The Insulting Phrase One Texas Democrat Says ‘GOP’ Really Stands For

Fred Lucas, The Blaze, June 30, 2014

A Texas Democratic lawmaker used a racially tinged Spanish insult to describe the Republican Party during the state’s Democratic convention Friday.

State Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer said at the Texas Democratic Convention that “GOP” stands for “gringos y otros pendejos,” the Houston Chronicle reported.

The word “gringo” is sometimes used as a derogatory term to mean “white foreigner.” “Pendejo” can mean “asshole,” “fool” or “idiot.”

Martinez Fischer–a supporter of Texas Democratic gubernatorial nominee Wendy Davis–had also been handing out trading cards depicting GOP gubernatorial nominee Greg Abbott as “el diablito,” or “the devil,” and one depicting Davis as “la valiente” or “the brave.”

Martinez Fischer doubled down on his GOP remarks, according to the Chronicle.

“I stand by my words,” he said. “I did not know Greg Abbott was at the convention to hear me, and if I had known that I would told him directly to his face.”

Trey Martinez Fischer – Faux habichuela

(See how vastly fluent I am in three languages?!! I’m sooooo ‘multicultural’ maaaaan!)

    • JDInSanD

Isn’t Trey Martinez Spanish for Trayvon Martin?

      • UncleSham

I hope he meets a Jorge Zimmerman.

  • Truthseeker

People who are unafraid of their opposition taunt them to their faces. What an indication of the GOP’s effectiveness.

Let’s keep letting more of Trey Martinez-Fischer’s ‘people’ into the country. We’re at the name calling phase. This comes just before the heart-plucking sacrifices to Quetzicotal. He’s a pendeho…puta…chingaw….beaner….wetback….commie! See, name calling is muy facil. And fun.

Trey Martinez Fischer is speaking as if his side has won against a weak opponent.

    And he’s exactly right.

    • Pro_Whitey

Is Abbott bungling the race? I hope not. If he sticks to immigration control and ending affirmative action, he might pull it out. The left’s strategy for the past few election cycles is to raise issues like abortion and birth control to the fore and split off white women, especially single white women, to dilute the white vote enough and pull it out. Steve Sailer has explained that California and Texas share similar demographics, but Texas shows a lot more white unity in voting, probably a reflection of the unity of whites formed by dispossession during Reconstruction, which makes the difference for the GOP (as it used to make the difference for the Democrats, when they tolerated white people).

Good points. My meaning was unclear, though. By “his side,” I meant the vulgar, racist, anti-white side.

Disqus keeps deleting my posts about my thoughts on this vermin. Must be ‘protect a communist Beaner’ day.

Why isn’t this thing being sent back to it’s point of origin?

  • JohnEngelman

The Republican Party exists to advance the economic interests of the richest ten percent of the country. Since 1980 the GOP has been very successful at that.

    • Katherine McChesney

At least they provided employment. And they were charitable. More than Democrats.

      • JohnEngelman

From the administrations of Harry Truman to George W. Bush there were nearly always more jobs created per year under Democratic presidents than Republican presidents.

        • Katherine McChesney

          • JDInSanD

Cited sources don’t really matter if the jobs are fake make-work positions. Think of how many fewer Department of Motor Vehicle employees you would need if they were all white.

        • With Republican-controlled Congress and Senate almost every time.

          • JohnEngelman

Presidents Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, and Carter had Democratic majorities in both houses of Congress. Bill Clinton did when he was elected in 1992.

In the process, the GOP lost voters like me. I want the GOP dead, and I am willing to vote for the most white hating minority democrat in order to accomplish that. I feel that is the only way to get some real, patriotic, nonracist people back in the Republican Party. They call me racist, but I never said hat organizations should only hire white people. I say hire the best candidate, which means over 90% of them will be white.

Demographic marginalization of European-Americans is quite dangerous, and its something you push for by empowering a pro-amnesty/pro-mass immigration party. If you want to harass the GOP, join any associated organization and split them up internally.

““I stand by my words,” he said. “I did not know Greg Abbott was at the convention to hear me, and if I had known that I would told him directly to his face.”

I wish more white politicians had his candor and no apologies attitude. Instead, white politicians endlessly bite their tongue or issue tear-filled apologies shortly after telling racial truths.

  • dd121

If we mock them we lose our jobs and are pilloried. It they mock us, they all just have a good laugh.

    • What “job” am I going to lose?

      • dd121

Me too, being retired for 11 years. There are posters here who have been persecuted in their jobs for being white. It’s sad.

  • Katherine McChesney

There’s another meaning for “pendejo” but I’ll not reveal it as it is filthy.

    • Who Me?

I think most of us, (who have ever lived in an area with any appreciable number of Latino’s) know exactly what it means, just as you do. And yes, it’s filthy.

    • ElComadreja

Yeah, I don’t know where the author learned his street Spanish. It’s a slang term for a penis. BTW “gringo” is an insulting term for whites not just any foreigner.

      • Katherine McChesney

Actually, a Latino told me it was code for a part of a woman’s body.

        • ElComadreja

The terms have different meanings depending on where they come from. There are variations throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America. In Mexico and among Mexican Americans in the southwest this is used as slang for penis. The term for a female body part that I’m familiar with is “conjo” but that can have different meanings depending on where you are also.

  • Alexandra1973

I’ve known people who think it stands for God’s Own Party.

  • roadgeek

Just an FYI: Trey Martinez Fischer was born Ferdinand Frank Fischer III , and even used the name Tracy Fischer for a while, but then he moved into a 60% Hispanic State House district. And he became Trey Martinez Fischer, just like that.

    • Nimadan

      “Ferdinand Frank Fischer III”

What are his background and associations? The styling of his name suggests
an old, blueblood, WASP family but Fischer is usually a jewish name.

  • IKUredux

Lovely. Chinge te Senor Martinez Fischer. You know, I don’t even know if I got that right. But, if not, I do know that “te” means “you”. You do the math.

  • AndrewInterrupted

“gringos y otros pendejos,” means you, too, Wendy Davis. Gringo is the “White” founding culture. Look what side your bread is buttered on, sweetheart.

  • Anon

Irritating. A non-Spanish speak translated this and hence, the fine details of the insult are lost. The term “gringo” is a racist term that means white. It has no connotation of foreigners. Quite the opposite in fact. The exact meaning is some rich, powerful outsider that has no idea about what we go through. A man of another race born with a silver spoon in his mount, is pretty close to the meaning. Pendejo literally means penis and its use as an insult is exactly as in English when you call someone a dick.
