It’s Official: America Is Now No. 2

Brett Arends, Market Watch, December 4, 2014

{snip}

There’s no easy way to say this, so I’ll just say it: We’re no longer No. 1. Today, we’re No. 2. Yes, it’s official. The Chinese economy just overtook the United States economy to become the largest in the world. For the first time since Ulysses S. Grant was president, America is not the leading economic power on the planet.

It just happened–and almost nobody noticed.

The International Monetary Fund recently released the latest numbers for the world economy. And when you measure national economic output in “real” terms of goods and services, China will this year produce $17.6 trillion–compared with $17.4 trillion for the U.S.A.

As recently as 2000, we produced nearly three times as much as the Chinese.

To put the numbers slightly differently, China now accounts for 16.5% of the global economy when measured in real purchasing-power terms, compared with 16.3% for the U.S.

This latest economic earthquake follows the development last year when China surpassed the U.S. for the first time in terms of global trade.

{snip}

These calculations are based on a well-established and widely used economic measure known as purchasing-power parity (or PPP), which measures the actual output as opposed to fluctuations in exchange rates. So a Starbucks venti Frappucino served in Beijing counts the same as a venti Frappucino served in Minneapolis, regardless of what happens to be going on among foreign-exchange traders.

PPP is the real way of comparing economies. It is one reported by the IMF and was, for example, the one used by McKinsey & Co. consultants back in the 1990s when they undertook a study of economic productivity on behalf of the British government.

Yes, when you look at mere international exchange rates, the U.S. economy remains bigger than that of China, allegedly by almost 70%. But such measures, although they are widely followed, are largely meaningless. Does the U.S. economy really shrink if the dollar falls 10% on international currency markets? Does the recent plunge in the yen mean the Japanese economy is vanishing before our eyes?

{snip}

Make no mistake: This is a geopolitical earthquake with a high reading on the Richter scale. Throughout history, political and military power have always depended on economic power. Britain was the workshop of the world before she ruled the waves. And it was Britain’s relative economic decline that preceded the collapse of her power. And it was a similar story with previous hegemonic powers such as France and Spain.

This will not change anything tomorrow or next week, but it will change almost everything in the longer term. We have lived in a world dominated by the U.S. since at least 1945 and, in many ways, since the late 19th century. {snip}

Gee, China, a homogeneous country lacking the strength of diversity is number one.

I hope this doesn’t completely undermine the diversity narrative.

    • David Ashton

No, let more Chinese come in and take over. Hongcouver shows the way.

      • Bossman

Hongcouver is certainly not the place that I’ll want to be in the future.

        • Alexandra1973

          Nah, you’d prefer Mexifornia.

          (Couldn’t resist.)

          • Bossman

Well, at least, the women are more curvaceous and Latin culture is more vibrant. The women of East Asia are all vapid creatures with no curves.

          • SlizzardAjeosshi

And no obesity ad no proclivity to spit out children they cannot feed either

          • Fighting_Northern_Spirit

And no slapping on 70lbs and growing a moustache after giving birth to four kids before the age of 20. Somehow I doubt that East Asians are more vapid than people with an average IQ of 87, even if they’re obsessed with money/status.

          • Bossman

The Miss Universe Contest will soon be on. The winner and most of the runner-ups will most likely be Latinas from Latin America as has most often happened in the past.

          • Reynardine

I missed the point where winning the Miss Universe Contest with women who are maybe only 5% of your population justifies the invasion and annihilation of Anglo-Saxon North America.

          • I missed the point where being awarded a prize for being pretty matters very much. I’d rather eat rat-meat on rice every Christmas than consider a greaserita with a mustache even remotely attractive.

          • Dwight

Uh huh. Those that look the most European.

          • Bossman

It means that they can mix well with white Europeans. Something that they’ve been doing ever since Columbus discovered the Americas in 1492. I don’t know and has never heard of an international beauty who was or is half Chinese.

          • Fighting_Northern_Spirit

If we could limit Hispanic immigration to criollos or Spaniards it might be OK, but the vast majority of the ones we get are mestizos or indios, basically rejects from south-of-the-border. We’ve had enough of those, thank you very much.

          • Bossman

I do agree that it would be a big job to assimilate hordes of Mexican Indians. The only reason why the USA did not want to annex all of Mexico is because of that.

          • Michigan Patriot

You noticed this trend since 1965 ? Me, too !

          • ElComadreja

The wonderful world of Hart-Celler. The one Ted Kennedy said wouldn’t effect our demographics.

          • Michigan Patriot

Celler was anti -Christian bigot and Zionist. If he were a member of the Israeli Knissett instead of then Christian America ‘s Congress; he would not vote / allow diverse, non-assimilating, parasitic , third world invaders into Israel ! Why the hypocritical double standard ? See the first sentence.

          • Reynardine

“They mix well.” Asian-white women are far prettier.

          • Bossman

So how come they never win anything and Hollywood has never noticed any of them? I cannot think of any international beauty that is half Chinese. It was as if such people do not exist.

          • Fighting_Northern_Spirit

Phoebe Cates is part Filipino-Chinese, and she’s one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever met.

          • Bossman

She is actually half Russian and half Chinese and was attractive in a little girl sort of way. I may have seen only one of her movies on DVD.

          • Reynardine

I don’t pay attention to whatever is trotted out in the media as “representative” of said race, especially when said media in the US panders to hispanics.

Also, Asians have their own media because they’re smart enough to produce it on their own. Latinos must pretend that the white people who produce Univision are really Mestizos.

          • none of your business

Joan Chen and the girl in crouching tiger hidden dragon. Ultimate beauties and pure han both of them

          • cyrusthevirus

What are you drivelling on about–a race war is actually happening and you talk about bloody irrelevancies !!

          • none of your business

Check out Joan Chen. She was Empress #1 in the Last Emperor. She is pure han and one of the most beautiful women ever existed. She rivals Simonetta Vespucci and Catherine Denueve. There is also the girl in crouching tiger hidden dragon. She is as beautiful as Joan Chen which is ultimate plus ultra beautiful.

Being a woman and not attracted either hourglass curves or slim and flat asian i can judge beauty more objectively than can a man with his built in biases.

          • Atheist Realist

depends, the Indian latin americans are ugly but the ones of Spaniard/mixed ancestry are better looking.

          • none of your business

Those good looking ones are descendants of many 19th and early 20th century immigrants, not just the Spanish. Argentina was never colonized by the Spanish, just occupied by a few soldiers. The population claims to be about 50 per cent italian and about 20 percent English.

Mexico had a huge influx of irish and Germans in the mid 19th century. Many of the upper classes and beauty contest winners are their descendants.

          • hastings88

That pageant is politically-correct B.S. The judges are picked by leftist media producers. It’s an example of nothing but pc propaganda.

          • none of your business

Keep looking at those beauty contest winners. Check out their biographies. Most are descended from irish, English, German, Polish, Czech, Hungarian and Italian immigrants.

          • Bossman

They are beautiful because they are mixtures of Europeans and native Indian women (mestizas.) Raquel Welch was once an American sex symbol. Her mother was Scottish and her father Bolivian. She finally acknowledged her native side by playing a Yaqui Indian in 100 Riffles and an Indian woman in Walkfar woman in a TV movie. I recently streamed both movies. You could do the same and have a better look.

          • ElComadreja

Mestizos are already mixed. Indios are not.

          • hastings88

UNmixed European women are more beautiful. Why are you promoting race-mixing, Bossman?

          • Bossman

I’m not promoting race-mixing. I’m stating the facts as they are on the American continent. The Americas, including North America, would have never become the premier region of the world if the early European bachelors were not able and did not mate with native women.

          • IBWHITE

And a large portion of them will be mostly White with Spanish sounding names.

          • ElComadreja

They will not be mestizos or Indians for the most part.

          • Reynardine

I like how you leftists somehow defend your cultural practices with “at least we’ll have good food” or “vibrancy” or in this instance “curves.”

          • JP Rushton

I read Asian books, watch their shows and play their video games.

Let me know when that great vibrant Latin culture produces something worth consuming…

          • Reynardine

Asians, like Europeans, are a literate culture (one I define as the vast majority is literate, which is 99%+), and we produce items that, despite huge racial and cultural boundaries, can be consumed by each other. With a little cultural understanding, I can read Japanese media translated into English.

South Americans, besides isolated pockets of Europeans in Argentina and Uruguay, cannot really be considered literate cultures: their highest art forms are Luchadores, Dora the Explorer, bribery and rape.

          • none of your business

Spain produced a lot. Latin America not so much actually very little.

          • Speedy Steve

Aw come on! There’s nothing like a chick who says “me love you long time.”

          • DaveMed

            The Latin culture is “vibrant”?

Nice synonym for: illiterate, unhygienic, and completely lacking in any sense for breeding according to their means.

          • Reynardine

Bossman is no doubt referring to the treasured traditional practice of the Tijuana Donkey Show and their rich literate culture contained within the Tijuana Bible.

          • LACountyRedneck

Haha….I heard of those Mexican donkey bars when I was a kid. Most people have no clue what they are.

          • Bossman

Really? So is Jennifer Lopez, one of the richest pop stars, vapid? Is Selena Gomez vapid? Is Sofia Vergara, one of the highest paid TV stars, vapid? A Latina (female) is anyone who identifies with Latin American culture.

          • DaveMed

Rhetorical questions? Yes, yes, and yes.

          • Reynardine

“Vergara was married at the age of 18 to her childhood sweetheart and best friend Joe Gonzalez. She gave birth to their son Manolo in September 1992.They divorced in 1993.”

Par for the Hispanic course. I am surprised however that they even actually got married.

Also, you use Jennifer Lopez and Selena Gomez (the thing Justin Bieber was trying to hot dog) as examples of Hispanics who aren’t vapid? My… god…

Next you’re going to tell me Velveeta is indistinguishable from fine cheddar and Thunderbird is comparable to a 2005 Malbec.

          • none of your business

Jennifer Lopez is very successful. She is attractive in a girl next door way although she tries to be a sex goddess. She is not even a decent actress. She is as American as i am being of Puerto Rican European descent. Selena Gomez is very cute and her Wizards of Waverly place show was great. She is an excellent actress. I’ve never heard of Sofia vergara.

          • ElComadreja

Jennifer Lopez is damaged goods. Her fling with “Puff Daddy” or whatever he calls himself lately took care of that.

          • Screamin_Ruffed_Grouse

            C’mon, get your pronunciations correct!

            “Me ruvv yu rong time!

          • I don’t know about “vapid”, but then perhaps I used to socialize in better circles.

          • Reynardine

When I meet an Asian on campus, they’re usually studying STEM. When I meet a Hispanic on campus, they’re usually tending the lawns.

          • Garrett Brown

Mestizos haven’t celebrated Latin culture for decades, maybe even a century.

          • Bossman

So what are they celebrating? Big Booty? That too is okay with me.

          • Reynardine

Blacks celebrate “Big Booty” far more.

          • Garrett Brown

Most likely some tasty food and some unique dances. Nothing to write home about.

          • silviosilver

Latino culture is complete rubbish. One of the more frustrating aspects of latinos is the fierce pride they have in their moronic cultural ways. It’s especially frustrating because there is probably no people on earth who could gain so much, so quickly and so easily by admitting to themselves that the white man’s culture is superior. I say it’s ‘easy’ for them because a lot of them already practice some of the basics of white culture, so embracing it more wholeheartedly would not be some giant leap into the unknown the way it would for someone in Saudi Arabia. The sooner latinos come to terms with this the sooner they can reap the benefits.

          • Whitesneedtobebrave

You are right. latino culture is mostly sex based and look at their dances, how vulgar they are. Latinos even though they are Catholic, have sex early in life and are not faithful to their spouses.

          • hastings88

So? White men should associate only with white women, and vice-versa.

          • ElComadreja

            Yes.

          • John R

More “vibrant”? That is code word for preferring an inferior non-White culture to our own.

          • none of your business

On average, I think Asian women of all ethnic groups are much better looking than the average hispanic. You are probably thinking of Spanish/European latin women. Most hispanic immigrants don’t have feminine curves, it is just one huge blob of lard. I see the brown bowling balls on stumps with hideous features every day in Los Angeles. Hispanic indians are the ugliest people on earth. It is not just the dwarfish bowling ball body either.

Their faces are actually hideously ugly. The face is overwhelmed by the fat cheeks, as though a cantaloup was stuffed in each cheek. The noses are like a potato, an ugly and too large blob. The lips are a shapeless mass, not like the full but shapely lips of blacks.
The worst of the hispanic indian face is that the enormous fat cheeks overwhelm everything else.

Their bellies measure about 70 inches. The do not have waists at all, just the huge belly. Th e bones of their backs, shoulders and hips are extremely wide. Even if they were thin the wide torso would be horrible. The women are like asians, very flat bust and hips on those extremely wide chest and hip bones

The enormous torso is balanced on extremely short legs with tiny little short arms. They truly are built like dwarves.

Stop looking at those Miss Mexicos. They are not coming to America. The brown bowling balls are. Anyway, most of the beauty contest winners and actresses from Latin America are not even descendants of Spanish colonizers. They are descendants of 19th and early 20 th century immigrants from many European countries.
FRom about 1800 to 1950 Latin America had as many European immigrants as Canada and the USA.

          • Bossman

When did they become squat monsters? That is not the way Columbus described them when he first saw them. Here is what he said: …. Some Indians paint themselves a blackish color…Some paint themselves red… and some white…They are generally of good stature, fine appearances and well built…they ought to be good servants …. and would easily become good Christians because it seems to me that they belong to no creed.
            —-Friday, October 12, 1492.

There is also a big difference between a humble Indian and a real mestizo.

          • Whitesneedtobebrave

I agree, the mestizo women are ugly as hell. Even some asian women like filipino women are fat an ugly like mexican women. I cannot understand how handsome white men have sex and marry with these ugly women.

          • ghettovalley

All of the latinas that I know are obese, have 5+ kids with different random guys, and they collect so much welfare that it would make a bantu blush.

Vancouver area is full of mosques , as well. I see Muslims everywhere on the tram system. There are some Muslims who are decent people, hard working, attractive women, etc…there are also a percentage of folks in that population who will eventually plant bombs on the tram, which mutilate and kill.

      • Dwight

The power of cheap labor. Plain and simple. Not only do U.S. companies employ low-cost laborers in China (and Mexico) to save billions in labor costs but so does nearly all of Europe. Products are built much more cheaply in China then sold for a cheaper price abroad. This is what has made companies like Wal-Mart so fantastically successful. Seems like a good deal for consumers too until it is their job being exported.

        • Cecil Broomsted

China has two things (and only two things) that are highly desirable: inexpensive labor and inexpensive products.

          • Dwight

Yep. Look for the, “Made in China,” logo as proof of that truth. Not surprised their economy is booming. They trade in flesh which is very lucrative.

San Francisco is overwhelmed by Chinese slave prostitutes in the massage parlors and brothels. Strange, in the heartland of militant feminazis there are underage girls being raped every day by the thousands in ultra liberal unltra compassionate San Francisco.

They are locked in and cannot leave the buildings in which they are held.

          • KenelmDigby

Actually, it won’t be too long before wages in China surpass those in western Europe and the USA.
Believe it or not, in certain Chinese regions – regions that are big coal producers – it’s probably true right now.
Just look at Singapore and Hong Kong. Not too long ago, westerners used to sneer at them as being ‘sweatshops’ full of ‘coolies’, now both regions are far, far richer than anything the west has to offer, and you don’t hear the sneers anymore.
As long as the EU continues with its fetish for economic stagnation and mass third world immigration, it can be written off. And no one really doubts that in the near future the bulk of the American workforce will be black/brown.

          • Bossman

The Chinese don’t want to stay in China; they all want to come to the USA. As much as 60% of Chinese millionaires want to immigrate to North America.

          • John R

For now, that is. Wait until we, too, become a Third World nation.

          • none of your business

True. They have been buying up property on the West coast of America and Canada since we opened to China 40 years ago.

          • ghettovalley

The Hispanics don’t want to stay in South America. How can you say one day that Asian immigration into the US is horrible, and then the next day tell us how great and beneficial it is that hispanics are flooding into the US at far greater rates? At least the Chinese come here legally and generally behave like human beings. The Mexican neighborhoods in America are just as filthy and dangerous as the black ones.

        • Anna Tree

I try to buy white as much as I can.
I may buy Chinese plastic products (often there is no other choice), but if I want a product that lasts (and/or not poisonous), I will try to pay more and buy white for sure.
The problem with cheap is that it breaks and goes quick to the landmine and we have too much garbage already.

        • David Ashton

Yes, why employ anyone born and bred in your “own” (read “owned”?) country if someone elsewhere in the global population can be imported to do the job more cheaply? The unemployed white natives can then buy enough at cut price from their welfare checks, and “free trade” theory can triumph. The super-rich can isolate themselves from any adverse sociocultural consequences in gated communities and expensive yachts, and use the cosmopolitan morass for their pick of “recreational” drugs and call-girls. The age of the saint, soldier and scholar passes away, as the age of der Letzte Mensch arrives. But at least “the one thing they cannot destroy is our integrity” (Spengler).

They also have zero political-economic power to boot. The Chinese don’t have altruism or compassion in their DNA. They have to learn that silliness in the West.

Case in point the Chinese American with 3 adopted Black kids who are incarcerated in Qatar on changes of homicide.

America is now the Petrie dish of bad socialist ideas.

    • OyVey00

China is actually not that homogenous. They have LOTS of minorities and even the Han Chinese (the largest ethnic group) speak multiple mutually unintelligible languages.

Most Chinese have a common cultural identity though, being part of the historical Sinosphere. It’s mainly the Muslims who are making trouble (who would’ve thought) through separatism and terrorism.

“Made in the US” by illegal invading mexicans rings somewhat hollow in my opinion.

Check out the electronic sections of Wal-Mart or BestBuy. Phones, TVs, computers, etc. etc., made in China pops up everywhere. Even Wal-Mart’s shoes are made in China for $1.75 then sold by Wal-Mart for $19.95. That’s great unless you are an American shoe maker using American employees.

          • Sparky

I have seen some American made boots and shoes sold at Walmart. That isn’t saying much though because the “American” employees are actually “undocumented” Mexicans.

Even Tonka toy trucks are now made of plastic in China. They used to be made of metal and sturdy enough to be heirlooms. Even the paint could last 2 generations.

      • anew

Yes, until now, countries have never gotten old before they’ve gotten rich. In the coming decades though, a lot of middle-income places, like China and Brazil, are going to do just that. Conventional wisdom is that this will hinder their economic development. Automatization may help some, but demand has to come from somewhere too.

I disagree though with the author’s disregard for nominal GDP. Poorer countries always have a relative advantage in real purchasing-power GDP for the simple reason that part of the reason that costs are lower is that the people are poorer, so costs have to come down to what the people can afford. Purchasing-power GDP is a good measure of the cost-of-living, but nominal GDP is a better measure of international economic power i.e. how much you can buy on the global market. Potential military power is probably best measured by taking each into account equally.

        • SlizzardAjeosshi

I’m not trying to put down the Western Hemisphere but the way the GDP is calculated tends to skew a lot in favor of economies with a big public sector.

A lot of the high European GDP is actually due to the abundance of public goods of fairly questionable marginal utility.

In terms of private consumption many supposedly rich European economies seem semi-sovietized, or at least this is the impression i get the few times i came back in the 2 years and a half i spent in Asia.

(the UK, a country without a particularly high showing of GDP per capita, seems to be the only well-developed consumer economy in Europe, at the level of, say, N. America, Singapore or Korea)

          • none of your business

From my observations France and Germany, particularly Germany have far better developed consumer economies than the UK. But that’s just me.

        • PPP is a great comparative measure, right up to the point where one must import something like crude oil.

        • silviosilver

“Nominal GDP” has a separate meaning in economics to what you’re using it to mean here. “Exchange-rate GDP” is what you are talking about and I agree with your point.

      • Rhialto

This is a problem that all countries must face in stabilizing their populations. Wise use of automation and a people that have a strong commitment to the nation’s future can get through the transition.

      • SlizzardAjeosshi

No Asian country has ever invested serious resources in a well-funded pension system.

China is not different, they will simply let their elders rot in miserable lonely poverty and die. Korea is particularly brutal in this approach (especially if you compare the harsh life of senior citizens to the turbocharged consumerism of the under 40 generation of Koreans, arguably the biggest spenders in the world) but being an old guy/gal is not a joke in Japan either

        • Sick of it

Wow, I thought older Japanese were well cared for. What kind of system do they have for the elderly in Japan?

          • Normally things are OK there, but eldest – or only – sons are expected to care for their widowed mothers.

          • Juggernaut3000

Because the Japanese population is crashing (their young females prefer designer dogs to babies) they have a choice: import 3rd world Africans, Hispanics and/or Muslims to help “prop up the economy” and “take care of the elderly” as Whites in Britain and the U.S. have been told OR they could utilize technology and create robots to take care of their elderly.

Obviously they want to keep Japan Japanese and haven’t been infiltrated by the likes of Tim Wise and others of his ilk demanding that Japan open up its borders to the Third World, so the Japanese opted for robotics.

They dont’ want to go down the same path as the U.S. and import fast-breeding blacks and other non-Japanese that will eventually make the native population a minority in their own country.

Plus, I understand the Japanese are considering paying their young females to have babies.

          • LexiconD1

The Japanese are raised with Japan first attitudes, too. They don’t believe in race mixing, and it is not encouraged in Japanese society.

          • Juggernaut3000

Maybe if more Whites felt this way instead of “helping the other,” not their own, we wouldn’t be fading into minority status in the countries our ancestors founded FOR us, their posterity.

          • Juggernaut3000

The Japanese have a long history of bloody colonialism but are not held responsible for it as all Whites are today, including Whites who were born many generations after colonialism ended. Yet Whites children are forced to feel “guilt” for any “past acts” their ancestors may or many not have committed in some nebulous past.

They’re not subjected to and bombarded with Cultural Marxism or Tim Wise types telling them from birth the most horrible thing they could possibly do is identify with their own kind and the noble thing they could do is die out.

          • kjh64

The reason the Japanese have so few kids is that Japan is very crowded and expensive, not some silly idea that Japanese women want designer dogs as opposed to babies. Couples decide together how many kids to have, not the women alone. Men aren’t the ones who want to have large families either. Women are more likely than men to want more kids.

          • Juggernaut3000

May I strongly suggest you read the following “silly” articles before posting misinformation again:

            http //theweek com/article/index/254923/everything-you-need-to-know-about-japans-population-crisis

“The Japanese now have one of the lowest fertility rates in the world, and at the same time, one of the highest longevity rates. As a result, the population is dropping rapidly, and becoming increasingly weighted toward older people. After peaking seven years ago, at 128 million, Japan’s population has been falling — and is on a path to decline by about a million people a year. By 2060, the government estimates, there will be just 87 million people in Japan; nearly half of them will be over 65. Without a dramatic change in either the birthrate or its restrictive immigration policies, Japan simply won’t have enough workers to support its retirees, and will enter a demographic death spiral. Yet the babies aren’t coming.

If they were equal to the U.S. they’d have to have an economy that’s 10 times as large. As it rests now, China is dependent in the US consumer market to buy their junk, one in seven of all containers of goods exported over seas from the PRC goes to Walmart alone!

Chinese per capita GDP is not an easily identifiable measure either: big cities hover around the 15k-35k area (nominal), urban coastal China has basically a level of development comparable to Southern Europe.

Rural China is around the level of Morocco, inland cities like Chongqing are somewhat in the middle: not too different from Romania, Bulgaria etc.

    • KenelmDigby

If China continues with economic growth rates of around 10% per annum, then it doesn’t take a genius to work out that their pet capita GDP will quadruple in 14 years. And of course, at that time they will be at present American levels of per capita GDP.
Least ways, in around 10 years and likely sooner, the Chinese will be at the same point Americans were in the mid 1970s.

    • Bossman

Yeah, That is so depressing. North America will be a very strange place when the hordes of East Asia take over.

      • Reynardine

At least Asian food doesn’t taste like refried bean slop with cancerrhea meat.

        • Bossman

I don’t know what “cancerrhea” meat is but all I know is that it couldn’t be worse than having dog meat, rat meat, snake meat, monkey meat and other types of disgusting “bushmeat” on the menu. All the above are favorite dishes in East Asian countries.

          • Snake is perfectly good. It tastes like chicken. Construction drove a four-foot rattlesnake into my neighborhood from what had been a vacant lot to the east. There are small children here, including my daughter, so I didn’t want it around. We already have harmless – unless one is a squirrel or a rabbit – gopher snakes here, so I killed the rattler. I cleaned it, filleted it, fried up the meat in a skillet, and yes, we ate it. I boiled the bones in water to make a decent broth, ran that through coffee filters and then used that broth to cook the rice that went with the dish. I made the sauce out of Dijon mustard, garlic and olive oil.

We’ve had alligator, too, though sadly the weather in Colorado is too cold for them. I’d like to go crossbow hunting for them someday. In addition to the meat, I’d add the skull to my skull collection and I’d also have some nice boots and my wife a good handbag into the bargain.

The trick to eating large reptiles is that since the parasite load in any predator is usually fairly high, one must cook them rather thoroughly. Like birds, they also often carry salmonella bacteria, which again makes cooking important. Don’t eat the internal organs: freshwater animals often have liver flukes.

Ever heard of capybaras? Those are South American rodents about the size of small pigs (up to 200 pounds), and are widely consumed by the greaseritos y greaseritas there. I understand that the meat is somewhat fatty, though grilling it would allow the resulting grease to run off through the grate onto the charcoal, which would lend a nice flavor as it burned off the coals.

Let’s face it, no major policy change will take place in this country unless it benefits a certain segment of society.

Slave wages in China are a thing of the past, factory workers now generally bring home around 500 $ a month plus bonus and a few perks here and there. Not exactly a Goldman CEO compensation package but salaries like that are not unknown in parts of Southern Europe either and with the Hartz IV pckage of reforms even Germany now has a substantial population of working poors working for nominal salaries (in some cases lower than China) and kept alive by some sort of universal dole.

I am confident that the Chinese will learn sooner than the Europeans that blacks bring problems with they wherever they go.

      • I have heard that they really discourage black immigration to China and don’t want their current population of blacks to grow uncontrollably. They seem to take at least of modicum of care [unlike the US] in ensuring that Han Chinese remain the dominant demographic in China.

Also, if they’re wise, they’ll take note when black violence in the US explodes. This whole business of Brown & the fat one who died from cardiac arrest is going to make policing in the US a lot less proactive & a lot more guarded/ cautious.

In 2001, as a result of percieved police brutality, policing of black areas was diminished. “A city that averaged about 8 shootings a year before the riots averaged more than 350 a year by 2005.” In fact the withdrawal of the police force was then deemed ‘racist’.
from “Guns, Blacks, and Steel” locatn 1538 & ff., Paul Kersey

Don’t forget a rising standard of living which will raise the cost of goods produced in China and make them too expensive too import to the USA, as well as the longstanding destructive practice of devaluing their currency to keep the price of their goods competitive.

Factor in China’s greater population pressures against the USA’s ability to shift its manufacturing needs to the cheapest viable 3rd world countries when needed (historically think Japan, Germany, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico, et al), the USA’s advantage at producing its own energy when needed, and the USA’s nuclear umbrella ( still the most formidable in the world ) and I would say that China is still at a sizable disadvantage, despite the USA’s very real internal problems.

And back office and a lot of IT jobs to India. And for jobs that couldn’t be exported, they’ve imported Mexicans.

“That is because greedy CEOs and shareholders moved all general labor production line jobs to China…..”

      Hello

I also noticed that many “customer support” jobs went overseas to India. Whenever I attempt to contact the customer support, India answers. I will acknowledge that they are mostly polite and do what they can to help me.

What is unfortunate is, those jobs are continuously going to India even if North American workers can do the job just as well as workers in India can.

And those companies will continue to move those jobs to India even if those companies make billions and billions of dollars on top of their already existing billions of dollars they have already earned.

The most successful bank in Canada is RBC which stands for Royal Bank of Canada, and RBC had attempted to move some existing jobs to India.

And it upset the entire population in Canada…. including me. Local Canadians would have agreed that it was an understandable situation if RBC truly could not find suitable workers in Canada, or those were entirely brand new positions, but what RBC was doing was replacing some of its existing workers who were doing their job just fine

I remember when the state of New Jersey unemployment agency outsourced much of the work to India. I hate the fact that all government jobs go to non Whites but there is one rationale for a big government sector. It provides jobs and decent careers and those employees buy houses, food, clothes and cars and help keep the consumer economy going.

Ironic, an agency supposed to help create jobs in New Jersey moved half their own jobs to India.

This means in how goods and services are valued. They now produce greater value than does the USA. In terms of goods and services produced, China has been out producing us for at least 3 or 4 years. They make and consume more cars than we do. They make and consume more high tech goods than we do. They make and consume more steel than we do. They make and consume more trains, plane and infrastructure than we do. And the list goes on and on. We send them wheat and they send us iphones and steel.

Meanwhile (this is a source of enormous humor to the Chinese), we borrow money from them so we can buy their stuff. I’m sure Hillary/Romney/Bush/Other Dummy will turn things around and put us on the right track.

This is a no brainer. On top of this, I can easily predict where we are going……what rank is mexico? That will be our rank in a hundred years, maybe even sooner.

    • Latino Nationalist

Mexico is ranked 14th and expected to be in the top 10 by 2022. This according to Goldman Sachs.

      • SlizzardAjeosshi

15th last year (Check the IMF stats on wiki), Mexico with 120 million people has an economy smaller than S. Korea with 50 million citizens.

The growth rate of the country has been abysmal for the past generation or so, for being a country with such a low level of development.

Goldman forecasts are, generally speaking, trash

While we are standing around playing baby games with societies loser and pussyfoot with the negros, China is taking over the world. And their key advantage is they don’t have diversity sinking their society.

    • phillyguy

      exactly right.

  • OyVey00

Well, it was inevitable since there are 1.2 billion Chinese and they are not dysfunctional like Africans or Indians. China had been held back by centuries of civil war, but they’re back at the top now.

You’d think that America would at least try to defend its position as economic superpower, but rather than trying to stay competitive they’re more concerned with getting more negroes in their companies and meddling in the Middle East to help Israel.

I think John Derbyshire was right when he wrote that the US has been in a downwards spiral since the 1970s. The question is just: Where is the bottom?

    • While I was in federal prison, I quickly realized that there is no “bottom”, and wrote about it at the time. One guy who’d had a car dealership was in for producing and using methamphetamines. When someone told him that I had been a research chemist, all he could talk about to me was meth. He was on short-time, just about to be released, and the poor idiot wanted to go back to that. I told him that my organic chemistry was weak (untrue) and that I had made metal-oxide ceramics (true), so he left me alone.

I have no doubt whatever that he’s back in, after wrecking whatever was left of his health. One can’t save some of these people. This applies on a national and cultural level as well. The Pit has no bottom, and I got a good look down into it.

      • MBlanc46

I fear that you’re right, Michael. That doesn’t mean that we’ll continue in free fall, but it does mean that there’s no automatic braking system. If we’re going to get the ship righted, it will take a lot of effort. I think that it will also take the breaking of the control of the elites.

        • In my case, I landed on a narrow ledge and climbed back up from there. The fact that on my part it was Grade-A hatred and never drugs probably also helped me, though that same implacable hatred had earlier saved me, so it was hard to let it go.

I had to make a decision about what I wanted the rest of my life to look like, and that wasn’t it.

        • crockadoodle6

Getting the ‘ship righted’ will be difficult. I have been working multiple decades in a teaching hospital
making rounds on postpartum floors. Our medical methods and ‘miracles’ have insured we
reverse stack both genotypic and phenotypic quality. We are now getting the results of three
decades of really bad protoplasm breeding nonstop with no control other
than jail. And the simple medical complications have increased
logarithmically over the generations. They have not remained unchanged. The weakened idiots are now having super idiots who, no doubt,
will further erode any hope for a robust gene pool that could produce a
rebound. THAT is what makes this time in history unique, IMHO. In the past, nature took care of the marginal ‘stock’ naturally. We are as obsessed with encouraging the woman with severe congenital heart disease to breed as we are with saving the spotted owl. This ‘ante up’ in the genetic sweepstakes is just the beginning. Placing an immersion blender in our gene pool will be the real story of our self-destruction. The economic trajectory of the US is just a symptom.

      • IstvanIN

For individuals rock-bottom is death, I suppose. And much is the same for nations. The US is done I just hope my people survive.

      • Evette Coutier

I don’t mind the pit, Michael. What I hate is that our pro-multicultural government is covering the ladder out for white people with grease so we can’t make the climb.

      • none of your business

You are right about sinking and sinking and never reaching the bottom. The catering to blacks, the massive immigration of street crime level hispanics and White collar Russian, Asian, Armenian, Persian, israeli and India criminals whose standard business practices are illegal in America and common in their crooked disfunctional home countries just gets worse and worse.

From my perspective our government was taken over by a malignant force around 1956 and put the country on a downward spiral since. The soviet union was responsible for the earlier destruction, but the evil empire crashed in 1990. Things should have gotten better but they have gotten worse with Duke Lacrosse team, Zimmerman and now Darren Wilson.

The police have been told loud and clear by our federal government. “Enforce the law against blacks and you will be destroyed.”

      • Whitesneedtobebrave

WHy were you in Federal prison.

  • Albert

I was surprised to learn this semester that China had overtaken Japan to become the 2nd leading economy. To hear that they are now first, this is truly jaw dropping. High time we started investing in our own labor to produce goods instead of sending our production jobs overseas.

    • willbest

Its based off a metric that is measured in unicorn farts and leprechaun spit.

  • willbest

Purchasing Power is an even more made up metric than GDP, and lets talk about how accurate any data coming out of country that
    1) Has a banking sector that would make Gordon Gekko blush
    2) Has no qualms with pumping toxic chemicals into drinking water or into products meant for human consumption to make a buck
    3) Riots in the streets when their children aren’t allowed to cheat on high school/college entrance exams
    4) Oh disappeared 40 million girls to circumvent idiotic family planning laws.

    • Jimmy Joseph

Yeah like our banking sector is really “honest” and “transparent”. You are kidding yourself thinking that our GDP is a real number.

PPP is a much more accurate gauge. It takes into account currency fluctuations. Also, China now produces more goods than the USA since 2011. This is probably the most important metric to use.

  • MBlanc46

I’ve never had much for the “We’re number one!” nonsense, but the American people built the largest economy in the world with their energy, hard work, and innovation. Our elites have handed it to the Chinese in order to enrich themselves even further.

  • Michigan Patriot

Our globalist elite, traitorous, anti-white Christian , unconstitutional , political parties caused this decline. Destroy representative democracy and elect a new third world parasitic, non-assimilating aliens via taxation without representation , aka, 1965 Immigration & Reform Act ( of treason & ethnic cleansing ).

  • Tsar Alexander

As much as I don’t trust Chinese nationalists, and think long run,
that they pose a threat to the west; at this point in human history, I’d
rather have the Chinese take over the economic dominance (with Russia
maybe providing military support), while the petrodollar funded diversity empire crashes and burns.

At this point, we can only begin rebuilding the health of the western races once the
American political-economic system collapses, and we can no longer
intimidate the rest of the western world (or for that matter, our own
states and localities) into accepting some Soviet grade ideological
    garbage.

  • Jimmy Joseph

The Chinese and the East will be the future.

The feminist multicultural White Western world is on a terminal decline.

Due to feminism, the White birth rate has literally collapsed over the last 30 years (and is only getting worse with each passing year).

This has led to an influx of immigrants to “keep the economy strong with new people”.

Unless the West ends feminism and by extension “multiculturalism”, we’re finished.

    • Interested Party

“Due to feminism, the White birth rate has literally collapsed over the last 30 years (and is only getting worse with each passing year).”
Younger whites are not stupid. They will eventually figure there will be no pension or state handouts for them when they get older. They will realize the solution is to have children who will take care of them when they can no longer take care of themselves. That is how it worked before the nanny state took over and made people feel secure about getting old or sick. At that point, the white birth rate will increase.

  • Jimmy Joseph

The Average White Knight Nationalist is a pathetic weak simp. He loves to talk about the “Juden” or yell “Heil Hitler” like he is some kind of old school Nazi.

Unfortunately, this clown doesn’t wear the pants in his own house. The average pathetic White Knight Nationalist includes:

    1) Works blue collar job 8-10 hours day breaking his back for an ungrateful wife/girlfriend who is perpetually unhappy that he is only “blue collar”. He is usually comes home to a wife that doesn’t cook for him because she is “tired” but demands this simp pays all the household bills because he is “the man”.
    2) Has a fat wife that he dares not put on a diet because she states she is a “real woman”
    3) His own wife is watching Sex in the City and lusting after Mr Big while Mr White Nationalist is crying about the “Juden” in the background.
    4) Is often divorce raped with half of his assets, alimony, etc taken while his ex wife has “moved on”.

Yeah we have a good shot at turning this around lol

    • SlizzardAjeosshi

Sorry but if you think family dynamics in the Far East are any different, you are, pardon my rudeness, deluding yourself.

NOw generally speaking here’s how family life goes in an average (let’s say Korea, HK or middle class Beijing) developed Asia nation:

In order to get married average millennial Mr. Kim/Leung/Wong has to produce a fully owned apartment in a modern condo tower replete with all the trinkets of modern life to his long time girlfriend/future bride.

In order to do that he has to endure years of hard work and painful savings (threatened by the lavish lifestyle of his little precious half)…all this after a youth spent being brutalized by a prison camp-like school system.

As money is still not enough our valiant salaryman has to basically prostrate and humiliate himself in front of his parents to secure the funds to make his petulant piece of poon happy with the lodging and the wedding (average cost for a ceremony in HK and Korea: 70k $$).

Then their life together begins, marred by long hours at the office and absolutely no romantic life at home.

Wifey generally spend all her free time drooling over the flower boys you can see in Korean tv dramas, gossiping online with female friends or shopping around, if not downright cheating with losers met on Line/Kakao/WeChat/QQ etc etc

If a child is produced his/her care is generally delegated to some poor illiterate Indonesian or Pinoy nanny (in HK/SG and even Taiwan) or the exhausted, physically and emotionally spent, grandparents (in Kr and China).

When our yellow male hero come back home his presence is barely acknowledged, more often than not verbal abuse is hurled at him by his contemptuous wife pissed off that her life doesn’t resemble the characters from My love from the Stars.

Ah he’s also expected to relinquish the control of the family finances (including his own salary) as soon as he gets married.

Now i am all in all an admirer of East Asian cultures and societies but trust me: a healthy family life is NOT one of the advantages they have over the West.

We have no shortage of monstrous female specimens around here

      • Jimmy Joseph

Actually that is partially true but not the full story. Sure the man has to be well off and a provider, which was always the way it was under the traditional method. However, the men ARE the head of the household.

The Chinese supreme court has specifically made the divorce laws that women CAN’T take the men’s assets in divorce. Unlike in America, where a man can be thrown out of his home, have his assets taken, alimony, etc.

Also, women over 26 in China are called “leftovers” on public television.

The idea of feminism doesn’t exist.

      • Jimmy Joseph

In Japan, the men are literally boycotting the women in the Herbivore movement which includes about 70% of Japanese men in their 20s and 30s.

China has very good sex relations in terms of gender roles, which I have explained below.
