Labour’s New LGBT+ Adviser: ‘All White People Are Racist’

Westmonster, February 27, 2018

The Labour Party has appointed an LGBT adviser who’s previously accused all white people of being racist and all straight men of being homophobes…a kinder, gentler politics indeed.

In a Facebook post, Munroe Bergdorf makes sweeping generalisations about heterosexual people being homophobic and all gay people being ashamed of their sexuality…hardly an open-minded, in-depth analysis.

The post reads: “We also live in a society where men are SOCIALISED to be sexist. Women are SOCIALISED to be submissive. Gay people are SOCIALISED to be ashamed of their sexuality due to heterosexual people’s homophobia.”

She was sacked by L’Oreal for an alleged post in which she reportedly wrote: “Honestly I don’t have energy to talk about the racial violence of white people any more. Yes ALL white people.

“Because most of ya’ll don’t even realise or refuse to acknowledge that your existence, privilege and success as a race is built on the backs, blood and death of people of colour.

“Your entire existence is drenched in racism. From micro-aggression to terrorism, you guys built the blueprint for this s***.”

Here she is on Good Morning Britain defending her remarks:

She seemingly has a habit of saying some pretty fruity things about race in a very generalised and, frankly, offensive manner: “Whether aware of it or not, in today’s society the lighter your skin tone (people of colour included) the more social privileges you will be afforded. Whether that’s access to housing, healthcare, employment or credit.”

Oh, and not content with pissing off an entire race of people, an entire gender or those with a specific sexual preference, Bergdorf also branded suffragettes “white supremacists”.

That must have been tricky for Sophia Duleep Singh, a suffragette of Punjabi heritage…But then Bergdorf doesn’t seem to be overly keen on actual facts.

Making assumptions about an entire race of people could, by definition, be deemed prejudice or racist. Making assumptions about an entire gender would, presumably, be sexist. And passing sweeping comments about all people with a particular sexual orientation would also be deemed bigoted, you would assume.

So, by that logic, Labour has appointed someone with extremely prejudiced, divisive views…to front up a forum “to help push through fairer and more effective policy change”.

What do you expect from the party that wants to introduce racial ticket pricing at events? This bizarre notion that Jeremy Corbyn can be ‘for the many, not the few’ at the same time that his party appears to endorse division in society and the relentless pigeon-holing of people has surely been disproved?
