Homeland Security Secretary: Illegals Have ‘Earned Right to Be Citizens’

Penny Starr, CNS News, January 24, 2014

Speaking at the United States Conference of Mayors on Friday, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said the approximately 11 million people who are in the country illegally have “earned the right to be citizens.”

“An earned path to citizenship for those currently present in this country is a matter of, in my view, homeland security to encourage people to come out from the shadows,” said Johnson, in what he remarked was one of his first public speeches since being confirmed as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chief in December.

“It is also, frankly, in my judgment, a matter of who we are as Americans,” he said, “to offer the opportunity to those who want to be citizens, who’ve earned the right to be citizens, who are present in this country–many of whom came here as children–to have the opportunity that we all have to try to become American citizens.”

Johnson, who had earlier served as general counsel for the Department of Defense under Obama from 2009 to 2012, told the more than 270 mayors in attendance that enforcing immigration law was one of the main missions of DHS.

{snip}

“Common sense immigration reform is supported by the U.S. Conference of Mayors, businesses, and if the polls (are) to be believed, the majority of the American people,” Johnson said. “Border security is inseparable from homeland security.”

“And border security must and should be part of comprehensive immigration reform–protecting our borders, securing our ports, promoting the lawful flow of trade and travel through our ports to cities and other communities,” he said.

“It is also, frankly, in my judgment, a matter of who we are as Americans,”

Someone needs to explain why the Secretary of Homeland Security feels compelled to speak out on this issue.

    • Perhaps while they are at it, they should suggest that people who have robbed banks have “earned the right” to keep the money.

It won’t last long. After the mulattoes are driven from the White House, shifting demographics will practically guarantee that we have a long line of mestizo presidents and mestizo-dominated congresses.

The double think at work here is beyond belief. So on one hand he wants “border security” but on the other hand he says illegal alien invaders that are already here have a right to be here and that people who want to be citizens have a right to be citizens. So what is the difference between the illegal alien invaders already here and the rest of humanity that wants to be here? How can the head of the DHS say that border security is important while simultaneously advocating for citizenship for people that illegally crossed the border? I’m just in awe of the hypocrisy and double speak. The fact that someone like this is in a position of power speaks to the utter stupidity and dumbing down of the FUSA (former United States).

  • bigone4u

Illegals have earned the right to (as the uncensored theme on the Sean Hannity radio show says) “a boot up their ***.” By the logic of this genius bureaucrat, bank robbers have earned the right to keep stolen money. Anyone else besides me fed up with the illogic and lies of the pro-immigration crowd?

    • mobilebay

I was fed up years ago. Each day I wake up wondering if things could get anymore insane, and they usually do. This statement takes today’s prize.

  • Greg Thomas

Jesus Christ! And these are the people charged with securing our border!

  • The funniest part about what Jeh Johnson had to say wasn’t that “illegals have earned the right to be citizens,” but when he said that the main function of HLS is to enforce immigration law.

    Yeah, there’s a good incontinence-inducing laugh.

ICE does everything these days except enforce immigration law. They’ve been farmed out on a lot of irrelevant law enforcement work that has exceedingly little or nothing to do with immigration, because Obama doesn’t want to enforce immigration law, but ICE agents and section leaders don’t want to lose their jobs.

Remember that story from last weekend about a guy wearing Google Glass being hauled out of the theater on suspicion of recording the movie? Guess which Federal law enforcement agency got agents out on a day they don’t usually work (Saturday) to do this. Yep, ICE. The whole irony is that what movie piracy there is, a lot of it comes from Asia and their illegal alien or legal alien diaspora in the United States, but ICE won’t touch illegal aliens. ICE doesn’t do immigration law anymore. But since Hollywood has bought Obama and the Democrat Party, ICE is now the MPAA’s personal private mercenary force.

    • NotTooSwift

Holy cow! I heard a rumor that fire departments are going to do everything except put out fires. Is that true?

      • I think you’re speaking somewhat with tongue in cheek.

That said, if you are being sarcastic, the analogy falls apart in that fire departments still put out fires, along with all the other things they’re called on to do.

      • LACounty

You’re referring to SA fire departments and it’s not a rumor.

  • Greg Thomas

Therefore, in Johnson’s warped reality, violating our sovereignty, as well evading those
charged with defending our border, “earns” one the right to American citizenship.
There is no reasoning with people like this. They have no business heading up
any agency charged with defending the rule of law as well as our borders.

    • IstvanIN

You seem to forget one salient point: they don’t consider this their country, they consider this the “white man’s” country and something that needs to be overthrown and replaced by something they can consider theirs.

      • Greg Thomas

Believe me, I have not forgotten that point. It just pains me to think about it.

  • Jesse James

The real question is what did Jeh Johnson ever do that remotely qualifies him to be the Homeland Security Secretary?

    • Whitetrashgang

He employed illegal aliens in the past? Just a guess.

    • Dave4088

Sort of. He’s a mulatto and thinks like Obama.

    • IstvanIN

The purpose of Homeland Security is to prevent us from retaking our country.

      • Alexandra1973

        You got THAT in one!

  • WR_the_realist

So in the same speech where this fool says that border security is important he says that people who get around our border security and enter illegally deserve citizenship. You just can’t make this stuff up. Our government is past the point where The Onion can satirize it because any satire would be more sensible than the reality.

  • some “Homeland security’ to me!

  • LACounty

Why enforce any laws. Just make your own.

  • NotTooSwift

Why would the Homeland Security chief say something like that? That would be like the head of the DEA saying pot is not that bad, or the top FBI dude saying that the Fort Hood massacre was merely workplace violence.

Or the US Attorney General saying that white people cannot be a victim of a hate crime (Knockout Crime…sorry “Game”), or the new Black Panther Party did not intimidate voters or spew hate speech at the South Street Fair about killing white babies.

Or, better still, the President referring to the IRS or the Benghazi CF’s are minor issues.

Wait a minute, now I am confused regarding who said what. Let’s see……

  • Jesse James

Does anyone else think that the whole Department of Homeland Security is a massive waste of tax payer money? A danger to the freedom of the Republic? Time to slash it in half and break the remnants back into separate agencies. As to the ridiculous airport security theater, does anyone know of a single terrorist that has been detected or detained by the screening process? Seems to me like the only known attempts that weren’t government run operations from the start have been stopped by passengers.

    • Greg Thomas

I’m starting to believe that ICE was specifically created as a defender for illegal invading mexicans.

      • Ella

This is an “easy” fix for the government since it knows that it failed to do its job and uphold the laws. So, I don’t do my job then and this is now–not doing my job. The US politicians mock our laws; our sovereignty is over.

    • Erasmus

If they changed their name to The Committee of Public Safety the electorate would better understand what DHS’s real purpose is.

      Paging Madame Defarge.

      • Brian

If DOD is MiniPax, I suppose ICE would be MiniDiv.

  • Eagle_Eyed

One in, one out policy. For every illegal who gets amnesty we get to deport a traitorous pro-amnesty American “citizen” to the country of origin of said illegal.

  • John K

No, it’s who the Obama Administration, aka the “Get Whitey” Administration, is as anti-Americans. I’m pretty damn sure they know that a lot of the invaders hate white people and are attracted by the handouts. The Hispanics who love the USA, work, and pay taxes have been here for generations or have come here legally; they hate the invaders, too.

I see the enemy within, it is our own government.

  • libertarian1234

Obama now has a black in charge of DHS, one in charge of NASA, one in charge of the BATF, the Justice Dept., one as the FCC czar pushing “diversity,” and his entire administration is now rife with militant blacks and radical self-hating whites, and all of them are dedicated to achieving black power at all costs.
He has also purged the military of brass who he deems not of the same low caliber of Gen. Casey who believes diversity and social engineering are more important than winning wars.
Rep. Ghomert believes these things are particularly suspicious since Obamacare has a provision for creating a force of militants similar to what Obama referred to when he said he wanted to create a civilian defense force as strong and as well-funded as the military.
General Vallely and General Jones think so also and have created a watchdog panel to monitor the activities of this black miscreant.
Never before to my knowledge has so much suspicion been cast on a president for fear he might try to have “his people” take over.
I’m just wondering if they should act RIGHT NOW, instead of waiting for a more egregious sign of a takeover, because throughout history opposition to such criminal threats have always come too late.

  • Marc Zuckurburg

    I think he is right.

The undocumented among us have earned the right to be citizens.

I just pray to God that they don’t also think they’ve earned the right to to make anything more than minimum wage slaving away at working for Facebook.

    • the sound the flood the hour

Have you seen the new “push4reform” app? It looks really trendy.

      • Marc Zuckurburg

        You’re welcome.

And since I found 20, count ’em, 20, out of the millions of undocumented valedictorians currently in this country to do something as technically challenging as writing code for phone apps that already exist many times over, that’s proof that we need comprehensive immigration reform more than ever.

But I’m not naive either. I know that’s not how the fight for comprehensive immigration reform will be won. It’s going to take me spending a lot of money to bribe convince people like John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, Cathy McMorris-Rodgers, Kevin McCarthy and Bob Goodlatte. You may think it’s as easy as me just writing checks, but it’s really not that easy. How difficult is it? In order to buy off Boehner, I’ve got to give his new lout-about Rastafarian spaghetti-head black Jamaican son-in-law a lifetime sinecure. Except he’s unemployable, so I don’t know what job I could possibly give him.

        • Marc Zuckurburg

Can the new app be used to generate support *against* this comprehensive immigration reform or is it a one way street?

          • Marc Zuckurburg

Now there’s a silly question. There is only one possible position on comprehensive immigration reform.

The funniest part about what this slimeball “Jeh” is saying is that the ones who will suffer most from increased Mexican influence in America are his fellow blacks.

Mexicans HATE blacks, and vice versa. Remember the story last year of a Mexican gang forcing blacks out of Compton, California? I’ve never met a Mexican who didn’t have bad things to say about “Los negros.” Never.

Many whites are smart and productive enough that they can still do jobs that Mexicans can’t. Blacks aren’t. Also Mexicans, despite all their bellyaching about gringos, do actually have respect for whites. They have zero for blacks.

    • AndrewInterrupted

“The funniest part about what this slimeball “Jeh” is saying is that the ones who will suffer most from increased Mexican influence in America are his fellow blacks”.

And that’s how much the additional Demo-rat votes mean to them. It’s all ends-justify-the-means. Jeh and his fellow rats see his community as safely on the dole anyway.

      To a Chicago gangster, it’s all win-win.

    • libertarian1234

“Remember the story last year of a Mexican gang forcing blacks out of Compton, California?”

Good point. I just might mention, however, that gangs on both sides are at each other’s throats constantly, but the press wants the world to believe this shared animosity is restricted only to “gangs,” which is not true.

I’ve read news from all across the country in recent years, where blacks and Hispanics go to school together or live in close proximity to one another, of much constant fighting.

In Southern Calif. LA County Sheriff Lee Baca wrote an article in the LA Times which said that most people are saying the black/Hispanic violence is gang-related, but, he says, the majority is not. He said they are having what amounts to a race war with schools, jails, and prisons being locked down periodically.

There’s a whole lot of fighting by blacks that is played down or unreported throughout the entire country, involving all non-blacks not just Hispanics and whites. They fight with everybody.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the coming civil war doesn’t involve blacks on one side and everybody else on the other.

    • Mack0

Hispanics lack the easily manipulated weakness of many whites, white guilt. Blacks will find it very difficult to blame and shame them into submission. They will soon discover their new masters won’t be as forgiving as we have been. It will be a rude awakening indeed.

    • Greg Thomas

True, but Jeh doesn’t care about that since the only mexicans he will have to deal with is the one scrubbing his toilet or taking his kids to school.

    • the sound the flood the hour

The DOJ likes to distort the number white crimes and white on black crimes by conflating hispanics with whites while the true statistics get lost in a sea of disinformation. They like to use these fake stats to help manufacture consent for their marxist agenda. That’s one of the benefits of mass immigration for the professional race hustlers.

  • Massif1

Blacks have earned the right to go back to Africa.

    • NoMosqueHere

Whites will move to Africa before blacks do; blacks have it made here.

  • Charles W.

I went to a high school with very few whites, and it was basically understood that the whites hung with the Latins (not the blacks). From what I understand prison is the same way. A Whiteman can actually communicate on some level with Hispanics. They do have a shred of civility in them. A shred.

Blacks on the other hand are on another planet. When they’re all amongst themselves they may as well be speaking their own language, even more foreign than Spanish. A violent, primal language.

If forced to choose between the two, I would take Mexicans any day. However note I say “If forced.”

    • GeneticsareDestiny

That’s what I’ve heard too. Though I don’t want to be around blacks or Hispanics, I’d have to choose Hispanics too if forced to make that choice.

I went to school with both races and have worked with both races. The Hispanics are preferable.

I wonder if this is because whites and Hispanics are both descended from the group of people who left Africa, while blacks are descended from those who stayed behind? It means we’re more related to the most Indio Hispanic ever to cross the border than we are to a pure African black.

      • Mack0

Many Hispanics can trace their lineage back to Europe. We have some shared genetic history. Unfortunately Hispanics are easily seduced by ghetto culture and attempt to emulate the thug behavior of the blacks in close proximity often as a defensive action to protect themselves from the blacks who prey on them.

    • Mack0

I attended a predominately black school and from my experience you are absolutely correct. Blacks and Mexicans didn’t get along at all but it was possible for a white person to have real friendships with Hispanics. Sadly whites went out of their way to befriend blacks, usually with disasterous results.

The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), Pub.L. 99–603, 100 Stat. 3445, enacted November 6, 1986, also Simpson-Mazzoli Act, is an Act of Congress which reformed United States immigration law. It was an attempt to solve the immigration problem during 1986.
    In brief, the act:
    *required employers to attest to their employees’ immigration status;

    *made it illegal to knowingly hire or recruit unauthorized immigrants;
    *legalized certain seasonal agricultural illegal immigrants, and;
*legalized illegal immigrants who entered the United States before January 1, 1982 and had resided there continuously with the penalty of a fine, back taxes due, and admission of guilt; candidates were required to prove that they were not guilty of crimes, that they were in the country before January 1, 1982, and that they possessed minimal knowledge about U.S. history, government, and the English language.
*About three million undocumented immigrants were granted legal status through this act.
