Valentine’s Day Snub Prompts Boyfriend Attack

The Smoking Gun, February 15, 2012

Angered that her boyfriend did not buy her a Valentine’s Day gift, an Ohio woman last night attacked the man, who barricaded himself inside a bedroom as she threatened to stab him with a kitchen knife, police allege.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies busted Kierra Reed, a 22-year-old Cincinnati resident, for aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor. {snip}

According to investigators, Reed got into an argument with Henry Brown when she did not receive a Valentine’s Day present from him. Reed, cops allege, initially pushed and scratched Brown, who sought refuge in the apartment’s bedroom

While Brown was locked in the bedroom, Reed “threatened to kill him and cut him,” according to a sheriff’s report. She then got a knife and “began cutting the door in an attempt to get to the victim.”

  • Elevated levels of testosterone or centuries of white oppression?  I wonder which will get the blame.

    • I’ve seen reports on conflicting results in studies on the testosterone level. One study says Blacks have the same testosterone level as we, and other that they have ca. 15-20% higher level. Whom to believe ?

    My favorite Valentine gift from my husband was not “bought” at all. The first year we were married, we were like any young couple just starting out. We didn’t have a lot, or a lot of money back then, so on our very first Valentines day together, he wrote me… a love letter on a simple sheet of paper sealed in a white envelope. Although he has since been able to buy me expensive things should I want them, nothing compares to that letter he wrote 20 years ago that I still have and cherish the most. So you see fellas, it really doesn’t take much to make us happy. Well, most of us anyway.

    Can you really blame them for wanting White women after reading stories like this?

    “Kierra Reed” looks about as attractive as Lou Reed.

    I’m sure he’ll remember to get her a Valentine’s card next year.
