Controversial Speaker to Appear at Texas A&M

KBTX-TV (Bryan/College Station, Texas), April 1, 2008

Race relations expert Jared Taylor will address students at Texas A&M on Tuesday, April 1 at 8:30 PM.

His speech is titled “Is Diversity a Strength or Weakness?” and will explore what current racial and demographic trends mean for the United States.

The speech will be characterized by frank and open discussion of subjects rarely addressed in an academic setting: the costs of diversity, the threat multiculturalism poses to free speech and democratic institutions, and the implications of the rapidly changing populations of the nations of the West.

The speech will be held in Rudder Room 601 and is sponsored by Aggie Independents.

A similar speech by Mr. Taylor, scheduled for Michigan State University, was canceled earlier this month after complaints about the controversial nature of the subject.

Mr. Taylor is the editor of American Renaissance, a monthly publication that focuses on race and immigration.
