Elizabeth Warren Takes Wrong Side

It is no secret that there is no ideology more dangerous for women and children than progressivism and this week Sen. Liz Warren confirmed it.

Warren — viewed as a likely 2020 Democratic presidential contender — was asked on CNN’s “New Day” about toughening immigration laws after 20-year-old Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts’ brutal murder. An alleged illegal immigrant has been arrested.

“I’m so sorry for the family and I know this is hard, not only for the family but for the people in her community, the people throughout Iowa,” Warren said about Tibbetts. “But, one of the things we have to remember is we need an immigration system that is effective, that focuses on where real problems are.”

“{snip} I think we need immigration laws that focus on people who pose a real threat and I don’t think that mamas and babies are the place that we should be spending our resources. Separating a mama from her baby does not make this country safer.”

{snip} Her concern is not for American victims of crimes committed by illegal immigrants, it is for the illegal immigrants.

American citizens are regarded as less-than by progressives and their stories are considered a nuisance to the driving narrative that we are all complicit of crimes against this group or that and we have no moral authority to do anything but shut up and pay up.

It is unacceptable that our senator values noncitizens over citizens. In her role as a private citizen she can do whatever she likes, but as a United States senator she works for her constituents and her fellow countrymen. To misuse the power and prestige of her office for her own personal advocacy is improper if not unethical.
