His grandmother’s name has yet to be released.

According to authorities, Bland told police that he had gone to see his grandmother to ask for a ride to the store.

However she was already preparing to go to work.

This so enraged Bland that he went outside, got a baseball bat, then went back into the house to start chasing and hitting her.

‘She was struck multiple times with a baseball bat,’ Butts County Sheriff Gray Long said in an interview with local radio, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

After beating her, he stole her car.

He was eventually arrested by Griffin police.

‘He confessed to the murder,’ said Long.
