Brawl at Alabama State University

One person was arrested for a fight Monday on the campus of Alabama State University, according to ASU Chief of Police Huey Thornton.

Thornton said a physical altercation between two groups of students occurred about noon Monday at a dining facility on campus. {snip}

One person was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, he said. Video evidence is being collected for the investigation, Thornton said. No other details were available because the case is under investigation.


Editor’s note: Alabama State University, located in Montgomery, was founded in 1867 and has an enrollment of over 5,000. The average combined Math and Verbal SAT score is 797 and the graduation rate is 23 percent.
