FBI Launches Investigation After Texas Woman Brutally Attacked by ‘Free Karmelo’ Mob

Federal authorities are now involved after a Texas woman was brutally beaten by a group of suspects chanting “Free Karmelo.”

Police say the attack has sparked online threats and concerns about retaliation.

The assault happened outside Whiskey J’s nightclub in Longview, Texas, according to KYTX.

The victim claims the suspects said, “they [were] going to target the smallest white girl they could find.”

The attack appears to have been motivated by support for Karmelo Anthony, whose murder conviction has fueled a movement challenging the jury’s decision.

Police said one person involved in the attack has been arrested so far.

The suspect arrested was identified as 21-year-old Ciarrianne Fuller of Longview, according to KYTX.

Fuller is facing assault charges and was booked into jail on a $20,000 bond, the outlet reported.
