Fortnite Launches Virtual Experience for Martin Luther King Jr.’s ‘I Have a Dream’ Speech

Fortnite is going back in time for its newest crossover experience.

The wildly popular video game is launching a new experience themed around Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech.

The game calls the event “March Through Time,” where players will be able to embark on an “immersive journey” back to 1963 to witness King’s historic speech in a “re-imagined” version of Washington D.C. {snip}

In a short trailer video put out by PlayStation, players will seemingly have the opportunity to attend the speech, hold signs and clap along as a recording of King’s address plays.

The experience was met with some backlash on social media, where many expressed frustration with a civil rights icon like King being likened to a character in a video game.
