Obama Administration Planning Fixes to Immigration Law in Coming Weeks

Susan Ferrechio, Washington Examiner, April 16, 2014

House Democrats, who are stepping up the pressure on Republicans to take up comprehensive immigration reform legislation, said Tuesday the Obama administration is getting ready to take executive action on the matter very soon.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson earlier this month told House Democrats he’ll take action in the next few weeks on “fixes” to immigration law, most likely dealing with deportation.

“He gave us a time frame, and there are some fixes that are going to be coming sooner, which is in the next few weeks. And then there are some broader policy changes that will be coming later this year,” Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo., said in a conference call.

Johnson is currently reviewing the Obama administration’s deportation policies amid criticism and pressure from immigration reform advocates who say Obama has deported more illegal immigrants than any other president.

Rep. Joe Garcia, D-Fla., who was in the meeting, told the Washington Examiner, Johnson did not specifically say what changes he is mulling, “except to say there are some short terms actions that he is going to take and some longer term actions.”

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus gave Johnson a memo when they met with him, outlining the changes they believe are needed when it comes to deportation. The CHC plan includes expanding Obama’s recent order to defer deportations of people who arrived here illegally as children, so that parents, family members and some workers are also excluded from having to leave the country if they are here illegally.

The CHC also wants Johnson to consider a proposal to allow non-citizen family members who are living outside the U.S. to “reunite with their families in the United States,” and be allowed to apply for a green card, even if they have been deported. {snip}

Garcia said Johnson reacted positively to the CHC proposals.

“He didn’t seem displeased with it and he didn’t tamp down expectations,” Garcia said.

    Blah, blah, blah…

    ‘Comprehensive immigration reform’ = Amnesty
    Period – /EOJ

    Yadda, yadda, yadda…

    • Pro_Whitey

I must add, not only amnesty, but no enforcement, and also massive increases in legal immigration. A trifecta to drive down wages, reduce job opportunities, and degrade working conditions.

      • This is the fundamental change Obama was talking about!

  • They can’t make it any clearer that they are the enemies of American citizens, white and black. The dumb blacks are going to be hurt as much or more than whites. But blackie will embrace anything his Democrat plantation masters tell him to. As to a response, if there are laws in this clusterfreak of a jambalaya anymore, then a lawsuit against the govenment is called for.

    • So CAL Snowman

Whites have far more to lose than the blacks. What are the blacks going to lose, section 8 preferences and some welfare gibsmedat? Whites are going to lose everything our ancestors built, our entire culture, our breeding space, and our race.

    • Einsatzgrenadier

Whites are going to need more than just a lawsuit. Whites need to start exercising their Second Amendment rights and fast before we end up with another Brazil on our hands.

      • Guest

Agreed. Besides, every time a gentile files a lawsuit the Jew makes a shiny penny.

  • borogirl54

So this means that people who are convicted criminals can rejoin their families and get a green card? Ridiculous.

    • Bossman

I don’t think it would apply to convicted felons but to people who were deported for minor offenses and who pose no threats to the society.

      • RisingReich

If they are here illegally, they ARE a threat to society. GOD!

        • Bossman

Not according to the established law of the land. To be here without proper documentation is defined by law as a misdemeanor.

          • RisingReich

I’m talking about reality not the made up in the clouds ‘law’ that is selectively ‘enforced’. Get real.

            He’s a mexican anchor baby.Please ignore him.

          • INS vs Lopez-Mendoza

It basically gutted real immigration law enforcement.

          • Unlawful return after being deported for a felony is a two-year federal felony all on its own.

          • Bossman

Yes, but I wasn’t talking about that.

          • CircleTheWagons

Correct you are. But it’s a federal misdemeanor which means that by federal immigration law they are not eligible for US citizenship due to the fact that they have committed a federal misdemeanor. That’s why they need an act of congress to waive the violation and grant them amnesty. So save your tripe, no one wants to hear an uneducated fool spout off about laws they know nothing about.

          • Bossman

A misdemeanor is a misdemeanor no matter if it is state or federal. I’ve heard the people at the head of immigration for the government describe it as a civil offense no greater than jaywalking.

      • They are a demographic threat to our society, just looking at the mess they have made in Mexico completely disproves your argument.

Just today, the President made a surprise visit to a WH briefing. He stated that “Ukraine sovereignty must be respected.” Wouldn’t it be great if he felt the same way about his own country. We’ve been invaded for several decades and no one has done anything about securing, or “respecting” our border.

    • OnGuard

Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution directs the federal gov’t. to “protect the States from invasion”. It does not specify “military invasion”. Anyone can agree that 20 million illegals constitutes an invasion! Yet not only is the federal gov’t. not doing their specified job, but instead spends taxpayer money to fight Arizona’s attempt to save itself from that INVASION!

“Fixing” immigration to the Dems means simply getting more votes, legally and illegally, for the Democratic Party. For the treasonous Republicans, it means getting more short term slave wage workers into the fields, chicken processing plants, and restaurants and casinos. But they don’t STAY there and since they are “undocumented” they both work and seek welfare, sending money back to mexico. There is absolutely NO upside for the traditional American citizen in third world immigration to this country. The money they make doesn’t stay here, it goes elsewhere. They at the same time drain our taxes through welfare and using hospitals as physicians for free. And they bring their third world criminality into our society causing more tax drain for additional police presence, ER needs, drug addictions, and third world diseases once eradicated from the US now back in force. Grant all the amnesty you want. They will NOT become tax payers. They will still work under the table and collect welfare at the same time, sending their money to the same places. What THEY gain is security. No threat of deportation. And they can bring their families here. What we gain is ultimately a third world country while Israel, Russia, China and Japan laugh their butts off at our demise, weakness, and vulnerability.

I find it criminal that Secretary Jeh Johnson, is actively trying to undermine those laws
which he is supposed to be enforcing, while campaigning on behalf of those
which broke those laws. Why is this traitor still in his position of leadership?
This is indicative of how sick this country has become.

This has certain parallels to 1930 Nazi Germany. Instead of Jews being persecuted, it’s
White Americans, by traitors in our government that desire to decimate White
Americans, via third world illegal invasion.

    • kenfrombayside

If the continuing unwanted invasion of legal and illegal immigration isn’t a form of racial genocide against whites, then I don’t know what is. My latest protest action: returning a John “crybaby” Boehner fundraising letter with some appropriate comments about his ineffectual leadership and his ambivalent comments on amnesty.

  • What ever happened to all those volunteer Minutemen on our border, fell out of fashion?

    Filth.

  • ViktorNN

This should alienate some more white voters from the Dem Party.

    • kenfrombayside

This should be the ideal white democrat vote: 0%

“Treason doth never prosper. What’s the reason? Why, if it prosper, none dare call it treason.”

Amnesty, be it legislative or administrative, is treason.

I shudder to think what this nation will look like before Obama’s reign is over.

    • IstvanIN

Come to NJ, we are usually a microcosm of the US.

      • mobilebay

Thanks for the invitation but I live in Texas and see daily what we’ve become.

  • The rush is on, the mid-term elections are just around the corner. The liberals need as many new voters as possible so Obama will open the illegal alien flood gates.

  • De Doc

I think most of us knew what was going to happen when they started talking about immigration reform. Even the Republicans, anxious to tap into voting demographics that will never go their way politically, selfishly attached themselves to the sickening and silly effort to amnesty the Third World detritus “one more time.”
