flag, but I am opposed to a law prohibiting the private display of it.

          • anony

The public display of it is free speech.

        • Judah P. Benjamin was the Confederate Secretary of War and later Secretary of State, and had earlier been a US senator.

        • Katherine McChesney

The Confederate Flag is beautiful. Long may it fly.

      • brior

        AB 2444, Hall.
        Confederate flag: sales: government property.
Existing law regulates the sale of certain merchandise, including political items and sports memorabilia.
        This
bill would prohibit the State of California from selling or displaying
the Battle Flag of the Confederacy, or a similar image, or tangible
personal property inscribed with those images, unless the image appears
in a book, digital medium, or state museum that serves an educational or
        historical purpose.

    • Adolf Verloc

That’s pretty much what I had seen on another source. The law would also ban sales of Confederate flag items at events such as the California State Fair. Probably no First Amendment issues.

  • JohnEngelman

It is uncertain from the news story if the Confederate flag is only banned from public property, or if it is also banned from private property and to private ownership.

If the latter is the case, the ACLU should be asked to defend private display of the Confederate flag. It should be exposed as hypocritical if it refuses.

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Most definitely. I can’t see a ban from private property. That would just be stupid. Would they fine people as punishment? After all, we are not talking about a Swastika flag. We are talking about a Southern Heritage symbol, after all, not a hate flag. I expect to see a Mexican flag at a Mexican restaurant. The Confederate Flag is based on the Scottish Saltaire, and is a heritage flag.

      • Periapsis

They don’t have to, darkies will burn people’s houses down or otherwise commit violence against whites who display it on private property. Sooner or later, it will be outlawed altogether unless we find a way to fight back in the courts, or forge a new homeland.

  • ZB01

Mr. Donnelly, a good man as far as I can tell, unsuccessfully attempted to secure the Republican nomination for governor of California against a certain incumbent, one Jerry Brown. That was earlier this year. The Party didn’t back him; instead throwing its (moribund) support behind a certain Kashkari, who certainly doesn’t resemble any California I know of growing up, nor does he seem to reflect any platform Republican principles, the single exception being from an economic point of view. I’ll leave you all to learn about Mr. Kashkari if you are so inclined.

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Donnelly certainly is a good Celtic name. Maybe he has Anglo-Celtic Southern roots, possibly forebears who trekked from Oklahoma to CA during the dust bowl.

  • none of your business

Think I’ll go to one of the dixie sites and buy several in different sizes.
Here’s a fact about jerry brown or governor gollum. I call him that because he looks like gollum now that he is completely bald. It was told to me by his sister Cynthia with whom I was friends when I lived in San Francisco.

He wet his bed until he was 16 years old.

    • ZB01

I’m no fan of Jerry Brown—by any stretch of the imagination—but assuming that what you’re saying is true, might it not be a little mean to mention it at all? He’s well beyond 16 now!

      • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Why would that be mean? I think it is mean of Jerry Brown to disrespect the heritage of Californians with Southern roots. I wonder if Jerry Brown has ever read The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck? He is crassly disrespecting the heritage of the Oklahoma Dustbowl migrants.

      • tlk244182

It’s mean to make fun of the mentally retarded, though in Gov. Brown’s case, I’m willing to make a rare exception.

  • none of your business

mulitracial individual. The bill already passed and is on the governor’s desk ready for signing. It could be overturned I suppose, but Californians are not all that interested in the
    lost cause.

  • If I lived in California I would wear a confederate flag t shirt and allow myself to be arrested, after bringing in the news media to tape it and show it on the news.

Any white male in Mexifornia with enough gonads to do it?

    • ZB01

I’m half black, and I’d do it. God knows that Whites have gone way, way, way, way, way above and beyond the “call of duty” for all other people, especially blacks….time to return the favor! (and wearing a shirt is essentially only a small gesture).

      • lionel1130

Do you plan to wear it in the black section of town?

      • Garrett Brown

Don’t go getting yourself killed little mulatto.

        • Usually Much Calmer

          Perhaps he is big.

          • Garrett Brown

Oh yes, because being big helps you in fights!

          • Usually Much Calmer

You called him ‘little’ and his size is unknown.

          • Garrett Brown

If he’s a mulatto he most likely is small. You implying size helps you in a fight means you don’t really know much at all about fighting.

          • Usually Much Calmer

            I implied no such.

          • Garrett Brown

I guess you don’t know what you implied.

          • Usually Much Calmer

            You must be right.

    • ZB01

Actually, the arrested part, I’d pass on…Never been arrested; want to stay that way. There’s enough representation in the jails already, if you know what I mean.

    • Bon, From the Land of Babble

Given the level of intelligence and mis-education here, I doubt one in 10 know what a Confederate Flag is, let alone what it stood for.

    • LACountyRedneck

I wouldn’t have a problem wearing one often if all I had to worry about was the local government. You walk around a corner and the wrong negroes see you, you better be able to run fast. No CCW’s here. You should feel fortunate to get arrested for it before some savages get to you.

      • Xerxes22

There have been a few cases of Whites being attacked by Blacks for wearing a British flag emblem on their clothing. It seems that some Blacks cannot tell the difference between the Confederate battle flag and the Union Jack.

        • silviosilver

God could not design a more retarded race than blacks if he tried.

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Same here. On what grounds could they arrest someone?? It is legal to wear a Nazi uniform in public. Throughout most of rural America, Confederate Flag shirts and hats are commonplace, as are window stickers in vehicles.

      • Alexandra1973

I’m in Ohio and lots of people around here have Confederate flag license plates in their windows. (Ohio requires front plates.)

        • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Tons of rebel flags around these parts as well. All of Ohio South of Canton and East of Columbus should push for secession. Columbus is run by the Leftists from Cleveland.

      • anony

Pennsylvania, outside of Killadelphia, displays many CBFs. Also, you can find many in Ireland and other parts of Europe especially Eastern Europe.

I think the CBF has almost become a universal symbol of rebellion against the established order.

        • AndrewInterrupted

I’m hoping the Scots break free from the U.K. and start holding their demographic ground. Then maybe Ireland could follow.

          • anony

The Scots are very pc at this point. That can always change. England, on the other hand, appears to be making noises about moving toward “self-awareness”.

      • SoulInvictus

“Same here. On what grounds could they arrest someone?”

Oh, it’s coming to be sure.
You could ask that same question about how merely discussing certain things in Europe can land you in prison…

  • Luca

Oh yes, the Confederate flag would be a big issue for California. It’s a painful reminder to all those Mexicans, women, Jewish and Gay slaves who picked cotton along with the black slaves. What? You haven’t read the latest revisionists’ history book?

Oh yes! And it was black union members and community organizers from the North who finally freed all those slaves from all those evil White, Christian, heterosexual males..

    • lionel1130

I think you mean black Union soldiers, Jewish Union soldiers, gay Union soldiers, Hispanic Union soldiers and women like Clarissa Harlowe Barton who founded the Red Cross and took care of the Union soldiers.

      • Luca

No, in a revisionist’s America it is union members not Union soldiers who saved us

      • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

I’m sure there are more than a few Sons of Confederate Veterans in CA. They need to do a flagging in Sacramento.

  • Long Live Dixie

Are there even any Confederate flags in California?

    • model1911

Dang son, you didn’t know that Montgomery California was one of the capitals of the Confederacy?

      • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Very cool!! I hope that Montgomery residents do a flagging in Sacramento.

      • Garrett Brown

That’s pretty hilarious. He prides himself in being THE advocate for the south on this site.

        • Long Live Dixie

You know that model1911 is joking, right?

      • Katherine McChesney

Did you know that Bakersfield, California was once home of the largest KKK group in the nation?

        • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

I’ve heard that too. As long as they focus on that most important “K”, the good old Klan is good to have around.

    • neverevrland

There’s one in a guys garage around the corner from me. It’s big and anyone driving by can see it when he has the door open.

      • Ringo Lennon

Yeah! I see a Mexican rag when this Greasers garage door is open.

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

A lot of the pioneers were Southerners. The huge dust bowl migration was Oklahomans. I would think that the descendants of dust bowl migrants would take offense to a ban of a flag representing their heritage.

      • Long Live Dixie

Yes, of course I know that California has some Southern history. I’m asking about California today.

    • freddy_hills

There were when I lived there. I had a flag vanity plate on my car and a 3×5 foot flag hanging on the wall of my living room.

  • cherrie greenbaum123

Yes, California leading our nation once more I their continual fight to rid our nation of the last vestiges of free speech and Constitutional rights.

  • Bon, From the Land of Babble

“No Californian should be exposed to the type of hate or threat of violence caused by the image of the American flag,”

    Oh, the horror!!

As a Californian I, for one am certainly GLAD Assemblyman Hall…SOMEONE…is dealing with this vitally important state issue – far more important than California’s stagnant economy, water shortages, failing schools, shrinking tax base and massive number of dependent illegals and welfare recipients.

I am grateful the government is protecting me from having to ever have to lay eyes again on such a violent, hateful imagine.

Better to replace Confederate flags – and the California flag – with that of a hammer and sickle.

  • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Absolutely disgusting display of Leftist, anti-White genocide against White cultural symbols. Massachusetts or Vermont would be one thing. From California, this is inexcusable!! Many White Southerners contributed to the development of California. The huge numbers of farmers leaving Oklahoma for a new life after their farms were destroyed by the dust bowl, making the brave wagon trek across the parched West for a better life in California, as well as White Southerners who took part in the Gold Rush, and pioneers in general. The West was settled by Southerners and Northerners alike, Whites of modest means but strong character seeking a better life. Banning the Confederate Flag in California disrespects the memories of these brave and resourceful settlers. A person with ancestors from Oklahoma should feel free to fly a Confederate Flag at their California homestead without having their brave ancestors disrespected. Every Californian with an ancestor who came during the dustbowl needs to march on the capital in Sacramento with a handsome Confederate Battle Flag in hand.

  • MoMo

I always thought that Californians were more concerned about mining for gold than it was the war between the states. I’m surprised that Californians know what any flag is other than the Mexican flag? After all don’t more people in California speak Spanish than English?

    MoMo

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

The West symbolized freedom for Whites from both the North and South of modest means.

      • Periapsis

Now California isn’t called Commiefornia for nothing. Maybe they should start flying this instead of the Stars and Bars.

  • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Absolutely disgusting!! Some people are beyond reason. Those rednecks he spewed ire for made the South great. Did you ask him why he wasn’t living in a Black neighborhood in Atlanta?? He wouldn’t have to worry about rednecks or Confederate flags there. I’m a Northern redneck myself, display my Confederate Flag proudly in my yard, as do many in my area.

    • LACountyRedneck

      Bravo you, fellow redneck.

    • SFLBIB

Well, I give him credit for “loving it or leaving.”

  • antiquesunlight

I don’t think we lost much when he left…

    • Nancy

The so-called “southern rednecks” are the ONLY thing we’ll miss when we move out of GA in May. My neighborhood is especially “redneck” and has lots of “good ol’ boys” as heads of household. The handful of vibrants living here keep a low profile, and especially avoid the pool and tennis courts.

At least for now. I’m afraid what it’ll be like in another 5-10 years, which is why we’re leaving now (avoid the rush).

  • kjh64

The American stars and strips flew over slavery much longer than the Confederate flag ever did.

    • Ringo Lennon

Secession was a poison over the country costing over half a million lives.

      • Paleoconn

Northern aggression caused the 600,000 deaths

        • Ringo Lennon

Secession caused it. You can argue day and night on this.

          • Paleoconn

            Lincoln’s tyranny caused it.

          • Ringo Lennon

            Davis’ traitorism caused it.

          • Paleoconn

Explain how Davis caused it. Lincoln wanted to crush the south

          • Ringo Lennon

            Lincoln wanted to stop secession.

          • Alexandra1973

Actually, the war between the states was fomented, there were agitators and shills on both sides. Order out of chaos. What we got out of this was the (not really ratified) 14th Amendment, which turned the States into provinces.

  • Ringo Lennon

Jared Taylor seems overly obsessed with the confederate flag.

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

He lives in Northern VA, an area of Southern Heritage where Southerners are being dispossessed by non-Whites and Leftists from NYC and Massachussetts. There is also the inflection of an old fashioned Virginia Gentleman in his speech.

    • LHathaway

I agree. Sorry, but my ancestors fought on the side of the Union.

      • freddy_hills

Mine didn’t. As long as you don’t bash my heritage I won’t bash yours.

      • 1G25

My ancestors lived in Europe when the war of Northern Aggression was raging. Had they been here, they probably would have been Copperheads.

    • 1G25

You seem overly obsessed with statistics pulled out of your anus.

    • antiquesunlight

Overly obsessed with it? Has he ever even talked about it at all? I’ve only heard him talk about issues relevant to white people/white Americans in general.

      • Ringo Lennon

        My bad.

  • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

I wonder if Jerry Brown or any of the rest of these crooks trying to obscure free speech have read The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck?? I suspect not. They are disrespecting the descendants of families such as the Joad family. The Comfederate Flag symbolizes their Southern Heritage. These dust bowl migrants were too poor to own Slaves. They came to CA traveling in covered wagons across the scorching desert. They do not deserve to have their heritage disrespected.

    • Allan477

It’s been sixty years since I read THE GRAPES OF WRATH, but I don’t recall the Joad family coming from the South, and they definitely did not go to California in a covered wagon.
I horrified my eighth-grade English teacher by giving a book report on it. She really couldn’t say anything after I told her that I got it out of the bookcase in our living-room.

      • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

They were from Oklahoma, dust bowl migrants. I surely consider Oklahoma part of the South.

  • NoMosqueHere

Eventually they will ban the american flag too.

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

I could care less about The Stars and Stripes. To me, this flag represents tyranny. This is the flag of forced integration which disregarded the wishes of Whites, both North and South. My flag is The Confederate Flag.

      • 1G25

I’m sorry to say that I’m getting to be the same way. I used to get goose bumps upon hearing the National Anthem, and watching the flag ascend the staff.

Not any more. The fibre of this country has rotted. The South is my homeland, and Texas is my country.

    • Jack Burton

They already do at the local level. Whites can’t fly the flag or wear it on their shirts, it upsets immigrants.

The land of fruits and nuts strikes again. There was a time when people looked to what California did as it was a harbinger of things to come, and in those days, most of the things were positive, things that made the nation great. Aerospace, automotive, bridges, dams, irrigation, farming, higher learning, music, surfing, beaches. Idyllic times.

Nowadays, true patriotic Americans hear about something that happened in Calipornia and shrug and laugh, what can you do?

Love the Bonnie Blue; I fly it on Lee’s birthday.

  • LHathaway

I think this ban is just on the government displaying the flag. In a similar way, the government in California is prohibited from using affirmative action. Private companies and individuals are allowed to burnish the flag and use affirmative action to their hearts content.

  • none of your business

There’s no southern heritage in California. We were in the Union during the 1861-1865 war. In S. CAlifornia at least I think most of the Whites are russian persian armenian israeli and have no interest in the civil war The bill was proposed because last year a relative of a black assembly member went to the capitol gift shop and was offended by some items with the confederate battle flage on them.
Most people who read about it wondered why on earth confederate battle flag items were on sale in the state capitol gift shop. Although we did side with the Union, I don’t think the draft was ever enforced here and few volunteers went back east to join the federal forces.
It would have meant risking one’s life on a 2 month sea voyage around the dangerous tip
of S. America or going 3,000 miles on foot or horse back east. The civil war was never an issue in California

    • anony

At the Gettysburg battlefield gift shop, the Confederate memorabilia out-sell the Union stuff by ten to one according to the manager of the shop.

      • 1G25

Gettysburg was the only major battle of the War of Northern Aggression that was fought on Northern soil, and that was because it was part of an attempt by General Lee to swing around and threaten Washington from the north, to draw Union troops out of the South.

The war was an unadulterated illegal invasion of sovereign States, “state” being fungible with “country” in the Constitution.

        • anony

On the way to Gettysburg, he burned Chambersburg, Pa .

          • McCausland did that after demanding a ransom in gold, which was not paid. He was just a bandit, but the federals should have paid. Of course a fellow who says he will burn down a city really will do it. He said what he was going to do and then did it.

        • Shelling Ft. Sumter was a tragic blunder.

The confederate battle flag is the most beautiful flag in the world. It has 4 of the things that make something beautiful. First the X. Beautiful art needs something diagonal and the X has 2 diagonals. Second the spot were the 2 diagonals cross. That is a focal point. Beautiful anything needs a focal point. Lack of a focal point is what makes so many living rooms impossible to decorate. Third, perfect proportions and balance of the red areas between the X. Fourth the red, white and blue color scheme, perfection.

Next best is the israel flag, the blue and White color scheme and the 6 pointed star outline which is the most perfect design in existence. The blue stripes at top and bottom add just enough more elements so the star is the perfect size. Also the stripes make the israel flag well porportioned.

The US flag is one of the ugliest flags in the world. The red and White stripes are just garish and irritating. The blue square is in the wrong place and throws it off balance. The color scheme is perfect but the red and White stripes are ruinious. Another hideous flag is the German one, black and orange stripes.

    • Spikeygrrl

Thank you for sharing your infallible design aesthetic with the rest of us poor slobs. I can hardly wait until you redecorate my living room!

          I’m honored.

    • GB101

You are right about the stripes on the U.S. flag. Love my country and my flag, but its design is not attractive.

I also don’t like the national anthem. Impossible for most people to sing. (And of course the professionals (usually black) singers who perform at public events ruin it.) I prefer “Hail Columbia.” Love my country, and my anthem, but….

When I say “my country” I mean the United States of America, of course. But I also love the republic that my state was a part of for four years, its flag (flags, actually, as there were several), and its unofficial anthem, Dixie, and its many other wonderful songs, like The Bonnie Blue Flag.

Unconstitutional. We’ve been through this with crosses.

  • Epiphany Strachan

Who’s shocked by this? Remember when the cali school banned the US flag on cinco de mayo. California is a cesspool- I escaped from there a long time ago. The sooner it dehydrates the better.

  • SoCal88

This is a trial run in preparation for the main event – lowering the U.S. flag and the California flag and raising the flag of Mexico over the state capitol building.

    • 1G25

Fine with me, as long as that also means Texas tax money doesn’t go to Washington, get laundered, and then sent to California as “federal money.”

      Like it does now.

Let them have it. It’s getting ready to fall off the continent anyway.

The CBF is an echo of the Scottish Saltire. Not surprising given that many Southrons have Scots ancestry.

Also many of the Confederate States’ flags are echoes of the CBF, Florida’s flag being quite obviously one of them.

    • antiquesunlight

The idiots of the NAACP forced us to change our flag around 2000 because they said the use of the CBF was racist. Unfortunately, we caved in and changed. But the funny part is that the new flag is just a redesign of the old Georgia flag (before 1956) which was just the original CSA flag with Georgia symbols on it. I’m not sure how many blacks are aware that our state flag is the Stars and Bars flag of the Confederate States of America.

  • rockman

The Confederate flag is only a symbol of what is in a persons heart. If you try to beat it down by laws it will only reinforce the emotion. You can never out law it any more than they could out law the Christian religion. The more they tried the stronger it became

    • M&S

Of course a lot of Christians went to the cross or the leopards enroute…

      But hey, they’re only leopards.

It’s a symbol of white racial solidarity and sovereignty, it represents what any mentally healthy ethnic group wants, their own ethnostate that represents their interests.

  • Garrett Brown

Most Americans aren’t living in Mexifornia.

    • Periapsis

No, but Mexifornia had an inordinate influence on domestic policies in the nation as a whole, to the detriment of all white Americans.

  • ZB01

Of all people, I shouldn’t have to be the one who says this: But look, whether your ancestors were Union supporters, or Confederate supporters—they had a largely common ancestry, religion, and culture which hails from Europe. When they came to our shores, some trekked further in a northerly direction; others trekked further south (could happen to anyone). Who knows why…and who cares? At the end of the day, it is an intra-cultural variation; but the two must not be represented as foreign. The Southerner who can’t stand those Yankees–and vice versa–have everything essentially in common whereas the same cannot be said for “Francisquito Jose Conchito Martinez” from Jalisco, Mexico, who couldn’t tell you the difference between North and South to save his life. And who wants his culture to supplant yours—North and South.

    • Usually Much Calmer

I wish that were true, but I don’t believe it is.

      • M&S

Enough of it has to be true that when the time for separation and secession comes we do not end up facing dying white culture trying to hasten our exiting of this world along by holding another ‘togetherness rally’ called Civil War Deux.

If enough whites in the North cannot stand the principle of Federalism as the driving “I wanna control EVERYTHING!” motive for preventing what I hope is an inevitable fracturing of this union into ethnostate divisions, it will greatly hamper the logistics of force movements of those States which are still under the delusion that this is ‘One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all’.

The big question then becomes whether The South is still white enough to ALL RISE TOGETHER. And shame the residual white slaves of an ethnic infiltration and conquest campaign into thinking _there really is hope_.

That is the question I ponder at night and deep down, I don’t really have a good feeling about it.

Every war, there are fewer warriors. And the slugs and the exploiters well know this principle because they have molded the concepts by which war is about profiting yourself as your people into greater percentages of the population into mealy mouthed moralisms that essentially mean fighting for a just cause = fighting for nothing.

Whites _must_ understand that, warfare, as any other natural behavior is never just for show or dominance. It is about inheritance and selection. If you win, you get more and can have more to give to your children. If you lose, someone else’ kids do. This is one of the things which make the more primitive populations of this world so deadly to us. They have not gotten so far distant from that basic understanding of life’s struggle, as to have traded everything for moral conceit and ethics hyperbole.

The Confederate Flag, as I see it, symbolizes the spirit of White rural America. This spirit is still strong in the rural sections of places like Ohio, PA, New York State, Michigan, and so on. It represents living in freedom and peace, respecting our neighbors, and loving our wives and families. It is the flag of those who hunt deer so that they do not starve, and share venison with their loved ones. It is the flag that flies in the yard of people who work hard every day, and do not deserve to have our tax money handed to lazy Negroes who refuse to work.

  • What California has to learn, is how to ban useless lawmakers . . .these people are as mentally touched as the yahoos in DC . . ,. ,. ,.idiots everywhere ..

  • Jack Burton

I’m told in Europe many fly the Stars and Bars because their own nationalist flags are banned, interesting. We may have to start flying their flags because the anti-white tyrants here will ban ours, LOL.

  • Jack Burton

Racism trumps Constitutionalism, in our current system.

  • fatbaby

Is the Nazi flag outlawed? The Japanese rising sun flag?
    Of course not.
While the country is falling apart our government passes and spends time on the most ridiculous things.
Next the states that were in the confederacy will have there flags outlawed.

  • My take on this issue is also that it would be an unconstitutional ban on free speech.

Ironically, the war was fought over states’ rights, which places the California state legislature in an absurd and completely hypocritical position.

As a neo-copperhead, my views on the subject are of course biased.

  • Kit Ingoldby

I’m pretty sure that bill will be an unconstitutional infringement of the 1st amendment. And I’m pretty sure that the Governor knows that. I’m also pretty sure that he will sign the bill anyway.

  • Young Werther

How many historical images/words are banned in this country? Actually illegal? I have read of (white) people being arrested for saying aloud the “n” word, is it actually illegal anywhere in the US to have a Confederate symbol? California is weirdly hypocritical…didn’t they once outlaw the Chinese people after bringing them over for slave labor?

California is run by Jews and homosexuals.

    • OHDeutscheKlezmerRebel

Yes it is. Homosexuals love Negroes because the Negro degenerate culture of sexual depravity and dysfunction gives license to their sodomistic lifestyle. A race of promiscuous, bi-sexual gratuitous pleasure seekers that create cultures where any and every kind of perversion is endemic is a dream come true for homosexuals. They claim to love tolerance, but this is a lie. Homosexuals are in love with the perverted Negro culture into which their own deviance naturally fits.

People will simply alter the flag, much as National Socialists do where the Swastika is banned. Ideas cannot be legislated away.
