Disgusting game. Honoring George Washington – evil. White Christians – evil. Patriotism – evil. Who comes up with these games? Apparently, the idea and design came from someone named Ken Levine.

    • Ryan

I have to agree. The name, and of course the look of the man in question obviously answers. They aren’t all liberal nut cases though, just look at Jewamongyou.

Sad that such a AAA title, and most likely a really well done game that’s already gotten 9/10 and 5/5 stars on my gaming sites has so much anti-white hatred thrown in it. You literally join a group of blacks/mulattoes that say the flying city you’re in is for the White Man.

    • Connor

The game’s not making those points at all. It’s just saying that the extremists in all of those groups are evil. And they’re not honoring George Washington in the game, they’re literally worshipping him as a deity.

  • zimriel

Obviously the game wasn’t written “for us by us”, as the saying goes. But its predecessor Bioshock was just as unfair to the libertarians.

How come WNs can’t write anything this good? Can’t someone come up with a mod that handles why Rapture was necessary in the first place, why a city like this is necessary in the first place? Anyone up for rescuing a girl lost in, say, modern Detroit?

    • KevinPhillipsBong

Haven’t heard of any WN video games since Ethnic Cleansing in 2002.

      • Barrack Osama

Yeah I’m sad to say, usually WNs are more interested in making joke games where you shoot black people that make monkey sounds rather than something subtle and beautiful that can captivate even your enemies.

      • Xerxes22

I would consider most of the Total War games to be WN games. They may not be blatantly WN but you do learn a lot about European history as well as military tactics by playing these games.

    • So CAL Snowman

Bioshock explains exactly WHY a city like Rapture was necessary. As explained during the game, the city of rapture is essentially Galt’s Gulch, a city created by Andrew Ryan for the world’s greatest artists and thinkers, a city where they could prosper in a laissez – faire environment free from the increasing oppression of the world’s governments. What game did you play?

      • zimriel

That’s not what I meant. I knew all that.

I meant, how come we’re not seeing a game that puts Galt’s Gulch in a positive light? specifically: a game that puts the player in an interactive situation where they fix the problems caused by excessive Bloomberg-ist statism?

        • So CAL Snowman

How much fun would a game like that be? One of the overall themes was that a Utopia (like Galt’s Gulch) is not really a feasible idea because human beings (even the elite thinkers and artists) are too independent and competitive to live in perfect harmony. Our desires and dreams are the sources of our greatest achievements and our greatest failures. Interestingly the city of Rapture (Galt’s Gulch) worked perfectly . . . for awhile. It was only when new technologies combined with competing ideologies of powerful men, that Rapture (Galt’s Gulch) began to fall apart. I tend to agree with the creators, that Galt’s Gulch would eventually lead to ruin. Ayn Rand was most definitely an insider and “Atlas Shrugged” is more or less a blue print for our current reality. Her view of the elite and the current reality of the elite are not the same though as she had a more optimistic view of these cretins. Ultimately Galt’s Gulch WILL fail because the elite are psychopaths themselves. Bioshock is an absolute Masterpiece.

          • zimriel

            Thanks for explaining all this.

          • So CAL Snowman

No problem, the fellows writing the Bioshock games are very well read and obviously have a thing for Ayn Rand. I adore Rand as well, so for me it’s always interesting to see her philosophy applied in modern times. Even if it;s not always a positive portrayal at least it’s out there for the individual to decide.

          • DS

” While Rand was a brilliant writer, she was by no means the heroine or “conservative”  so many have been fooled into believing.  She was a militantly pro-abortion atheist, feminist, isolationist, and anti-Vietnam war protester, who hated Ronald Reagan and opponents of busing as much as she hated religious people.  If she were alive, today, I’m not so sure she’d be any different from the rest of the feminist, left-wing world in their silence on the Islamic threat to the West. She might even have voted for Barack Obama.”

          • David Ashton

Rand opposed forced busing and would certainly have opposed the Islamic threat to the west (including Israel). As a minimal-state and anti-welfare theorist, she would not have voted for Obama or any Democrats. She was neither a conservative nor a “militant feminist”. The rest of this criticism is more or less correct. What appeals to some white nationalists is her anti-communism and advocacy of heroism as a prime virtue. The cultural environment of her fictional world is a white USA, taken for granted.

          • Extropico

Not sure if you have a different source but my research quotes her as morally demanding forced busing because she was irked by racism.

As to Muslims and Israel, her tact would have been rather different. She described them as savages who have no rights in Israel. And the Amerikan taxpayer should fund Israel’s defense by all means possible.

          • David Ashton

The website reference on forced busing has a refutation of your “demand” interpretation further down the page. She did not support collective black racism to compensate or past collective anti-racism.
I would have thought she’d take a similar attitude to Muslims coming into the USA than she would over Israel, but not agree with her disciple Leonard Peikoff that a mosque on the 9/11 site should be blown up.
I have published my own criticisms of Rand and her philosophy but doubt that she would have desired the reduction of the Founding stock to a minority, but in any case the question is “academic” after her death.

          • Extropico

I saw no such refutation. If you can provide a clear rebuttal of her statement that opponents of forced busing will lose because busing advocate are on the right, please do so. Her philosophy is not merely pedantic and moot, as her alleged acolytes are using her fame to advocate open borders to this day in Forbes Magazine… but not for Israel.

          • JDInSanDiego

There’s a great exchange in Atlas Shrugged (written in 1957, btw) where the main character has informed her brother she’s tearing up a train line they own in Mexico to repair one here in the US and he protests:

“But the Mexican people expect real service from us!”

            “I’m sure they do.”

            “They need trains!”

            “For what?”

“For… To help them develop local industries. How do you expect them to develop if we don’t give them transportation?”

“I don’t expect them to develop,”

          • Extropico

She would be classified as a neocon today. I can’t get beyond her statement that we don’t have the right to defend our borders. And there is no way she’d have that position for Israel.

          • David Ashton

An “insider”? In the John Birch Society sense? Or what?

      • Nathanwartooth

Andrew Ryan is my favorite hero from any video game. Yes, I consider him to be the hero of the story. He even tries to save you, I would say more but it’s a major spoiler in case anyone wants to enjoy the game.

There are all kinds of awesome Andrew Ryan quotes from the game.

“I am Andrew Ryan, and I’m here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? ‘No!’ says the man in Washington, ‘It belongs to the poor.’ ‘No!’ says the man in the Vatican, ‘It belongs to God.’ ‘No!’ says the man in Moscow, ‘It belongs to everyone.’ I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose… Rapture, a city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality, Where the great would not be constrained by the small! And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city as well.”

“What is the difference between a man and a parasite? A man builds, a parasite asks, ‘Where’s my share?’ A man creates, a parasite says, ‘What will the neighbors think?’ A man invents, a parasite says, ‘Watch out, or you might tread on the toes of God…'”

Andrew Ryan was an atheist but his real message was that it wasn’t the government or God that builds and invents, its man.

  • So CAL Snowman

I’m currently playing this game and I’m blown away, it’s incredible just like the first Bioshock. I am actually pretty surprised by the in your face White Nationalism on display here. There really has never been a game like this that tackles race in such an upfront manner. Although the overall message of the game is one of condemnation for this ideology, the fact that it goes so far seems (to me) to suggest a tacit approval. This game would never have seen the light of day if the creators openly endorsed the ideology of Columbia. The city of Columbia is rife with signs and posters declaring “Racial Purity” and “Protecting Our Race”, it’s wonderful! Other posters found throughout the city inspire Columbian citizens to “fight against the savage hordes” with pictures depicting mexicans, blacks, jews and indians, again WONDERFUL! John Wilkes Booth is considered a national hero and Abraham Lincoln is rightly disgraced as the “emancipator of death.” Again you will see NOTHING like this anywhere else! The fact that a game has the balls to do this is nothing short of amazing. The funny thing is that while (on the surface) it condemns White nationalism, ironically a FLYING CITY in the clouds could only be the product of White ingenuity!

    • The city of Detroit will float after it explodes.

    • Galen

You must be kidding. Didn’t know women got into such games. Guess so.

      • Garrett Brown

        Gamer chicks are hawt.

      • Ryan

The latest stats on the video game player base put woman at 30%, though I think most of that would be casual gamers. The hardcore crowd is still very much dominated by males.

      • Guest

        Female gamers are hawt.

      • Garrett Brown

        Snowman is a male…

    • Nathanwartooth

I’ve been avoiding this game after loving Bioshock 1 and 2.

Going to pick this game up now. Just going to do the same as I did in Bioshock 1, pretend like I’m really on the side of the people running the city.

    • The Final Solution

I’ll definitely get the game now. I guess it was developed by DICE which is a Swedish company so that may explain how they pushed the pro-white theme?

    • Nate Miller

      1. This game does NOT support white nationalism, it vilifies and condemns it in congruence to today’s classic liberal/ cultural Marxist ideology. To think or even assume otherwise is pure delusion of grandiosity! Sorry to disappoint you there.

      2. The biggest drawback of this game is the set up. If Columbia is supposed to be a city floating on clouds, which implies that it is located at a very high altitude above sea level where the atmosphere is thin, how on Earth ( no pun intended) do the denizens of this city prance and waltz around without Oxygen masks or ventilation support? For crying out loud, the video trailer is preposterous to anyone with a 6th grade level of science knowledge.

      3. John Wilkes Booth was a tool. No better, no worse. To compliment that loser as a national hero is beyond ludicrous!

      4. Too much fantasy does our movement no good. If I were you, I would discourage white nationalists from indulging themselves in useless, non productive media brainwashing tools like video games or the telly & instead encourage them to concentrate on REAL/ ACTUAL problems facing our ilk. As for hobbies, reading good books, writing, outdoor adventures and exercising would be a better alternative.

      • Connor

The people who worship Booth in the game are part of an extremist cult. We know he’s a tool.

  • It’s a real shame– it is a terribly advanced game, and I was looking forward to it. I certainly won’t be buying it now. I don’t know why the game designer would want to malign and denigrate White people, and America in general. Here is a photo of the fellow, Ken Levine:

Unfortunately, I could only find a photo of him with a profile shot. Ha ha, just kidding, I had to search around to find that.

    • So CAL Snowman

I have to ask, if you were looking forward to it how could you NOT have known what it was about? You know your stuff so just embrace the White Nationalism found in the game. Just because the game says you shouldn’t like it, does not mean you have to agree. Seeing and hearing Abraham Lincoln being eviscerated verbally by Comstock is an absolute pleasure.

      • Well, Snowman, in the previews I saw starting years ago, they showed the White folk, but not the abused blacks and servants. It pisses me off that the game bends you to support the revolutionary non-Whites. To be honest, I’d rather push them all past the railings into space. Hey wait!! Can I do that? It’s AI so can I round them up and deport them over the edge of the city? I am so buying this now.

        • So CAL Snowman

I don’t think you can do all that but in Resident Evil 5 you just go around in Africa shooting african zombies. It’s good times. No White guilt in sight. Although the RE series is made by Capcom, a Japanese company.

          • Like I was telling Garrett above, you guys have talked me into it. It really does look amazing. Yeah, those Japanese can be pretty hardcore

          • Nathanwartooth

Oh man I remember when that game first came out. The media was in an uproar because you killed so many Blacks.

But they didn’t seem to care when in Resident Evil 4 you went to Spain and killed Spanish people. But meh, it’s expected at this point.

    • Garrett Brown

Seriously, give it a try. If you are a member of this site you will enjoy it, I promise.

      • Yeah, you guys have talked me into it. I’m going to hit a GameStop. But seriously, I like video games, I even go to conventions because I am a total nerd. Imagine how I felt when the Pandaria expansion came out on Warcraft! Now I’m surrounded by Chinese pandas!!!!! I’m a level 90 undead hunter btw

        • Garrett Brown

Blizzard makes phenomenal games. I am partial to the StarCraft franchise myself. I have played it more than any other game I have ever owned. I am addicted to the newest expansion, Heart of The Swarm.

        • Nathanwartooth

The comments section for this article has really shown me how many other race realists there are that play video games. It is actually really awesome.

  • storibund

Noooooooo!!! I have been ****so**** waiting for this!

Guess I’ll just borrow my nephew’s copy when he’s done >;-)

  • Garrett Brown

It is the ONLY game that has come out in the past few years that is pro white and racially conscious as far as first person shooters go(Farcry was close, but then you had sex with a black woman and befriended another, while at the same time killing hundreds of mestizos and blacks, kind of ruined the entire story and screwed it into not making sense) but I’ve been recommending this to everyone and am loving playing it on the side of Starcraft’s new expansion, Heart of the Swarm(RTS computer game), another pro white game that is incredibly fun. I was very surprised that Irrational Games made it as in depth in nationalism and being proud of being white, and of course as anyone with half a brain in today’s society it was all for a message of “that’s bad!”. But I honestly feel that is the hidden message in this amazing, yet truly touching game(a video game!). Or i should at least say, it was touching for a man that wants omniseperatism and our own nation for whites. Of course they try to view it and have it come off as negative(I chose the “evil” side… AKA pro white side), but just to be in this sort of atmosphere is wonderful and very enjoyable. Ignore the later on message that they try to put in your head, enjoy the beautiful world it’s set in and that they acknowledge it was built by WHITES FOR WHITES. That’s definitely what I will take away from it. I along with the others in this comment section were blown away(just as I thought they would be), and I would recommend it to anyone on this site that enjoys gaming. I played the first two because there were only whites in them and they were extremely fun, with an AMAZING story, but this takes the cake. The thumping of Lincoln, the praise of TRUE patriots, the racially aware citizens of the beautiful city Colombia with the FANTASTIC music, I cant wait to play more tonight!

    • So CAL Snowman

That’s what I’m thinking, that behind everything there is a pro white and racially conscious message to be found. I mean the game takes place in a flying city built by White people in 1912!

      • Garrett Brown

I’m very glad to hear about you enjoying it. I think it’s an absolutely amazing, developed game and am taking the TRUE message from it.

        • So CAL Snowman

Did you play Skyrim at all? You could choose to be a “Storm Cloak” soldier and support the revolution to take back the kingdom for the White Nords!

          • Garrett Brown

I have played the ins and outs of Skyrim lol. Have all the DLC as well. Have you tried the Dragonborn DLC? YOU CAN RIDE A DRAGON! But yes, one of my favorite things to do was rebel against the Imperial Legion and siege their castles.

  • At my age, I’m pretty fickle about choosing a video game to play. This Bioshock is an achievement in video game design, but even the white nationalist aspect is not a lure.

I am playing the Mass Effect Trilogy, and it will probably take me almost a year to finish it because I do perhaps a few hours a week. It appealed to me because I always wanted to be in command of a military ship, whether it be a submarine or a starship. I like being able to walk from one end of the ship to the other, different floors, talking with crew members, choosing where you want to take the ship instead of having it done for you, choosing who goes down to the planet with you, and having a romance option.

The racism in Mass Effect is between humans and several alien species. You would have to pay attention to see how some alien races are code for some of our own ethnic groups, like the Krogan race who can’t be trusted to control their own numbers, or your squad mate’s (Ashley) jealously and racism if you choose to romance the blue skinned, octopus headed, alien Dr. Liara T’Soni (Ashley: “She’s not even a human!”.) Of course, you can pursue Ashley if you want. Ashley appealed to me because liberal democrat types who played the game called her “space bigot”.
Still, correct me if I’m wrong, wouldn’t most men find an alien girl with blue skin, and tentacles for hair, more attractive than nearly all females of a certain racial group?

    • So CAL Snowman

LOVED the Mass Effect series. It’s interesting that you mentioned Liara, as that was the same character I chose to romance for my commander Sheppard. And yes I suspect that the Krogan were code for the africans, the Asari are the jews, the Salarians are the Asians and the Quarians are the mexicans/hispanics

      • The Turians would be the nationalistic, patriotic whites, I suppose. they are very militaristic, and have high technology.

    • Barrack Osama

All those spineless eunuchs despise Ashley the “space racist”. Of course, she is the most interesting character in the story.

    • storibund

Loved Mass Effect 1&2… couldn’t bring myself to play 3, after the whole ending debacle.

I so fell in love with Zaeed (I’m a woman, okay? 😉 , that I tried to port him over to Skyrim – hashed about for months with 3DSmax and nifscope, finally decided it just wasn’t worth it. *sigh*

      • I would say get that Citadel DLC. You can throw a party where you invite every surviving squad member from all three games.
Robin Sachs, the guy who did Zaeed’s voice, died last month at 61 years old.

    • Ryan

Interesting thing about the game and the voices that go with them. Liara is voiced by a real life gorgeous blonde/blue eyed woman, while Ashley is voiced by a chunky black woman. Don’t believe me? Go check out the voices of Mass Effect on YouTube.

Yes, I chose Liara over Ashley, but it had nothing to do with their voices. I just appreciated Liara’s nerdy girl personality over Ashley who is too tomboyish for my tastes.

      • I might dump Ashley for Miranda once I get to Mass Effect 2. A friend of mine at work went for Tali, but I need to see what’s under her armor. If this was the real military, we would get in trouble for fraternization.

  • Anon1

As a gamer, I am pretty surprised that this had completely escaped me. I figure because I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first Bioshock, so I really was not anticipating this title. I feel like I need to play it now, because as a triple A title that is going to sell millions and will most likely win game of the year from most major publications, I’m interested in seeing what racial themes are being broadcast to such a large audience. An audience mind you, that is majority white.

For the first time, I might even play the game while pausing to take notes.

    • So CAL Snowman

You could write a doctoral thesis on this game, it’s that over the top and complex. Words really cannot describe what you will be seeing and feeling.

  • NorthernWind

It doesn’t end with you turning Columbia into a multiculty wonderland does it? I’d buy it if I knew it ended well.

  • Anonymous

You should be starting a family, not playing video games. Have some shame. Toys are for the children you should be having and raising. As an adult, your only involvement with video games should be as a designer.

    • Nathanwartooth

“You should be starting a family, not posting on AmRen”.

See what I did there? Everyone wastes time, it’s called enjoying yourself. Without joys in life it wouldn’t be worth living.

    • Ryan

I have a family and play video games. It’s part of the gen x and younger generations, though even my father plays them too, and he’s in in early 60s.

Saying not to play video games is like going back to the 50s and berating teenagers for listening to rock and roll, or for watching too much TV. You are pretty out of touch I think.

    • freddy_hills

Anonymous makes a reasonable point. There are plenty of guys in their late 20s and beyond who spend all their time goofing around with video games instead of getting their life together. Anyone who spends more than 10 hrs per week watching television or playing video games should consider pulling the plug.

      • Ryan

Sometimes life doesn’t always work that way. To gamers, video games are an immersive hobby that keeps their brains rattling away on their games long after they stop playing them.

Twelve years back I moved fairly far to a city and I knew no one, nor was I seeing a woman at the time. About the only thing I had going was work, coming home to my dogs, and my gaming systems — PC and the Xbox.

While trying to work my way up the ladder and get experience, I was the youngest person on the crew by ten years, and they used to call me the kid. Life in my mid twenties to thirty was like that. Though I loved the guys I worked with, at best they were more like a bunch of old guys showing the new inexperienced guy the ropes in Construction.

Finding friends wasn’t exactly an easy thing either. The apartments I lived in were all elderly people there as well.

Eventually I wanted to meet a girl and get married and start a family. Well it’s not as easy as it sounds unless you go through other means, like though dating sites on the internet, or enrolling in the more face to face dating agencies (expensive ones) that tend to produce better results.

Eventually I found the right person, and the last 8 years of my life have been about getting married and having that family.

Point is, during the lonely stages of the first period I was talking about, I worked a lot of hours, and with the lack of available friends, the internet and computer games where about all I had to keep my sanity.

If your life focus is video games and working part time while living at home up to and past the age of 40, then you really do have an issue.

I suppose in this case moderation is key.

Not everyone plays just mindless twitch action games either. I like shooters with a meaningful story and a well done backdrop world. Just like Bioshock Infinity that was presented here. Most of the games I tend to play are RPGs, and strategy games. Civilization type games are fun, but I also like complicated strategy games like what Paradox Interactive put out.

Europa Universalis, IMO is the golden area of European power over the world from the renaissance to the industrial revolution.

Hearts of Iron series lets you play as whatever white nation you want in the second world war, as well as China and Japan.

For most people these are highly complex games that the average gamer couldn’t grasp right away, and without extreme effort, many never do. Thinking war games like these also teach a lot of history about the time and era that they take place in.

If you think gamers lose themselves purely in mindless games, then I would challenge that. I believe Video Games are the next important medium in art, and many these days are trying to get it accepted as a new art form. Other than that, in terms of what they can offer is much more than vegging out the brain on a coach all night like so many of us do. You interact with the games, and the games themselves promote thought, suspension of belief, immersiveness beyond reading or watching film, and taking part in thought provoking actions in the games story.

But to each their own. Many just go for the mindless shooting / action garbage.,

  • LHathaway

Someone correct me if I’m wrong. This game is designed to poke fun at bigoted and racists whites and their ideas. And the only who will complain are – people of color. Please correct me.

  • The Final Solution

I don’t know if any of you on here play games but I’m pleased to report that the only black characters in Aliens: Colonial Marines were dead. Other than that, all the characters in the game were white except one Latina….I was very pleased.

    • Nathanwartooth

Japanese games tend to have a lack of Blacks as well. 99% of the characters look either White or Asian. The older Final Fantasy games are a great example of this. Final Fantasy 6 had a huge cast of characters and every single one White or Asian.

  • Bon, From the Land of Babble

I am heartened by the comments I am reading here. I am glad so many of you are interested in gaming — and BioShock in particular. I am hearing quite a bit about that particular game lately.

You see, my son is studying software engineering/game design at one of California’s UC — which is setting me back to the tune of $33,000/year. Tuition has gone up by 75% in the past 5 years and now the state is giving $$ away so illegal aliens can get tuition grants to displace California’s children — whose parents’ taxes heavily subsidize California’s UCs.

The dean of engineering has assured us parents that the programming learned in the gaming field is creative and cutting edge and used in other tech fields beside the gaming industry and that ALL of the graduates of this program either have a job after graduation or go on to grad school.

My son tells me his game design program is filled with Whites — Asians are in the pre-med or pharmacy programs. There are NO blacks or mexicans in any programming, math, physics or electrical engineering classes from what he’s told me.

I admit I don’t know a lot about gaming and know nothing about how they’re programmed — but I listen while excitedly told about the different languages — C++, C sharp, Python, Boo, Lau, Java and the plus or minuses and nuances of each — what FPS means — the complicated story lines –I’ve heard it all, but it might as well be Greek!! BUT, I am learning and I do know the many science fiction references that appear throughout these games.

I just want to know what I’m getting for $33,000/year and whether it is all worth it.

From reading the comments here, it seems it will be money well spent.

  • bubo

Bioshock was one of the best games I’ve ever played, just an incredible story. Part 2 was excellent also.

I’ve really been on the fence about this game though, since I had heard the story would be one of fighting against white racism. Perhaps the message might get clouded along the way though and people start to identify with the inhabitants of Columbia. I already know the dialogue and artwork will be fantastic.

  • Hermes

Racist dumb whites are such a hoot. They are so sad and pathetically insecure that they have to resort to making up video games where they can live their vicariously racist lives not having to worry about being called out as “RACISTS”. Race realists my left butt !!

  • Bud

I guess the 24/7/365 white-bashing racism that takes place in our schools, on television, in print and in the movies isn’t enough, it has to be extended to video games. Not enough infants being shot in strollers, I suppose.

Somehow I forgot about a writeup I did on the game Fallout 3:

It’s longish so I’ll summarize. A mission in the game has you play ‘diversity integrator’ with a civilized part of the wasteland. Although the game “plays it straight” in rewarding you as the great anti-racist, the message in the end is clear: civilization and savagery don’t mix.

It’s just a form of entertainment.Seriously, I don’t get why some get hot and
bothered. If you’re not into gaming that’s fine, If you don’t like BioShock then
don’t buy it. Not everything has to be so serious.

Here is a snooty comment from me – less time playing fantasy games on the internet and more time using the internet for race realism, please!
