Sharpton on SCOTUS Upholding Affirmative Action Ban: ‘We Must Mobilize Immediately’

Trey Sanchez, Truth Revolt, April 22, 2014

A 6-2 vote on Tuesday in the U.S. Supreme Court upheld Michigan’s ban on using affirmative action for university admissions and Al Sharpton is none too happy, calling it a “devastating blow to the civil rights community” and sending out the battle cry to “mobilize immediately.”

Here is Sharpton’s released statement via his National Action Network:

The Supreme Court decision upholding the state of Michigan’s ban of using race as a factor in affirmative action is a devastating blow to the civil rights community. The ramifications of this will be far reaching and could tie us up in endless battles. We must mobilize immediately for state referendums to counter this decision to protect the ongoing battle to redress the historic needed repairs to racial discrimination.

The ruling simply upheld the passing of the 2006 ballot initiative of adding an amendment to the Michigan constitution that bans the practice. At that time, Sharpton voiced his opinions loudly, shouting at a rally:

If you do not keep affirmative action in place, you will not have a job at all.

  • “We must mobilize immediately…”

    Bring it. Please, oh please!

They will. They have nothing but time on their hands.

That’s the only job this race-hustling joker has ever held in his life.

    • jane johnson

There was that snitching gig he had for awhile.

      • He only did that to avoid prosecution himself.

        • jane johnson

I read somewhere that one of the people he ratted on was a former dining companion of yours (VG). Wondering why he was allowed to live.

          • $harpton’s identity as a snitch was kept secret until only this year, and I doubt they would consider wasting a buffoon like $harpton to be worth their trouble. Mr. Gigante died of natural causes at age 77 at FMC Springfield. When I met him at Ft. Worth in 2003, he was in “Dallas” dorm, which was basically a hospice anyway, so his health may not have been very good at the time. Strangely, he seemed like a nice enough fellow, and from what I understand, he pleaded guilty in order to take the heat off his relatives. My own release came only a few months later when I MRD’ed my sentence.

  • Good. Nothing could help our cause or benefit the cause of dismantling AA than Al Sharpton mobilizing his goon squad to try and save it.

    Bring it on.

    “…decision…is a devastating blow…etc.”
    Sure hope he’s right.

  • Truthseeker

Thanks, Rev’m Al, for admitting that even you know your people can’t succeed in a White man’s society without special treatment.

    • A Freespeechzone

I’d argue that even with special treatment most are inept—look at Obama.

    • Jewish Islamophobe

What’s a white man’s society? Extreme poverty always existed even when the white man lived in complete homogenous societies in their native Europe at the peak of British, French and German Empire while dominating rest of the world as sole superpower. “Success” like back then as it is today relativistic. Its too ironic for the White people to claim “success” with their unfair advantage of naturally having relatively higher IQ and facial beauty vis-à-vis other colored races. White people are still a dominating class in worldwide entertainment, porn, finance, banking, sports, science and exploring industry. No other human race is found in such a quantity and quality on five different continents despite the official end of era of colonialism, slavery, imperialism and other global inequalities that haunted global humanity for centuries. So just your obvious lies where they came from!

      • IstvanIN

We will always have the poor as well as the “rich”. Does anyone think that in an “egalitarian” society such as Cuba or Red China the Castro boys or Madame Mao were suffering?

        • Jewish Islamophobe

Yes, we will always have rich and poor. No, doubt about that. Even Jews like myself suffer extreme poverty in our own land Israel, despite all that neverending conspiracy rhetoric about us being the wealthiest people on this planet, which of course we are not!
But what we can do together is to eradicate extreme poverty from relatively rich and developed parts of the world. In scandinavia they have a welfare system built according to people’s minimum need and not according to their greed. Greedy people can always make money, tons of money. But for the losers, the poor, there is always some refuge to be found. I mean not on the street but at a respectable home payed by the taxpayer until an opportunity for doing some decent work arises. This model is working fine despite mass immigration of non-White people over there.

          • ncpride

And in your naïve world, these masses of non-White people being allowed to ‘immigrate’ to Scandinavia will be able to maintain this standard of living with no education, much lower IQ’s, no skills to speak of and probably can’t speak the language on top of that? I try not to get ugly on this site, but yours is the dumbest post I’ve read in a while. These ‘immigrants’ will turn these countries into the very cesspools they fled.

          • Excellent, ncpride! Couldn’t have said it better myself!

          • Diana Moon Glampers

All right, who let Barbara Spectre in?

I’m disappointed that the rev. didn’t call Clarence Thomas an Uncle Tom for voting with the evil White males.

  • ncpride

It says this country, and White people are no where near as ‘racist’ as ‘ole Al would have you believe.

  • Truthseeker

That you’re most likely on the right side of the bell curve.

  • Reverend Al’s version of civil rights can be summed up in one word: Gibsmedat. In his private moments, he’s smiling over the SCOTUS ruling because it means more white libtards and Jews will be giving his “civil rights organization” more money, which means more wine, women, and song for Rev. Al. BTW, aren’t Reverends supposed to mention the word “God” once in a while?

  • Geo1metric

If you’re even half-smart and black, succeeding in this country (US) is very easy. Universities and corporations actively recruit people like you. You can easily get a free ride to those same universities, graduating with no debt, and slide into a well-paying job in corporate America.

I, a White man in America, have replaced you as the new ni**er.

    • Dave4088

Right, that scares the bejesus out of them. If AA is ever ended I guarantee riots and threats of violence.

  • WR_the_realist

Al Sharpton at least admits that black people can not compete on their merits. He knows that an awful lot of those middle class jobs that black people have would disappear if you could just hire the best person you could find.

  • RisingReich

You probably are not aware of the special treatment you have gotten.

  • Geo1metric

    Tawana Brawley.

    • borogirl54

I was just thinking about her. She was one of Sharpton’s flunkies.

      • Geo1metric

She was complicit with $harpton in a huge public fraud claiming that Brawley was gang-raped, etc. Check it on the web.

        Worth reading.

        • borogirl54

I know. I read all about her in a book put out by the NY Times. They admitted that she was a fraud. The only reason she did what she did is because she skipped school and went to see her boyfriend in jail and did not want to get a beating by her stepfather. She chose to claim that she was raped by a gang of white men so that her stepfather could divert his anger from her to those so called white men. But it got out of hand. In fact, in the book there was an account of a witness that saw her put dog poop on herself and actually get in a trash bag, things she claimed that the white men did to her.

      • Actually, Tawana Brawley was one of $harpton’s brighter students. The flunky was Crystal Mangum, now in prison for murdering her (black) boyfriend.

        • borogirl54

Wasn’t that the girl that claimed that Duke lacrosse players raped her without any evidence of such? It was ridiculous that these young men were vilified because of her false charges.

          • r j p

Black stripper equals whore willing to please any white man.

          • Bingo. It gets better than that. When she became angry with a different boyfriend (who was wise enough to leave her afterward), she smashed out the windows of his car, slashed his tires, dumped his clothes into their apartment’s bath tub, doused them with lighter fluid and then set them on fire.

Mangum skated on the “arson of an occupied dwelling” charge, but was convicted of “reckless child endangerment”, because her kid was in the apartment at the time.

The boyfriend she killed was warned by his own sister that Mangum was a dangerous psychopath, but didn’t listen. When Mangum went bonkers again, she stabbed him, and he died in the hospital a few days later.

  • So CAL Snowman

You sound very biter in regards to the “White man’s society.” I’m sure you would have had a better life and more success in Africa or Haiti or Mexico or Honduras or Nicaragua or North Korea or Iran or Iraq or Saudi Arabia.

state referendums to counter this decision to protect the ongoing battle to redress the historic needed repairs to racial discrimination.

I love it when they try to speak English. Always good for a laugh.

I agree that racial discrimination is in a terrible state and in need of repairs to bring it back up to full implementation.

  • Who Me?

It says that you are a man and you stand on your own two feet and make your own way in life, and despite all of the rhetoric put out by Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan and all the rest, you haven’t had to fight your way through “the impenetrable racism of America”. (Which doesn’t exist.)
BTW, I don’t think anyone here at AmRen believes that ALL black people are less intelligent, or have the other dysfunctional traits found mostly in black ghettos. It’s a matter of AVERAGES and PERCENTAGES.

It’s about extorting money from corporations that hire employees based upon talent–only to be sued by these race baiters to force diversity without talent.

It says you are part of the Talented Twenty-Fifth — the ~4% who did not vote for Obama. Formerly the Talented Tenth (to use W.E.B. DuBois’ term) before decades of welfare-induced dysgenics took their toll. Another decade or two at this rate and we will be talking about the Talented Tenth of 1%.

I worked with several blacks like yourself in the 1980s during my time in the USAF, and respected them all. The slackers and “gibsmedat” types did not last long. Ironically, the best way to insure the races get along is to do what the USAF did back then and treat everyone exactly the same across the board. As a result, my racial awareness had to wait until I left the service. In fact, I’m sure there is at least one alternate universe out there where I never married, and therefore became intensely involved with one particular black co-worker early in my 2nd hitch. Over the years I have often wondered how that relationship would have turned out, since there is no way to visit any of those alternate universes.

  • me

As long as you admit to having ‘special treatment’ and ‘special status’ as a race, even though you’d like to pretend that it doesn’t happen….

Only you wouldn’t have the advantages of living in the USA–built by and created by Whites. You wouldn’t have things like indoor plumbing, electricity, central air, public education, grocery stores, computers and internet, advanced medicine, dental hygiene, etc. Thank your lucky stars that you can take advantage of all of the things that the altruistic, intelligent, and creative White man have given to the world. You’re welcome.

    • Fair Dinkum

Would you guys please quit trying to take credit for Nighthawk’s achievement away from him? We should be above this.

  • Was the 1250 on the old 1600 scale or the new 2400 scale? Even on the former, it isn’t very impressive.

    • ncpride

The 2400 scale was implemented in 2005, so has been in place for 9 years, so a score of 1250 is not very impressive indeed.

      • On the current scale, 1250 would be lower than average even for blacks. So I assume his score is on the 1600 scale. In that case, 1250, though not a brilliant score, is above average.

  • Truthseeker

Nighthawk, I can’t speak for anyone else here, but I personally don’t begrudge Blacks their success if it’s achieved through their own intelligence and hard work. If you earn something fair and square, you deserve it. I know there are many out there like you, and I have no ill will toward them, as long as they don’t use their talents to work against Whites. I’m also aware (as you seem to be too) that there are average differences between the races, and that people who try to stick it to Whites by blaming them for racial achievement gaps (such as Al Sharpton) are charlatans who deserve to be mocked.

I’m sure that as a Black man who is intelligent and capable enough to succeed on your own merits, the lower classes of Blacks probably frustrate you. I’m not completely unsympathetic, as I wouldn’t want to be lumped in with them either. Just know that for some of us here in the AmRen comment section, a lot of what we say is venting about the tendencies of certain racial groups, not a blanket hatred for all members of those groups. Also, please understand that many of us racially-aware Whites are getting sick of the denigration of our culture and people that’s becoming more and more pervasive throughout this society. This is a rare forum where we can discuss these things openly, so sometimes those frustrations spill out. Don’t take it personally.

    • Paul Lycurgues

precisely my thoughts; you just expressed them better than I could.

  • I think you’re missing an important point here. Race realists are not saying that some blacks aren’t intelligent and haven’t worked hard to get where they are at. There are always exceptions to everything.

What we are saying is that, in general, blacks who succeed often do so because of AA ‘programs’ that give them preferences and, in many cases, require less of them than what is required of whites.

And yes, you’re not alone. There are other blacks who have succeeded without the help of AA or racial preferences. But there’s not as many as you have been led to believe. The vast majority of blacks simply can’t compete with whites and Asians in a plethora of areas once the AA programs are out of the picture.

  • I can only speak for myself, but YES I am convinced of “black inferiority” because I witness it every day in my line of work, what I see on TV, and I what I hear reported on the nightly news. More than that, blacks by their dysfunctional ways and manner of life have already proven to their entire world that they are inferior. Both history and human experience has confirmed it time after time.

At the same time, this doesn’t cause me to deny or feel threatened when a black man or woman succeeds in life without the help of AA or anything else established by the kindness of the white man.

  • Perhaps, but realize that the endless opportunities for success and life improvement, altruism, and kindness that whites routinely shed on blacks and other ‘minorities’ would not be so readily available as it is in white, Western nations. Only in WHITE countries is the black man treated with decency. The rest of the world knows the history of the black man all too well, and they’re not nearly as nice and accommodating – or foolish! – as we are. Never forget this.

It says you figured it out. Go to school and get an education. Learn to respect your elders, teachers and those in authority over you. Work hard and do what you are supposed to do. Live like mature, grown up people need to act in order to function in society. You have more impact once you are educated. No one will listen to an uneducated person regardless of their race, ethnicity or skin color.

  • I don’t have a problem with blacks who earn their own way. I just wish more were like you. You are the exception.

  • RisingReich

Would that be .001? (Just kidding!)

  • Geo1metric

Ok, I’ll go with the SAT score, but beyond that, how do you know you have not benefited from AA? That’s something, in my opinion, that you cannot know.

And yes, I am convinced on the basis of the evidence, that blacks are intellectually inferior to Whites.

We all know about the Bell Curve; you fall on the left side of it. So what?

  • Geo1metric

If you are not convinced of black intellectual inferiority, then there is something terribly wrong with your powers of observation.

As I stated above, you fall to the left of the average.

  • RisingReich

Great job on the proof reading. The reality I’m speaking of is Affirmative Action and hiring/firing preferences that YOU can’t deny exist. If you want Whites like myself to ‘give respect’ to ‘high achieving blacks’ then you need to start campaigning for the removal of AA.

See if you can stand on your own two feet without all the help before you try to tell me your not getting any. Get real.

  • PvtCharlieSlate
