Salt Lake City: Help an Illegal Alien Identity Thief and Get a 60% Discount on Parking Fines

Salt Lake City has long been a sanctuary city–in a sanctuary state. So, it is not surprising that the mayor allows people to pay their “extremely” overdue parking fines at a 60 percent discount in exchange for a $10 donation to (among other groups) Comunidades Unidas, an organization whose nine-person board has two members from a law firm that openly touts its expertise in defending illegal alien identity thieves.

A key focus of this firm is helping illegal aliens avoid the consequences of the rampant identity theft and forgery–felonies–that they routinely engage in. According to Immigrant Defenders:

By most accounts, there are more than 13 million people in the United States illegally. Nearly all of these people buy fake Social Security numbers, purchase false green cards or use forged driver’s licenses. Most of these documents are purchased with the understanding that the ID or identifying number did not belong to anyone. But this is not always the case. In these situations, using these fake Social Security numbers or driver’s licenses becomes identity theft–which is a felony.

{snip} However, the firm does not encourage illegal aliens to forgo the use of fraudulent, forged documents, even though up to 80,000 Utah children are the victims of illegal alien-driven, job-related identity theft. Rather it offers assistance to those engaged in criminal activities, which parenthetically also includes Social Security fraud, to ensure that they are able to stay in the United States in spite of the harm they do to their innocent, American victims:
