Sanctuary County: Illegal Alien Accused of Strangling, Raping, and Attempting to Murder Woman

An illegal alien was arrested and charged with a brutal rape and attempted murder of a woman in the sanctuary jurisdiction of Montgomery County, Maryland — at least the fourth rape charge against an illegal alien in the area in less than a month.

Kevin Mendoza, a 26-year-old illegal alien from Honduras, was arrested this week after he allegedly attacked a woman in Silver Spring, Maryland, brutally raped her — which police said was captured entirely on surveillance footage — and then attempted to murder her, according to police.

Following the rape, the woman locked herself in her apartment, called the police, and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Doctors told police that the injuries to the victim’s neck due to the strangling could have easily killed her.

Three days after the alleged rape and attempted murder, Mendoza turned himself over to police. The Montgomery County Police Department has yet to provide details of the illegal alien’s bond information.

The alleged rape and attempted murder is at least the fourth rape charge against an illegal alien in less than a month in Montgomery County — an ardent sanctuary county that shields criminal illegal aliens from deportation by federal immigration officials.
