Obama: ‘Our Future Rests’ on the Success of DREAM Kids

Joel Gehrke, National Review, June 11, 2014

President Obama reminded Democratic donors that “our future rests” on the success of people brought to the United States illegally as children, who would qualify for citizenship if Congress had passed the DREAM Act.

“About 30 to 40 percent of the kids in this school, by the way, are DREAM kids,” Obama said Wednesday evening. “You wouldn’t know it looking at them, because they are as American as apple pie. But every single one of these kids, you might not be able to tell the difference, but a whole bunch of them–they’re worried about whether or not they’re going to be able to finance their college education because of their immigrant status. They’re worried about whether, in fact, this country that they love so deeply loves them back and understands that our future rests on their success. Why wouldn’t we want to give them that certainty that you are part of the fabric of this nation, we’re counting on you, and we’re going to make sure you succeed? Why wouldn’t we want to do that?”

Obama made the comments at a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser in Massachusetts, in reference to students at Worcester Tech. “So these young people are graduating, ready to go to college, but also certified nurses, EMT folks. Many of them are choosing to join the military and will contribute to our country in this way,” he said. “And looking out as I was speaking to them and then shaking their hands, and giving them hugs and high-fives and all the things that kids do on a graduation, I thought to myself: How could we not want to invest in these kids?”

Vice President Joe Biden also said Wednesday that increasing immigration would boost the economy, though he extended the argument beyond the DREAM Act kids.

“We need it badly from a purely–purely economic point of view,” Biden said Tuesday, per The Hill. {snip}

When your prez. says “we”, he is referring to himself and his admirers and supporters, not to Non-Liberal White men.

How many of you white boys born after 1990 think Obama is 100% correct? 75% of you? More? I think a few years of being affirmative actioned out of the job market will do wonders. It’s better than having some literal sense knocked into you.

Our future depends on thousands of low intelligence 16 year old current or future gang bangers pouring across the border? If they make a country great, why couldn’t they make their own countries great?

Mexicans : Somehow they are good for America but bad for Mexico.

      • Whitetrashgang

Wow that’s a quote of the week if not the year.

      • Einsatzgrenadier

If mass third world immigration is so amazing for the economy and drives technological innovation, why don’t we just send them all back to Mexico? I think Mexico has every right to enjoy the benefits of a larger economy, more prosperity and more innovation, all of which comes with endless, massive third world immigration.

      • Lagerstrom

        Good one So Cal!

    • 4321realist

      Absolutely EXCELLENT point.

We’re getting the worst their countries have to offer, which is just like a giant Mariel Boat Lift from south of the border.

Eliminating a selective process to get the most needed, the best and the most skilled, is going to prove to be an absolute disaster.

Obama is thrilled with them because the achievement/intelligence gap between them and blacks is smaller than between blacks and whites.

And that gap between blacks and Hispanics is going to widen even more as they get better educated.

    • redfeathers

A couple of nights ago Brit Hume of Fox News said something similar about these young invaders as Obama did. At the time I was surprised, he usually makes sense. But then again he’s an elitist beltway insider and I shouldn’t have been surprised. So I enjoyed watching the troubled look on his face when Cantor lost.

    • I am an American, but I am Provisional Irish Republican Army all the way through and out the other side. I joined when I was 10. IRA all the way in this household. I do not agree with their socialist agenda, but Irish freedom and reunification are valuable to me, and then the Scots are going to beat the living daylights out of the English. They have it coming.

      Mayumi Ueno knew.

      • IstvanIN

I am sorry you are into inter-racial genocide.

      • Petronius

My wife was wounded in the IRA’s bombing of Regent’s Park (1982).

The IRA are equal opportunity murderers.

They kill without regard to age, sex, race, or nationality of their victims.

They kill, torture, and maim the very Irish people they claim to represent.

They blow-up Mothercare shops and McDonald’s restaurants to kill and maim babies and mothers.

They are bloodthirsty lunatics and professional criminals who should be put down like rabid dogs.

        • I did things for the Provisional Irish Republican Army when I was ten years old. I do not agree with the political ambitions of the socialists within the IRA, but I very much want a reunited Ireland and an independent Scotland and Wales.

I believe some are mistaken, but the Provisional IRA’s main mission should always be the reunification of Ireland. The worst part about the inter-religious conflict is that one would have difficulty finding three people more closely related than the Scots, Welsh and Irish.

I have been been Provisional IRA since I was ten years old, so that is now 38 years. My parents never were, but I was recruited.

I am terribly sorry about your poor wife. I do not believe in everything they do. The very fact that we are Celts means we naturally disagree with each other. Celts always quarrel.

I must also disagree with some of them stealing and robbing, but what was done to Scotland, Ireland and Wales was also plainly wrong. Do you believe in the English helotizing Celts?

          • Guest

“Do you believe in the English helotizing Celts?”

Absolutely not! However, the government of a reunified and independent Ireland must be absolutely secular. No theocratic rule or political representation of any kind. Absolute separation of church and state is a not-to-be compromised prerequisite. Thomas Jefferson was right about the supreme lunacy of Christian Theology and its endless disputes and the horrendous crimes done in its name.

“The very fact that we are Celts means we naturally disagree with each other. Celts always quarrel.”

On YouTube you can find an Irishman (another Celt you may enjoy disagreeing with!) talking about religion. I’ve no idea what his politics may be — and I don’t really care. He’s talking here about religion. Just put ” The Importance of a Mystical Perspective ” into the YouTube search.

      • Andy

If we nursed every grievance we could, half (more?) of Europe would be killed off in border disputes and revenge killings. I am sympathetic to various Celtic nationalisms, and would like to see these nations preserve their cultures and run their own affairs, but to promote violence between the people of the British Isles is absurd. English and Irish nationalists should be working on preventing their countries from becoming Arabia, not quarreling over a couple of counties.

        • Isn’t independent government and secure borders a part of nationalism?

          • Andy

Yes, but giving the English a beating because they have it coming is not.

        • Petronius

          1. Under the Good Friday Agreement (1998) approved by a majority of the voters in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, it was decided that Northern Ireland will remain in the UK until a majority of its people vote otherwise. The majority in Northern Ireland voted to remain in UK. However, if they vote for union with southern Ireland in the future, the UK is bound to honor the vote.

          2. A Scottish independence referendum was held in 1979 but resulted in a pro-Union vote. In 1997, a second referendum was held and the vote went against complete independence but resulted in a new Scottish parliament. Another referendum on Scottish independence is scheduled for later this year on 18 Sep.

          3. There is an independence party in Wales but it is supported by less than 5 percent of the Welsh electorate.

          • Andy

The Welsh, Scottish, northern Irish, Cornish, Manx, and Bretons can and are working on reviving their languages and preserving their traditions without complete separation. If they wish to have their own countries, I don’t think England should stop them, but I think it would be unwise for them to break Britain up. When I said “run their own affairs”, I was not really taking a position on whether they should decide to be entirely separate politically, but promoting localism and nationalism through public holidays and heritage languages and that sort of thing.

          • Andy

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the IRA Catholic, with its targets being Protestants?

        • Petronius

The IRA is anti-Protestant but it chooses its victims indiscriminately without regard to religion.

It is a criminal organization like the Mafia, only far more ruthless, violent, and unprincipled. Today the IRA is chiefly engaged in narcotics trafficking, extortion, prostitution of immigrant girls from Eastern Europe, and bank robbery. Also unlike the Mafia, the IRA has its own political arm, Sinn Fein, which is socialist-communist in doctrine and is led by the woman-killer Gerry Adams.

        • They’re nationalists. The fact that the targets are usually Protestants and not specifically the English – which means Presbyterian Scots – has always troubled me. The Irish Protestants are normally of Scottish ancestry. That’s why they are Protestants and not Church of England. Some of the IRA’s original heroes were Protestants who believed in Irish independence first and last.

After Ireland is reunified, I want Scotland, Wales and Cornwall independent.

I also want us Celts to stop quarreling as much as we do, but while I am mainly Celtic, I am not an idiot, so I am not optimistic on that score.

      • Lion’s Mane

        1. I must begin by stating that I have not studied the history of Ireland and the conflict there. If the country was invaded and divided by force of arms — this is crazy. My natural inclination is to want a unified Ireland. Ireland should belong to the native Irish. If all the indigenous people living in Ireland share the same ancestry and are truly Irish, how did the British succeed in dividing the country? Was there a civil war? (Please forgive my ignorance. The only history I read — to date, anyway — is biography.)
        2. The religious aspect of this is insane. Atheist Richard Dawkins says that theology is a non-subject. The fact that people murder others over theological opinions proves that theology is not a rational subject. Theology is the most dangerous kind of superstition. Theology destroys family ties and national ties and racial ties. It is very dangerous.
        3. I am a American of Scottish descent and I also agree with and support an independent Scotland. Every historical nation has a right to be free and independent.
        4. None of this should be taken that I am in any way anti-English. I just think that if England has done wrong in Ireland, she should “repent” of this and regain her honor. I admire England. But I also admire just about every European country. Heck! I even admire Japan!

Obama is totally correct, the future him and his handlers have planned for this country depends on these invading vermin. That is why the government is stealing the fruits of your labor and giving it away to it’s newly elected people. America left it’s White citizens behind a long time ago. It hates you and doesn’t want you. The good news is these newly minted “Amurrikans” aren’t a quarter the men and women our ancestors were. All the brown invaders in the world can’t stop us if we just say no to the future our overlords have planned for us. Saying no doesn’t mean writing your congressmen and voting “R” however. Our ancestors had to earn this continent the hard way and we will have to retake it the same way.

Obama just reminded us…. that he’s truly an idiot, a traitor and should be impeached as soon as possible. One of the main problems with Obama is his successor is going to be just as bad, only white.

    • JDInSanD

His successor may be white but will never be a male again.

      • John

Good grief. I didn’t even think about that aspect of it. The way the media’s chosenites have been pimping “alternative lifestyles”, we’re liable to wind up with some dirt bag like that Conchita Wurst freakozoid over in Europe. I’m just about at the point where I say the worse the better. That would push even more white people to the tipping point and we could get started on what really needs to be done.

  • Reading Obama’s words, he’s a liar. Plain and simple, a liar. And not a very good one. These creatures that he claims love this country are parasites, leeches, bloodsuckers, sucking the lifeblood out of traditional America by stealing our jobs, murderering us, and raping our women.

Obama is pure evil scum. He is not my president and this is no longer my country. Until we achieve separation, we must do everything within our powers to fowl up the system, so cause it to collapse. I wish I could figure out how to get on welfare and food stamps, but that’s probably not feasible. The sabotage of the system does NOT include assassination like those two alleged white supremacists carried out in Vegas.

  • 4321realist

These types we’re getting from south of the border aren’t rocket scientists by any measure of the imagination, but they still outscore blacks on I.Q. tests as a group; they have a better work ethic; a better attitude, and they outperform blacks greatly in the work place.

I wonder if the community organizer understands that these people amount to replacements for blacks?

If he did he wouldn’t be chuckling to himself in self-admiration about his evil scheme designed to destroy the honkeys and their country.

Blacks are their own worst enemies.

Also, Obama is just as much a traitor to his own people as to Whites. How any Black can approve of what this man says and does is beyond comprehension. Indeed, the fact that Obama wants to harm his own race is a mystery. I think that his own person hatred of Whites and desire for liberal revenge is the dominant driving force in his politics — even at the expense of his own people. Being of mixed-race, Obama is mentally confused as to who and what he himself really is.

      • IstvanIN

Black approve of Obama for the same reason they support Mugabe: they’re stupid.

  • dd121

Obama didn’t say what his vision of that future will be, now did he?

  • Truthseeker

Very few non-European immigrants truly love this country. They come here and get indoctrinated by the institutions to hate the very founding stock that made it the kind of country they wanted to immigrate to. If they love this country, it’s only because it’s an opportunity to expand their people’s territory at the expense of our people, while enjoying the benefits of the wealth our people created. They’re a bunch of ingrates who don’t recognize our right to be ourselves, while reserving their own right to be themselves.

They’ve played us for suckers long enough. It’s time to tell these people no, they aren’t just as American as we are. No, they don’t have an inherent right to be here. No, we don’t owe them anything. No, we aren’t going to give away the inheritance our ancestors left us, the product of their blood, sweat and tears, to a bunch of people who have no respect for it. This country belongs to us, not the entire world.

  • Ted Cunterblast

They’re not “American as apple pie.” Far from it. They’re not even American.

“American as apple pie”? WTF??? So, when did we start making apple pies out of habanero peppers, cactus and a fing corn husk? If they are the future, and, apparently they are, then there is no future. Oh, and, by the way obama, I don’t know about everybody else, but, I sure as hell don’t love them back. And, incidentally? They don’t love this country, either. They are just biding their time until they turn it into mexico norte. Then when that turns into crap, onward to Canada and turn that into el crappo as well.

    • Einsatzgrenadier

By the time the mestizos are ready to migrate further north, Canada will already be a third world dump. Mexico and Bangladesh will one day share a border with each other. It will not be peaceful.

Only would some dumb black socialist say that these “dreamers” are equal to the millions of white farmers, laborers, explorers, and industrialists who founded and settled this former nation.

  • OhWow

This didn’t make the mainstream news of course, but over 200 of the young illegal aliens were stopped at the border and the agents asked them why they came. You know what they said? “We heard that President Obama might give us all citizenship if we come now”. THAT is what they are thinking. It’s not about avoiding poverty or corruption. It’s about knowing Obama will let them stay.

America is like a fancy club with a never ending line of illegals walking over the dead bodies of the bouncers who were stampeded years ago. We have no borders. RIP America.

This reminded me of a quote from former Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez:

“The reality is, we don’t have enough people,” said Gutierrez, adding that many of the USA’s economic competitors, such as France, Germany, Japan and China, will be facing a similar demographic shift. “The big challenge of the 21st century is: Who gets the people? Who gets the immigrants?” he said. “We don’t appreciate today that these people are coming in for free.”
