While Pursuing Black Suspect, White Officer Uses a Term That Gets Her Suspended Without Pay

Jason Howerton, The Blaze, January 15, 2015

A white Seattle police officer was suspended without pay for 15 days for using what the department determined to be a racial slur during her pursuit of a black domestic violence suspect in October 2013.

Police dash cam video captured Seattle police officer Jennifer Hunt chasing the suspect through downtown Seattle and then yelling at the 32-year-old man, “You’re gonna get your ass shot, boy!”

An internal investigation was reportedly launched after Hunt’s superiors watched the video. Regarding the word “boy,” Seattle PD Sgt. George Davisson said he “expressed deep concern about her word choice,” according to an internal memo obtained by KIRO-TV.

“I explained that regardless how she intended the comment to be taken or what she meant to say, this comment would undoubtedly be viewed in a negative context with police chasing a black male in the streets of Seattle,” he said.

I hope for the suspect’s sake that he did not say any bad words while he was beating up on his woman. that could get him into serious trouble.

    • Speedy Steve

      What color was boy’s boofren?

      • World_War_Me

        LOL, “boofren”, I love it!

  • MekongDelta69

You have an entire race of people who have low IQs and are incredibly violent; but, at the same time (when it suits them and their leftist White masters, and their leftist black race-hustling masters), they become incredibly (and magically) uber-‘sensitive.’

The ‘perpetually offended and oppressed crowd.’

    • Nancy

They LOVE to be offended. Like my mother, they look for opportunities to take offense so they can act out their propensity for rage, and feel justified in doing so.

      • Spikeygrrl

My mother too. So glad she’s dead.

        • Kenner

          Sadly, count me in.

  • superlloyd

I’m sure it had the mental age of 10. In which case, the mode of address was entirely appropriate.

    • Anna Tree

Something similar is in my mind: should we now call 13 years old black thug “man”. so not to be called racist if using “boy”?

Nowadays racism depends on who says the words, not the word itself: what if the officer was black? What if the boy was white?

  • IstvanIN

The absurdity of worrying about the hurt feelings of a fleeing perpetrator of domestic violence. The world is upside down.

  • If you are a white man who is 32 years old or older, remember this story when some black calls you “white boy.”

    • DonReynolds

No….don’t let them write the rules…..except for themselves.
      We write our own rules.
They do not control the narrative or the discussion.
      We do.

      • Spikeygrrl

“We” sure have a funny way of showing it.

    • B Baker

a negro female called me a White boy about 4 years ago in a wal-mart. I quietly called her a ni**er and told her to take her ni**er ass back to the ghetto where everyone knows she belongs. When she threatened to assault me I told her I was on video and would not sue her but sue wal-mart. When I was done calling her the magic word I went back to my truck and she called the police. The police actually called my house and left a message wanting to talk to me. I never called them back, but imagine what they wanted from me? I think they would have arrested me for calling her that even though she was screaming racial slurs.

This was just another reason why I moved overseas, to get away from the coons.

  • Reynardine

So boy is the new n-word?

Boy boy boy boy boy boy boy boooooooooooy!

  • Luca

Negroes have such tender feelings, what gentle beings they are. However, I’ll bet his momma done called him worse den dat.

    • FloridaGal2005

I see stupid whites complaining about this nonsense more than blacks. White people coddle, grovel, and fold to blacks and, often enough, whites are the ones who start the outrage. We have a lot of housekeeping to do. Alienation is one method that will probably work wonders if it would ever get past the starting gate.

      • DonReynolds

Not good enough, and you know it.
Take away the white liberals and the blacks will suddenly get religion.
The blacks are just being used by the Left to beat the rest of us over the head.
Don’t get distracted into pointless fights and arguments with blacks.
        They are not the enemy.

        • Sick of it

Or, to put it more succinctly, they are an enemy easily dealt with.

        • Robert Smith

Yes, we need to keep our eyes on the bouncning ball. The enemy loves to distract us with blacks and Muslims. That is not to say that blacks and Muslims aren’t a serious concern, they are. They are a weapon of the enemy

  • Ograf

Just imagine how the word devastated this poor citizen. He will probably not recover from it, unless he can sue someone for a lot of money. The very idea of calling this fleeing criminal who beat up his girlfriend etc a bad name. The shock of it all. !

  • LexiconD1

Hmm, Guess my son has some cause to beat me then, since I call him ‘boy’ all the time. I also call him ‘child’, wonder what the ‘treatment’ is for that?

  • Henry Higgins

Oh my god, I actually read the quote and thought ‘ass’ was the problem. That’s how contrived black people’s claims are.

    • Henry Higgins

And how much I picked up on the gender issue, which for white women doesn’t exist whenever she’s white and he’s black, in which case no ‘ism’ applies except for color.

    • FloridaGal2005

I don’t see anywhere in the article that the suspect is the one that had the problem with her choice of words. And, the original article even states the complaint did not originate with the suspect.

Fire that officer’s superiors! This country is lost, big time!

      • Robbie Cheney

ALOT of negro terrorism in that part of the country. Wondering why.

  • RacialRay

She could have called him ‘Your Majesty’, and he would have read something equally hateful and white-racist in that, I am sure. There is just no pleasing the permanently aggrieved.

Just as an aside, don’t black women refer to each other as ‘girl’ no matter how old they are? And what ever happened to ‘homeboys’ in reference to yo’ gansta posse?

    • Sick of it

“He’s my boy” is still a part of blackspeak and it carries a positive rather than a negative connotation.

  • guest

Does this mean that when a black woman gives birth to a male baby, doctors are no longer allowed to say “It’s a boy”?

    • That’s right. He’s a “little man.” And in fourteen years, mama will be telling the reporters that he was in the process of turning his life around and trying to make a beeline out of the wrong crowd.

    • Sick of it

“It’s a perpetually oppressed aspiring rapper. Congratulations!”

    • RebelliousTreecko

E-gad! Not only is it racist, but it’s “transphobic” to boot.

  • Michael Mason

She should sue the department. When you are faced with the hatred of liberals because you do something politically incorrect, the only thing to do is fight back. Groveling or apologizing will only encourage them. The Left has gotten stronger and stronger due to our own passivity. The intimidation of our police forces will lead to bad consequences for America, especially since it is happening at the same time the nonwhite population is rising.

  • SentryattheGate

A woman employee of the local utilities got called in to the boss’s office and warned not to say “girl” to her black female co-workers, even though they use that word for each other! A 19 year long employee of Dade County Florida; the only “Anglo” in the department full of Latinas got called “the Americana” with disdain. They got rid of her—fired for not speaking enough Spanish! And she lost her retirement; one year short of the 20 years required!

    • MannyR

It’s extremely common for companies to find ridiculous reasons to fire long time employees right before they hit their pension dates…it’s one of the few times I totally support filing a quick, harsh and substantial lawsuit against the owners personally for wrongful termination.

    • LHathaway

TY for pointing that out. The officer was probably in the wrong, but the overwhelming reality is that defamation against whites is so routine it goes unnoticed. Reality never becomes an issue with these folks.

    • Ograf

Here comes Amy with a gun.

  • Caucasoid88

This was quite the lineup of insanity today, Jared.

    • Tim_in_Indiana

Yeah, I have even more tabs open from Amren today than usual.

  • Tim_in_Indiana

If she had called a white suspect “boy” there would have been no problem and it would never have made the news. But make it a black, and suddenly it becomes “racist” and a national issue.

    • MBlanc46

Blacks call white males “white boy” all the time.

      • Bartek

It is just their way of saying White punk (b….h).

  • Steve_in_Vermont

This officer did not lose her job, she was suspended for 15 days without pay. She’ll return to work at the end of that time. In the meantime I’d like to see the public take up a collection for her to make up her lost salary. Apparently it doesn’t matter what the officer meant, it’s what others THOUGHT she meant that counts. Think about that.

    • With the libtards and their two-legged pets, substance is nothing and image is everything.

    • Xerxes22

She should go to her union and have them file a grievance against the police department. They should be able to get it over turned.

  • Steve_in_Vermont

Is A**H***, or S***H****, or Scumbag, acceptable? I suggest this department, with the help of the NAACP and Rev. “Al”, develop a list of racially acceptable phrases for people of all races.

    • DonReynolds

This is why they want all the cops to be required to wear a camera at all times (on their person).

    • NoMosqueHere

MF would mostly likely be acceptable to blacks.

  • A Freespeechzone

Notice that negroes are ALWAYS offended and the victims–even while they commit crimes.

  • WR_the_realist

You’re not even allowed to mildly insult black thugs.

Blacks like to call white men “boys” all the time and they never get any disciplinary action as a result.

    • Pat Kittle

And the Jew media never has a problem with it, thereby perpetuating it.

      And that’s no accident.

“I explained that regardless how she intended the comment to be taken or what she meant to say, this comment would undoubtedly be viewed in a negative context with police chasing a black male in the streets of Seattle,” he said. – When will black males committing viciously violent crimes against innocent people, then forcing police to chase them through the streets be “viewed in a negative context” by the much ballyhooed, “community”. Instead what we get from the “community” is the “Stop Snitchin” movement.

  • DonReynolds

Never beg or ask forgiveness over these things. It only encourages them.
If it ever becomes a question, they have already decided to can you.
At least leave with some dignity.
I am sure his Mama has called him much worse than “boy” on many occasions.

    • Speedy Steve

I call the police on panhandlers. “Is he black, white, or hispanic?” That’s always the first question.

  • Douglas Quaid

Wow, if you watch the dashcam video the cops are going against traffic on one way streets to get this punk, this guy put lives in jeopardy, yet the scandal is that the officer called him “boy” during the pursuit? Insane. No other way to put it, these people are insane.

  • Robbie Cheney

White Police Officer suspended for addressing negro terrorist. Let me guess: another ADL ‘advised’ police department.

  • Tim

As a former purveyor of violence, (professional bartender) I would never sit on a jury and convict someone of hate speech in a fight. There are times when you need to use harsh language to subdue an opponent and/or convince him of your resolve to not only fight but do him harm….When your opponent is of another race, using racial slurs is the quickest way to convince them that you do not intend to “play by the rules” and will be doubly dangerous… “Dude just called me a ******! White boy must be serious…”

    • IstvanIN

……and there are times when we blurt out something “unpleasant” in the heat of the moment.

  • Pat Kittle

So why was the boy running?

And why does the Jew media not censor anti-white slurs? As if we don’t know. We can hardly even call a Jew a Jew without getting censored.

    The horror!!

  • John Smith

The answer would seem to be leaving that dept. and working in one where you seldom encounter blacks (and white liberals) at all.

  • John Smith

White liberal political appointees got “offended” for him. I’m sure he’ll get a kosher lawyer now and sue after the fact due to his “distress.”

  • FormerlyEdNY

Time to get a job with a police department that supports its officers. Leave for greener pastures now or the job will get you!

    • IstvanIN

Her reputation is probably ruined for life as a cop.

  • Wing-nut.

    Offender gets offended. Hilarious.

  • Fighting_Northern_Spirit

If he were 19, no doubt he would be. But in this case 32 is a bit too old, he’s simply “Seattle man” (e.g. “Seattle man kills three in random attack.”) That always makes me think of archaeological finds like “Kennewick Man” and “Piltdown Man.”

    • Primo

If he were killed, no doubt there would be pictures of him as a toddler wearing a cap and gown blaring on every facet of the msm.

      • Guest

The conversation black parents must have with their children:

“Keep dat cap & gown photo, it may save yo ass.”

      • Speedy Steve

I grew up in all-White schools. There are no pictures of kindergarten graduations anywhere in my household. That ridiculous tomfoolery began with integration.

    • Kenner

      ‘Newark Man’. –I like it.

  • Fighting_Northern_Spirit

“…this comment would undoubtedly be viewed in a negative context with police chasing a black male in the streets of Seattle,”
Yeah, you gotta keep it light and fun when chasing perps through the city. Dress like the Keystone Kops and wear clown shoes. Train dispatchers to say, “you’re on a collision course with wackiness! It’s going to be a laff riot!”

  • Sick of it

Personally, I like Resident in Chief.

  • Primo

    “White boy” still perfectly fine.

    • R. Casimir

Yes, the song “Play That Funky Music White Boy” is a staple of radio still, and played in public venues. Double standard.

      • IstvanIN

That was a White band who recorded that song.

  • Pat Kittle

We really ought to focus on the Jewish supremacists behind the scenes who make these absurdities possible.

In the meantime, don’t forget to celebrate Martin Luther King Day.

  • Reynardine

    Boy President?

    • Canadian Friend

      President O-boy-ma?

  • newscomments70

solution: private militias enforce the law instead of a PC, emasculated police department.

  • B Baker

“I explained that regardless how she intended the comment to be taken or what she meant to say”

I think that is the take away piece. It shows the war we are in regarding free speech. That kind of garbage just makes me worse. I use the term negro now even vocally just because I am so angry that no matter what we say we are attacked. So might as well insult them to the bone rather than not insult them and still get attacked over it.

    • MartelsGhost

negro is still more polite a term than I generally use……………………….

  • Lord Sandwich

Many years ago I made a similar faux pas regarding use of the word boys in relation to black men. It was not meant as an insult, but I learned that it is incumbent of me to know what otherwise normal terms are insults to blacks. It was no big deal. Too bad this LEO stepped in it. She’s in a HEAP -O Trouble, Girl!

  • rentslave

We must find Obama’s adoption papers from Indonesia in order to end this Animal Farm.

  • NoMosqueHere

If you’re gonna get suspended for using racial words, you might as well do the full monty and say: “Freeze N****r!”

  • whatodopeople?

If I was ever to be harassed or bullied on the street, it would be hard for me to refrain from using the N-word.

    • UncleSham

You should never use that word when you are outnumbered, but otherwise, go for it.

  • Korean guy

?? Maybe she was expected to call him “sir”?

  • MartelsGhost

So sad to see the pc police have more power than our actual Police.

She should have just claimed that she suffers from a rare version of tourettes that makes her use old cartoonish euphemisms……………

  • PouponMarx

Maybe she was thinking of converting to Judaism and said, “Goy”.
